  1. Lookin Great! Sorry your experience wasn't quite what you wanted, but the park certainly does look nice. Living those aerial shots.
  2. My favorite coasters as of 2013: 1. Intimidator 305 2. El Toro 3. Apollo's Chariot
  3. I noticed the restraints tightening on Wild Eagle as well. Hopefully they'll be able to fix that problem also. With that bug worked out, it will make it a more enjoyable ride!
  4. That actually could be a possibility.... Well of course it is! The last one they got was NTG and technically that wasn't even a new coaster, it was just an upgrade. And they removed boomerang, so they need a texas sized thrill coaster! Bets anyone? I think it will be a wing coaster. I know that thats kind of stereotypical expected, but I truly think that that is the most likely possibility and that its going to happen.
  5. Kids area this year, new coaster next year!
  6. Did you read the post above yours? It said that it will be open in summer. The winter olympics are in February. Will it be open in time for the olympics?
  7. I was about to post that as the randomest thing that has happened to me! That happened to be exactly. I was on the first row and a couple of deer were hanging out near an airtime hill. Really weird!
  8. I have to agree until I see a different investment philosophy towards VF by Cedar Fair. VF just does not have the attendance for a $25 million dollar attraction like Banshee. (Do you know if that $25 million included removal/disposal of SOB?). Brian Witherow (Cedar Fair's CFO) presented at the recent UBS Global Media & Communications Conference in 2013 and said, "...the chain sees three parks as having room for significant growth, Carowinds, Valleyfair, and California's Great America..." If he means it maybe they would spend more than $15 million but I still doubt it unfortunately. I would've thought that he would've said Michigan's Adventure before Carowinds. That park needs more done than Carowinds...though I'm sure that once they get their Giga then MiA will take its place.
  9. I wish flying coasters were more popular and were built as often as B&M inverts, as I think that these are better. funner.
  10. Yeah, you probably are right. So lets just say that my theory is right, and the worlds tallest invert is coming to a Cedar Fair park. Which one? Who knows, it might not happen for a while, or maybe even at all. But think about it. Banshee was close enough that it easily could've broken the height record as well. All they needed was a few more feet!
  11. good for them. Now lets get the rest of the Cedar Fair parks to do the same...and while we're at it, lets get a christmas event going at every park!
  12. cool video, but I think the GP might get confused when they show the goliath at New England. They might look at the picture and wonder if that coaster is coming to the park also. But other than that, construction looks great! RMC for the win
  13. It doesn't have to be outragously tall, it only has to be 196 feet or higher to get the record. Put it at least 200 and you're good. Wild Thing is 207, so It would work.
  14. I thought Wild Eagle was ok, however I do think that it has way too much hype. Leviathan or Skyrush should've won best new ride of 2012. But anyway, I would much rather preffer near miss elements as well as that drop under the lift. But thats just me, but I still like wing coasters, but would much prefer a flying coaster and wish that more parks had them!
  15. thats cool. New designs are always fun. I personally want to see a launched flying coaster! Cuz flying coasters rock, and launched coasters rock! I'd be cool! It could launch straight into a pretzel loop! C'mon B&M! Lets make this happen!!!
  16. Heres my thoughts on a future coaster: I think that Cedar Fair didn't make Banshee the tallest invert in the world for a reason. I think that they plan on sending the tallest(not the longest) to another park. And valleyfair sounds like a good choice, as they are in need of a big one, and need a B&M badly! But if it doesn't go to VF, i'm interested in seeing who it could go to. Just my thoughts. But it certainly makes sense!
  17. I know that the anaconda repaint is going to be the same color scheme as before, which sucks. Hopefully they will add the old water spouts that shot out when the train went under water. As for volcano, I don't know how construction is coming, but they're just reconfiguring the queue line. Probably not too much going on...
  18. So is park actually open yet? Or will it be open in time for the olympics?
  19. They just got new slides and a new area! lets focus on the park park section, not the water park.
  20. Glad that you had a good time at Fuji-Q! I had heard a lot of not-so-great things about the park, so I'm glad to hear that it is in fact possible to have a good time at this park. Well one things for sure, the coasters look like a lot of fun, so if I ever go out to Japan, I'll make sure to pay it a visit!
  21. That would be nice...but will it happen? Maybe, but if it does, the expansion probably won't happen for a while...
  22. Yeah I'm not sure we'll see a dueling coaster with different elements. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only dueling coaster that Six Flags has installed that features different ride experiences was Batman & Robin: The Chiller. And even then, the most distinct difference was the first part of the ride. The 2nd half was the same. But I think you are right about MAgic Mountain wanting to install their 20th coaster fast...but honestly is it weird to say to lay off the coasters for a bit(unless its the colossus conversion) and install some good thrilling flat rides!!! (S&S Screamin' Swing please)
  23. Those are some great photos! glad to see the construction coming along-hopefully we'll see some more track up soon!
  24. If a new coaster is coming to this park in the coming years, the earliest it will be will be 2016. I can think of a bunch of other Six Flags parks that should receive a new coaster first. (cough cough the great escape)
  25. I hope they're talking about meat when they say 'carving stations' Of course, they could be refrencing the Slaughter House maze attraction for Halloween Haunt... THATS IT! Its all a trap! They're gonna kill us all! We ARE the MEAT!
