  1. They said nothing about the flume... which makes me think it's staying.
  2. ^ I second that... plus the stream sucks.
  3. Here's something from screamscape that talks about splintercat. I for one love the possibility of that being the name.
  4. If you look through their twitter there is some info on that.
  5. At the park right now. Not very crowded. Everything is 30 minutes or less with the exception of Valravn which is 45 and Maverick which is over an hour.
  6. I'm in line for Raptor at Cedar Point right now.
  7. Finally going to ride Iron Dragon VR later today! Can't wait! *Edit* It was awesome! Haven't ridden any of the Six Flags ones so I have nothing to compare it with, but it was certainly a ton of fun!
  8. Damn... that would be a perfect fit for the park
  9. ^ It's actually been running pretty consistently this year.
  10. Take it for what's it's worth, but one project I heard is for Kennywood. Another was CP, but for 2018 opening. Not sure how reliable the info is though. If Kennywood built anything RMC I would drop out of school and relocate to West Mifflin. I second this.
  11. My bet is a premier launch coaster like Tempesto (I forget the model name) in the dragsters old spot. I don't know if they have the clearance for that though.
  12. Quick write up from our visit last Wednesday and Thursday. This year was our second visit to the park, the first being last year right after the 4th of July. The park quickly found itself at the top of my list of favorite amusement parks. Yes the rides at parks like Cedar Point might be better but the amusement park as a whole is just so much better than any other park I've been to. Because of our visit last year, our expectations for the park were very, very high and of course they were exceeded. There is just something about Holiday World. Maybe it's as simple as the free pop or how nice the employees are. But what ever it is, Holiday World is by far my favorite park to visit. The park is beautiful. The rides are fun, and anybody you talk to that is an employee is exceptionally nice. The same can be said for the waterpark as well. Both parks are also very efficient in their ride and waterside operations. In summary, it was a great two days at the park and we can't wait to return to the park. Reviews for each coaster: Wildebeest: Very fun, especially the large drop into a tunnel. We rode once, but could've ridden more with the single rider line. Mammoth: We liked this one a little better than Wildebeest. The new tubes were very comfy and the two air time hills were great. We rode twice thanks to the Single rider line. Raven: Crazy as always. A little rough but would be a lot worse if it was at a park that didn't take such good care of it like HW does. Voyage: Longer more awesome, air time filled, version of Raven. Legend: Ok so I never thought the ride was *that* bad. Yes it had its rough spots but it was still pretty rideable in my opinion. That being said, I was still excited to ride the *new* Legend, and it totally blew me away. I didn't think a wooden coaster could be that smooth but still have great laterals. Voyage was my favorite wooden coaster at the park last year, but Legend took that spot this year. Thunderbird: Awesome coaster for this park. Smooth everywhere and an awesome theme. My favorite ride in the park. Like I said, a great visit that had pretty small crowds in the amusement park and the crowds were manageable in the waterpark thanks to how efficient things were being run. We can't wait to go back next year!
  13. ^ Yep, the greatness of Woodstock Express.
  14. ^ To your point, I went once a couple years ago and won't go back again until they start getting two trains on everything. A major theme park only having 1 train is absolutely unacceptable. It's a shame because it is a pretty nice park..
  15. My son is 16 and hates Vortex with a passion. He thought it was rideable until about 2 years ago.
  16. I think it's actually called pointfest
  17. I've never heard of a concert venue at CP besides the Luminosity stage
  18. Thought you guys might be interested in this. Sorry if this has been posted already http://storyworks.tv/nostalgia/flying-turns-3/
  19. Hi guys... write up from my first ever Trip to the park last Tuesday. We got to the park at about 3. Obviously wasn't crowded at all and most of the people that were there were in the waterpark. We went straight to Kentucky Rumbler and rode it twice. After that we went through the rest of the park riding the new family coaster Spinning Out, the car ride, drop tower, log flume, Wild Mouse, Vortex, and the dark ride. It was so hot that we just had to go to the waterpark. The waterpark is very nice for what it is! The new complex is great! We ended the night with two rides on Rumbler, including the final train of the night in the front seat. In conclusion, great little park with a lot of charm! Definitely worth a few hours if you are in the area. The employees were all very nice too! Reviews of some of the rides: Rumbler: Great GCI woodie! Some rough spots but smoother than Thunderhead which we had ridden the day before. Very re-rideable! Dark Ride: We rode it right after it had reopened from being broken down. The lights were on in the ride (which I assume isn't normal) so it kinda took away from the experience. The animatronics worked surprisingly well. Spinning Out: Very fun little family/Junior coaster! Great for a park like Beech Bend! Wild Mouse: It sucked. Thanks Beech Bend for a fun evening!
  20. Love keeping up with this TR! Can't wait to see the rest.
  21. That would've honestly been awesome.
