  1. Back row, outside left for me on Batman at SFGAm. You might want to try outside right, though, purely because Le Vampire is a mirrored clone of the original.
  2. That's what I like to hear. Congratulations on the position and thanks for taking the time to interview them.
  3. Gaah, my bloody retainer broke so I'll have to miss opening day. I should be heading down next Wednesday, though, so I'll ride it then. ---------- The thing I'm most interested in is how the airtime hill and first drop compare to Outlaw Run. I fully expect the stall to be a completely different element than the 153, but Outlaw had a lot of airtime in very short bursts, but this looks to have fewer individual moments of airtime but they're longer in duration. Outlaw Run's first drop literally took my breath away the first time I rode it and continued to amaze me as I rode it, but I still give a slight edge to Raging Bull for best first drop. We'll see if this gives it a run for its money. I don't expect it to be better than Outlaw but I wouldn't be surprised if this places above X-Flight. (It's developed a 3rd-year B&M rattle in the middle of the train, you get it through the turn after the second zero-g all through the inline.)
  4. I saw it in the Knoebels thread and instantly fell in love with it.
  5. Assuming you meant "movies" Richie Rich
  6. Granted, but the park stops offering them due to low sales. I wish the GP were replaced by enthusiasts who all liked different coasters and didn't clog up queues too badly.
  7. Grand Exposition Coaster - Silver Dollar City
  8. I was there on Wednesday the 4th and Viper in the rain drove it to my number two spot overall. It's very underrated to begin with and the faster ride and raindrops in your face made it so much better. I might be able to go to the opening, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll see if I can get somebody to drive me and a friend and if I can go, hopefully I'll see some of you there. If not, I hope you all have fun.
  9. ^Keep in mind that Mean Streak's layout is very similar to the original Texas Giant in that it's essentially one giant, undulating helix. If RMC was to throw a few more extreme elements into Meaner Streak, they could have something even more successful than NTG on their hands. To be fair, I don't think it'll happen, at most topper track. Would I love to see RMC get their hands on it after riding Outlaw Run and knowing what they're capable of? Of course, but I just don't think it's likely.
  10. I'll be busy Thursday and Friday and the weekend will be an absolute nightmare but I'll try to get there next Wednesday to finally ride it. It looks absolutely phenomenal and the reviews have told us nothing less.
  11. I absolutely adore carousel organs, I wish I could have been there even for that. They always have one at GroveFest where I live and since it's a travelling one, the condition isn't great, but it still makes great music.
  12. How about "Iron Sky Whirl"? Ok .. maybe not.. Yeah... wouldn't the old Sky Whirl have been the Iron Sky Whirl?
  13. ^That's pretty much it. Another facet of coaster design that is included is the limitations of what the track and trains can do, so RC (or any other designer) has to work within those boundaries. For some perspective, it's a bit like when somebody says "No way in hell will that ever happen" to your B&M hyper coaster with five inversions that you threw together in NL.
  14. Welp, maybe we should take Buccaneer Battle's "indefinite closure" with a grain of salt...
  15. Chance - Is it possible to incorporate inversions or other more extreme elements into your Hyper Lite/Hyper GT-X concept?
  16. Granted, but they are all eventually replaced with Dragon Wagons and GoGators due to maintenance costs. I wish SFGAm would put a Mack Launch coaster in Pictorium's spot.
  17. I honestly think that if BB does get removed, then a SkyScreamer will take its place. I honestly can't see them passing up on the name "Great American SkyScreamer" and it does match County Fair (and the available space) better than Mardi Gras. That leaves Ragin Cajun's spot as a pretty good candidate for something like a Screamin' Swing in the future.
  18. Day trips to Indiana Beach and Santa's Village AZoosment Park are confirmed. I also will be doing my usual regular visits to SFGAm.
  19. To be fair, County Fair has always been the most generically themed area of the park. You have a pirate themed ride, two Americana themed rides, an air force themed ride, and soon a Roman themed ride all in the same area. (The rides being Buccaneer Battle, American Eagle and Revolution, X-Flight, and Goliath respectively.)
  20. Just to feed speculation here, Buccaneer Battle (the Mack Splash Battle that took the place of Déjà Vu) is officially listed as "closed for the season." Make of that what you will.
  21. As someone who rides Eagle multiple times a month I can tell you that the only places it really needs topper track are in the final helices. I mean you might want to put some in the "Giant Helix o' WTF Were They Thinking To Put This on a Racing Coaster," but it's kind of funny to see the trains shaking and bouncing their way around it before they just go balls out on the return run.
  22. I rode one of these Wisdom double-helix coasters in Florida. Decent ride but those drive tires are killers. Good thing the ride is "now featuring banked lift hill!" So I'll be heading down to IB with a friend for a day trip on a weekend sometime in June or July. I'm coming from Chicago, so what time should we get there and in what order should we attack the park? I wanna ride everything with possible time for rerides on Cornball.
