I rode it about 8 times combined on Wednesday and Thursday in the front of a car each time and it seemed a bit rougher than when we were there the week of the 4th of July last year. Still an insane ride though. I wish I could've ridden it before they started using the MCBR again.

At the park now... pretty dead for a saturday because of the crazy heat. Longest line is 25-30 minutes for Beast and Diamondback.

What's the parks policy for hip packs on the coasters? Do you have to take them off and put in a storage area or can you wear them?

Uh that's very odd. Usually it's about 10 or less by now. Are 2 trains running/was there some kind of downtime? Yes 2 trains and no, no downtime... the line turned out to be about a half hour. Wow. That's still crazy. Normally it would be winding down to a near walk on by that time. Must have just been an abnormally crowded day. The park did seem a bit crowded today but the other coasters where walk on's most of the day. Maybe most people came today instead of tomorrow since it's supposed to be hotter than hell tomorrow.

Tell me more about the Chicken salad! Where did you get it and did it have a lot of added "stuff" in with it or was it pretty simple? It was at Granny Ogle's on the Craftsmans Trail. I would say it was pretty simple, chicken mixed with mayo and some spices that I can't quite figure out what they were... but it was excellent!

So I was at Dollywood the last two days and despite no LR, we had a fantastic time! Wild Eagle really seemed to be hauling this year. Mystery Mine was running a bit smoother than I remember it last year. Fire Chaser Express was a ton of fun as usual. Tennessee Tornado makes we wish Arrow was still around. Seriously, TT in the back car is insane. Thunderhead was good but could definitely use a ton of track work. The park was pretty crowded on Monday, but Sunday was dead so we got plenty of rides on everything. Something I don't hear mentioned a lot is how good the food is here. Yes there's the cinnamon bread, but all the rest of the food is great too! We had Turkey Legs, Pot Roast, and Chicken salad and it was all fantastic. Overall it was a great visit and we can't wait to return once LR is running consistently.

Since a small storm that passed through about 2 hours ago LR has not resumed testing... even though all other rides are running. Really is a shame. I thought it might run today. More time to eat cinnamon bread

A gentleman (probably from maintenance) by the entrance said is has to run 50-100 times without problem. He inferred it was another recalled part

^ This is just me being maybe a bit too optimistic but maybe they have the operators in uniform today just in case it does open? Like I said I'm probably being too optimistic but one could hope.

At the park now... LR is not operating but there's a lot of mechanics walking around near and in the station area... the ride is also making a lot of random noises. Don't know if said noises mean anything but they seem to be a good sign to me.

Trying my luck with LR tomorrow... I know it's not likely but still beyond excited to visit the rest of this awesome park.

What would you for a person that's going the days the 25th-27th and doing the next day free deal? Take a guess and what you think my chances would be lol I'd guess like 20% for you since you still have more than a week... for me who is going tomorrow and Monday... I'd say a big old goose egg. It doesn't matter though... more time to eat Cinnamon Bread

Slightly different message on Dollywood's website... In my mind this pretty much guarantees that it won't be open for anybody visiting in the next few days.

^ Damn. That was a great run down! Even though I'm not planning a trip to the park anytime soon, there was a lot of really good info there... I'm curious though... is that Italian place still there?

^ I'm hoping with everything in me that it operates on Sunday and Monday just long enough for me to get a ride .... but if it doesn't, I will still enjoy the park and Cinnamon Bread (especially the cinnamon bread ) all the same.
