  1. I don't understand why this coaster hasn't been getting more attention because it just looks incredible. It looks to me like this could be the new best coaster from RMC, at least until Wildfire opens.
  2. Dark Ride
  3. Because they want to turn all of California's tall thrilling rides into kiddie rides. Why does Valleyfair trim their coasters to death?
  4. As long as I'm doing a decent variety of things, I don't find Valleyfair to be boring, even though plenty of other enthusiasts probably would, and while I do enjoy the park's current ride lineup, a new coaster within the next few years would be much appreciated. It hasn't been my home park for that long, so that might be why I'm not bored with it (yet). Also, Valleyfair is only open half of the year, so I really have to appreciate and take advantage of that half that it is open.
  5. The slide parts have arrived! From VF's Facebook page.
  6. In your dreams. Why won't Busch Gardens Williamsburg announce their new coaster?
  7. Just a thought, I think that Steel Venom should eventually switch to not counting down the launch and do a fake-out instead. That's what Vertical Velocity at Six Flags Great America does, and it makes the launch a lot more exciting when you don't know when it's coming. Or, is there a VF park policy that would prevent that?
  8. Saw this on Screamscape and thought it was interesting to say the least...
  9. I personally would rather see a few other coaster types before an invert like a Chance Hyper GT-X or a really awesome Intamin, but I just think an invert is the most logical option because it is just what the park needs: a modern steel inverting coaster that will bring in the crowds, and it would probably be the best or 2nd best coaster in the park (don't know if it would beat Renegade).
  10. Corkscrew - Cedar Point -Opened in 1976. -First coaster to feature three inversions. -Manufactured by Arrow Dynamics. -Designed by Ron Toomer. Next: New Texas Giant - Six Flags Over Texas
  11. If it is an invert, I think it could possibly be called Falcon: Bird of Prey because that was supposed to be the name of a B&M invert that would have come to VF in 2002 or 2003 and be in the spot where the Dinos are now, but was cancelled for some reason. Falcon would be a cool name, but I agree with the above post, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.
  12. Granted, but you no longer have a computer. I wish for Spring to come early this year.
  13. Why is Opening Day on Sunday at CW? Is Sunday a more significant day than Saturday in Canada, or is there some other reason? Sorry if I sound dumb.
  14. Because they did. Why is Cedar Point probably getting a Dive Coaster?
  15. Just wondering, do you think that California's Great America should eventually become a year-round park one of these days? Since Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has gone year-round, you'd think that CGA might want to follow suit with them to be competitive. Or, is there a specific reason why it couldn't happen? Does Santa Clara happen to be colder than Vallejo in winter, or does the park not have the attendance to justify year-round operation?
  16. ^ So, you're saying something like this could happen? If so, that would probably be the best way to put in a new coaster without taking out another one.
  17. ...when a train is loading, you sit down, buckle your seatbelt, and lower the restraint first before everyone else, and when the train returns to the station, you're the first to get unbuckled and get out.
  18. ...that they had suggested it. After a while, a bunch of coaster enthusiasts decided to tear down the dark ride and replace it with a roller coaster. The coaster they built was a...
  19. ^ I think the Dive Coaster probably is going to Cedar Point, but I don't understand it either. The lack of a solid wooden coaster seems to be the one big chink in Cedar Point's armor, but they have not done anything to change that for some reason.
  20. Granted, but you'll be stuck on the lift hill for five hours before you ride. I wish I lived near Cedar Point.
  21. Last month. When was the last time you watched a coaster POV?
  22. Just wondering, since the rumors of a Dive Coaster at Cedar Point have spread, do you think it's possible that Valleyfair could get one of their own eventually? I personally hope we don't get one because Cedar Fair tends to go on the cheap for new coasters at Valleyfair, and if we did get a Dive Coaster, I'm afraid it would be a very short ride like Oblivion or Krake (both of those coasters are less than 20 seconds long from drop to brake run). If it was to be a longer Dive Coaster like Sheikra or Griffon, then I'd be okay with a Dive Coaster, but considering Cedar Fair's past investment philosophy with VF, I don't know if a ride like that would be possible. On the bright side, the GP would go nuts over a Dive Coaster, and it would be a good choice for a coaster that interacts with the park entrance. They made a little more waterpark progress today, but I noticed they covered up the restrooms near the Snoopy/Red Baron ride. Don't know what that means.
  23. Granted, but they're all just kiddie rides. I wish for Intamin to make more coasters in the U.S.
