^Agree, I went several times in the last couple of years it was opened and I always had a good time but it wasn't nearly as amazing as some people made it out to be. There was always a weird vibe between the cast member guests who were obviously regulars to the place and very obsessive about the experience, and the average tourists who just stumbled in on their vacation and really had no idea what was going on.

If Colorado can run out a giant Buffalo before every game then I see no reason why a Dolphin can't reside in a modestly sized pool in the end zone . But yeah I get it, animal groups these days would never let them get away with it. What they should really do is build an awesome gigantic animatronic dolphin statue display thingy in the end zone the erupts after successful scoring plays. Something like that would be a visual focal point for the stadium and be really unique to that city, oh wait.......... So free agency is under way and several fairly significant move have been made but I guess the biggest has been Welker to the Broncos. I really don't think that move will slow the Patriots progress that much, Amendola should fit in just fine and I would imagine the Pats will be Superbowl contenders once again. Besides, this just means more receptions for Gronk and Hernandez, which I kind of think is where that team is going offensively anyways. More balanced formations with two tight ends and maybe and more big plays down the field with whoever they pick up in free agency/draft. I got a feeling they aint done making moves, but we'll see. -
I remember seeing some plans for this project on a different site (or maybe previously in this thread) that showed a new off-ramp from I-4 leading directly into the new parking lot for this facility. I hope that is part of the plan because my only complaint about Downtown Disney currently is that during busy times traffic getting in and out of there can be a real pain, especially around the Holidays.

Yep, which is why Miami is already urgently pushing for upgrades to Joe Robbie Stadium.... Those picture look nice and all, but they really need to bring back Snowflake the Dolphin in the end zone...... -
I saw Tenacious D this past weekend at House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, and it was awesome.

I had some similar injuries (not as severe) in college from football and I discussed this very thing with my doctor. He didn't have a real definitive opinion on the matter one way or the other but I think that once your rehab is complete and you feel comfortable doing normal activities riding most coasters shouldn't be an issue. I would probably still avoid something that is notoriously rough or brutal (why waste you time with those coasters anyways) but most decently smooth rides have felt fine to me ever since. I had a torn disc fragment that was basically partially severed piece of a disc that was kind of floating around and causing me a lot of pain on my sciatic nerve. My legs would randomly go numb when I sat for too long and stuff like that but after a couple of epidural shots the piece dissolved and I haven't had any issues ever since. You injury is different than mine so listen to the advice of your doctor but if you can sit and exercise and drive a car and do normal everyday things comfortably without pain then I would say riding 90% of coasters in this world shouldn't be an issue. Also, a brace may help but it might not. A brace helps keep your muscles stabilized when your in an awkward or uncomfortable position and while riding a coaster your going to be fairly "still" and confided to a natural sitting position where a brace wouldn't do a whole lot of good. The brace might help walking around the park more than riding an actual coaster.

^Jeeze! I filled up in Myrtle Beach this weekend for $3.46, which I thought was cheap but compared to $4.81 it's a steal! -

^Really? That stadium isn't that old and really not all that bad? This is weird, are they going to tare down the Georgia Dome, or keep it for other events (the final four is there this year). -

I had a feeling that the Avocado egg thing would look better then it would taste, but in those pictures you took it still looks pretty delicious! I'll have to try the scotch eggs sometime, I'm not a huge fan of hard boiled eggs but this looks like an interesting take on them. -
Yeah, I didn't love Cheetah Hunt but it was a fun ride. I get why it ranks lower on an predominately enthusiast poll like this. I always find it interesting that Raptor at Cedar Point ranks so low compared to other larger B&M inverts. I personally prefer it to Dragons, Alpengeist, Afterburn, Batman, just about everything in America except maybe Montu. In fact Monster at Walyator Park, which is a clone of Raptor, ranks 20 spots higher which is interesting. Even though I haven't ridden everything on the list, it's hard for me to really distinguish between everything between spots 20-80 or so. For example Is Diamondback at 26 that much better then Raging Bull at 57 or Silver Star at 76? When it gets outside the top 20-25 for me it's everything is pretty similar. The only coaster that seems really out of place to me is Kumba at 33, I still think that is a top 10 coaster, maybe top 20 for this list.

Agree, I wish Dollywood would find a way to install a keyhole element somehow or another on Wild Eagle. -
Top Roller Coaster Myths & Rumors!
Hilltopper39 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've heard several rumors that most launch coasters (hydraulic cable launches, LIM launches, LSM launches) can be launched at a speed much faster then what they normally operate at. For example I remember hearing that Dragster could really launch at like 130-140 mph if they wanted it to, and I also recall people saying after Superman re-opened at Magic Mountain that it was launching at a faster speed and climbing higher up the tower. -
Top Roller Coaster Myths & Rumors!

A rumor I used to hear fairly regularly (that I never believed) was that Dueling Dragon's Challenge was originally deigned for Disney and was supposed to have opened with the Beastly Kingdom section in Animal Kingdom. Don't really know how this could ever be tested or verified but it was a rumor I've heard more than once. -

This is completely unrelated to the Scotch Egg (yet still related to eggs in general) , and has nothing to do with England vs Canada (my vote is for England ), but I've been dying to try this recipe for a while it looks amazing.......... I guess you basically just take an Avocado, pop out the pit, pour in an egg, top with some bacon and bake it till it's done. Looks simple but insanely delicious. -
I said the same thing just last week, I like them but I am kind of getting tired of them at this point. I saw MUSE this past Saturday in Tampa and they put on an incredible show. Everything about it was fantastic, the stage set up and visuals were out of this world, great set lists with some old stuff and a few songs they don't normally play live (played New Born and United States of Eurasia for the first time this tour I think), and they sounded great. All in all an awesome show, can't wait to see them again. Next up, Tenacious D in 2 week, I know they're kind of silly but I've always been a big fan so it should be a fun show.
