COASTER FREAK 11

I was in th front of that train. The bird was sitting inbetween the brake fins at the end. Our bird more or less exploded into a plume of feathers. You know I have never heard of birds on any other intamin coasters, I wonder why Stealth has such a deadly record!

Matterhorn at Disneyland

Well I am glad that they are at least replacing the wood that they took out. Which means that they dont expect it have another breakdown for a while, but no one can know that for sure. Every body get your last rides on BFR, its days are numbered!

After all the years that I have been going to knotts, I fanally went on the Mystery Lodge the other day. It was cool, but really it takes up a lot of space. If they take out BFR and dont replace it for a while, the area will instantly die! Mystery lodge and the Wilderness Scrambler are not going to bring anybody to that part of the park. Sorry wes, I really do like that area.

I thought that was implied There were a lot of trash cans out today.

It is very nice back there, I hope that what ever goes back there keeps the trees and the atmosphere the same.

I took some pics of the train that was in Camp Snoopy. Track is all gone^ Rotted wood, they may just be taking this time to do major rehab on the ride^ I hope they put that rock back^ Lore of the Vampire is still up there. It doesnt look like they have even touched it.^

So I went to knotts...totally crowded! Any way, Big foot didnt open till 12, I had to leave at 12. But I decided to wait anyway. So I roamed around the park and got in line for it at like 11:50. Waited till 12, didnt open. Waited till 12:15 didnt open. I had to leave. But I have seen what they are doing back there already. Imagine a 4X4 piece of wood sticking out of a cement floor cut at a 45* angle. Now imagine a lot of them and a large pile of wood. What has already been is not what you would do if you wanted to save it. I also asked some on my contacts at the park about the ride. They all said that the next time that Big Foot has a major break down that it will not be fixed. It will be removed. But I was not told if they were ust going to replace it with another rapids ride or remove it totally. Long line

If those are what the trains are going to look like, I am glad that they keep the back-to-back seat design. But the whole train part of it will force them to make the track layout different than the normal Mack spinners. Hope they come up with a cool idea for the layout.

^Sorry, it is gutted. I just want to know what they are planning for it. But I agree that this new coaster will be cool

I am surprised that they are adding another coaster to the park after they just added Silver Bullet. And Kingdom of the Dinosaurs is still sitting there. They need to redo that ride instead of just letting it rot away. They do not have that many dark rides to begin with, you think that they would invest into that first. Either way, I am glad that stupid paddle boat ride is gone.

When parks change for the Holidays it changes the atmosphere within the park, thereby changing the experience that you can have there. It attracts people back and makes the park more money to build more rides in a season that attendance is normally down. Also when you go to a park quite often, a change-up is refreshing.

Yep...those are bigger. So I know that the "Wing Walker" trains can tilt the riders toward the track, dose anyone know if this one will do that or not?

ah, the funny things people do. Naming a coaster after the god of wine, orgies and, fun, you gota love it.

One of the best coasters I have ridden in the rain was Thunder Coaster at TusenFryd in Norway.

I am as obsessed with Halloween as I am with coasters. I build a haunted maze in my backyard every year, comparable to what Knotts Berry Farm dose, if you have ever been there. I will take some pics and post them. It is almost done, mainly just electrical left.
