Unfortunately, the plans I had for a trip to Vegas in March fell through, so I guess I'll just have to wait until Valleyfair opens in May.

Going to be pretty cold through the weekend, then a heat wave comes next week .

My longest hiatus was the 2013-2014 offseason, 6.5 months from late October to mid-May. If you don't count the offseason, I was on a two-month coaster hiatus this past season from mid-August to mid-October due to college.

Went to the movie theater today and the movie started almost an hour late because of a corrupted file . At least I got a free ticket for my next visit.

Definitely Mean Streak. I have never seen a coaster besides MS have such a meandering and boring layout.

A new thrilling flat ride like a Delirium/Maxair clone or Waterpark Expansion Phase 2 seem like decent possibilities. It's not impossible, but I'm not expecting a new coaster for next year. I heard a rumor that will Excalibur will be staying through at least 2017, but don't quote me on that.

Mean Streak is actually one of the smoother wooden coasters I've ridden, however I'm not a fan of it because the ride itself is a complete snoozefest (it's forceless except for one airtime pop). I vote for it to either get RMC'd or torn down and replaced by a GCI or an RMC from scratch.

I personally think the current entrance could use a revamp. Even though the entrance plaza has some nice charm to it, it is getting a bit outdated. However, I don't think we necessarily need a new front gate coaster because Wild Thing comes close enough.

We're considering taking a Carowinds-Dollywood trip this May. If we were to go, we'd be at Carowinds on the 19th and 20th (Thursday and Friday). How busy would the park be on those days? Any others tips/advice for visiting the park?
