Granted, but you lose the game right before you're about to win. I wish for an RMC woodie in my backyard. -
Both have indoor coasters. Arnolds Park and Six Flags America.

Michigan's Adventure (MiA) Discussion Thread
VF15 replied to MagnumForce's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks everyone for shedding some light on the "No Haunt" situation. Despite what has been said, I still think they could maybe at least have weekend operation until the of September. Same thing goes for the beginning of the season, as they could probably open a week or two earlier. -

Granted, but it freezes up and crashes all the time. I wish for graduation to come faster. -

Granted, but you have five tests to study for instead. I wish for tomorrow's classes to be cancelled (-40 degree windchill). -

Granted, but everyone will think it tastes horrible. I wish for Valleyfair to have a dome built around it so it can stay open year-round. -
Michigan's Adventure (MiA) Discussion Thread
VF15 replied to MagnumForce's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just wondering, is there a specific reason why Michigan's Adventure does not have a Halloween Haunt event? I was just looking at the Muskegon weather averages for September and October, and the temperatures are warm enough to keep the rides open most all of time, so I feel like closing the weekend after Labor Day is a waste of an opportunity. Plus, Valleyfair experiences temperatures similar to MiA and they still have a Haunt. Or, is there another big Halloween event in the area that would make it hard for Michigan's Adventure to compete? Sorry if this post sounds stupid, but I'd just like to know if there's a reason because I can't imagine living in a place with a nine-month offseason. -

Coasters you have been on that are gone now

Technically, I haven't ridden any coasters that are actually demolished, but I did ride Ozark Wildcat at Celebration City (SBNO) quite a while ago. It was a very fun woodie, and there was no line the day I was there, so I rode 7 or 8 times in a row . I'd call Ozark Wildcat my fourth favorite woodie and my second favorite GCI. I hope it can eventually find new life at another park. -

...when you hear about a severe weather event (hurricane, tornado, T-storm, etc.) that took place near a park, your first thought is "I hope [name of park] is okay". -

^ Renegade did improve a lot last season due to some offseason retracking and maintenance. In 2013, I could only ride it one or two times before getting a small headache, but last year I was able to ride it many more times in a row. I think it's maintenance that can make some woodies run better than others, and since BGT has doesn't have the offseason that other parks have, they might not have as much time to maintain Gwazi, but that's just a guess and there are probably some other reasons it is brutally rough. -
Just got done with shoveling and blowing a bit of snow. It's -6 degrees with a wind chill of -31. Ugh.

Found this news article saying that Carowinds' new slingshot may cause riders to lose consciousness. I think it's a pointless article because can't pretty much any ride render you unconscious given certain circumstances? -

^ Yes, that cover is probably temporary because there is no cover in the concept art. Maybe it's there to protect the concrete they just poured from the weather, but that's just a guess. -

Granted, but when school does eventually start, you start going seven days a week. I wish for Gwazi to get RMC'd. -

...when staying at a hotel, you always visit the brochure rack and pick up all of the theme park brochures.
