I actually wouldn't mind getting a Boomerang either as long as it's smooth. The two I've ridden (the ones at Carowinds and Worlds of Fun) were both decently fun rides.

Here's a pic of the waterpark markings I mentioned earlier. Also, while riding Steel Venom today, the holding brake was turned off. Hopefully it's only temporary.

Don't know if it means anything regarding future expansion, but I noticed some white markings on the ground in the waterpark near Raging Rapids' exit today.

Had a great time at Adventureland today thanks to low crowds, nice weather, friendly employees, and fun rides. Monster was an awesome ride that exceeded my expectations. It has a great first drop, good forces, nice airtime & laterals, and some crazy hangtime. It'll probably crack my top 25 and it's definitely a fantastic addition to the park. Also, props to the Monster crew for their fast dispatch times, I saw them stack only two or three times the entire day.

If we ever get a Frisbee, I bet it would likely be a Mondial model. Kings Dominion added theirs last year and it sounds like it has gone over well.

Mamba at Worlds of Fun always comes to a hard stop on the brake run, not very comfortable on the neck.

I'll be visiting Adventureland on Tuesday for the first time since the addition of Monster. How busy should I expect the park to be?

I hope they keep Raging Rapids (since it's a fun and unique attraction) as well as the lazy river (since it's a staple of waterparks), but besides those I don't really care what happens to that side of the waterpark.

Can confirm that there is some construction machinery in the employee lot, though it could be for anything at this point (not necessarily for a new ride) so I wouldn't get too excited yet. Also noticed some smaller equipment in the land between the dorms and the main parking lot but they usually move dirt around there every year or so for some reason.

^ I can confirm that there is a pink flag next to the employee access road, though it's closer to Wild Thing than Excalibur.

^ Aside from the orange and pink flags on a few Excalibur supports mentioned a few weeks ago, not much of anything going on back there from what I can see.

Renegade at Valleyfair this morning.

I was working Xtreme Swing tonight and we had to stay 40 minutes after closing time making sure everyone got to ride, that's how busy it was.

I'm at Valleyfair pretty much every day for work so my next non-VF park will likely be Adventureland early next month.

A little under two months ago, saw a home baseball game at my college. When was the last time you made a long-distance trip to ride a coaster but it ended up being closed?

On my way out of the park after work today, I noticed that the sword from the Excalibur sign is missing. Hmm...

I'm planning on taking a trip down to Great America during the third week of June. Is June any better crowd-wise than July or August at this park. Last two times I went here were in late July and mid-August on weekdays and the park was packed (hour-long wait times for all the major coasters). If crowds aren't any better, I'll likely get a platinum Flash Pass.

I'm currently in my second season as a ride operator at Valleyfair. My primary rides are Wild Thing and Xtreme Swing, though I've also worked Mad Mouse and Renegade. While my job sometimes entails long hours in the hot sun, I mostly enjoy it since I get to be at an amusement park every day.
