  1. I believe they have all been released. I know the Monsters and Barracuda have both released their schedules. I think it's odd and I absolutely hate it. Most of the time it's always only one team per matchup that is playing their 3rd game in three nights. So therefore the other team almost always has the advantage when one team is playing their 3rd game in 3 nights. It's ok to have 3 games in 3 nights in baseball because it is no where near as punishing of a sport as hockey.
  2. ^ Didn't know Ontario was doing well. Again, good for the AHL. Agreed with San Jose. During the regular season the can hardly fill the Tank for an NHL game, what makes them think that they'll be able to get any decent crowds for the AHL?
  3. ^ Yea the AHL finally makes geographical sense. From what I understand, San Diego is drawing some pretty large crowds, so that's good that at least one of the new West coast teams is bringing in a lot of money for the league.
  4. To be fair, I'm not exactly going out on a limb by saying any of things I just said. I guarantee that pretty much all of it will be 100% accurate because it happens every single year. Opening day is ALWAYS a disaster. If you're a passholder then by all means go and get some rides in, but if it's a big trip for someone and they've been saving up to visit I would wait until at least Memorial Day to visit Cedar Point. Seriously... This
  5. I would bet a large chunk of change that it will open on Saturday, May 6th. 10AM-10PM with a highly unorganized early entry at 9AM where just about no coasters will run until about 9:45 because it's opening day and enthusiasts will bitch as if they didn't expect it. Then the site will be flooded with people bitching about how Cedar Point didn't seem ready for opening day because tons of rides were closed and it was a sh*t show. Friday will probably be Ohio State Day with an equally disorganized preview night to follow. Lines for Season Pass processing will be hilariously long and will lead to tons of bitching on TPR and social media from people who were too dumb to just renew their passes online and keep using the same ones. And for anyone laughing or thinking this was a ridiculous post, come dig it up on May 6th 2017 and see how ridiculous it actually was. You are spot on sir.
  6. Yea you definitely caught it on a bad day... That's really a shame. Just in the last couple of weeks they have started allowing people to wait for the front seat if the choose.
  7. ^ What's wrong with that seat? I love the right side back! To me, Valravn is great! I've ridden Griffon and it completely knocks that out of the water! For what it is worth, the GP absolutely adores the ride.
  8. Very, very interesting! Thanks for doing this.
  9. If theres any argument for Cedar Fair to take over, the lack of trash cans is the number 1 argument.
  10. Same here based on his other posts. They seem to be too well worded. This probably isn't the place to talk about that as it's entirely off topic and I'm sorry about that but I'm officially creeped the hell out. Yikes I didn't even think about that... there are some messed up people out there. Anyways... Yes there is early entry for Gold and Platinum pass holders. Not sure which rides it is on though. There is also early entry for gold and platinum pass holders for the water park. The new slide complex and the new wave pool are the two attractions available. Also, after early ride time on Friday morning I would head over to Firehawk and Flight of Fear right away. Those two generally have the longest lines. After that I would head to beast and diamondback.
  11. You should be able to get into the park. It may be different for the Breakers gate but I've gotten in the front gate with a half hour left in the day.
  12. My best guess would be everything besides millennium, TTD, Maverick, and Valravn will be a walk on. Maverick and Valravn will probably be 45 minutes at the very, very worst. TTD and MF will be 20-25 minutes.
  13. In the hole in my heart that formed after KD's announcement.
  14. At least you guys made the playoffs under Torts I kinda wish CBJ would have taken Coach Bednar from the Monsters.... He's a damn good Coach.
  15. I did know that and that's actually a good idea. I'll definitely consider that in the near future. The only drawback would be giving money to a team that has an affiliation with the damn Capitals. Haha I get you there. I'm a CBJ fan so the Pens are three team I hate... Found at Cedar Point today, it is Cleveland Fan Appreciation Week:
  16. ^ The old arena almost looks like a glorified rec center. Yikes. It does look a heck of a lot better now than it did though! It's kinda a bucket list item of mine to go to an AHL game at every AHL arena.
  17. That's a good plan of attack for early entry. The park is only open till 8 on Monday and Tuesday so I don't think you should have much problems with waits. Millennium, Dragster, Maverick, and Valravn should be under 45 minutes. Probably closer to only about a half hour, or less. Everything else will most likely be 10 minutes or less. Can't miss flats... the only one I'd say is Skyhawk and, if it's a clear day, Windseeker. Food: I absolutely adore Frontier Inn chicken. It's right next to Maverick's exit. Also the fresh cut French fries with buffalo sauce are also really, really good. Hope this helps!
  18. I think it opens at like 9. The early entry gate is beyond Starbucks so people can go there. As for music? No music but there will be loud teenage girls.
  19. You can go to a Bears game and hershey park to make a weekend out of it! If you didn't know, The Giant Center where this Bears play is right in Hersheyparks parking lot. That's pretty sad that they didn't even have a scoreboard over center ice. Do you by chance have any pictures from inside the old arena? Kinda crazy they played in an arena like that meanwhile the monsters were playing in this arena:
  20. Just seeing if this thread can catch any interest or any discussion. Hopefully it can, if not, oh well. -Proud season ticket holder of the 2016 Calder Cup Champions, the Lake Erie (Now Cleveland) Monsters.
