  1. If you really wanna get technical, one could argue Fury's the tallest coaster without a launch, or in other words, the world's tallest (traditional) coaster. That's indeed the best way to describe Fury. That IGN video was actually pretty well-made, I mean at least the guy got the subtility of that marketing catch-phrase, and even talked about strata's. But yeah, the comment section is full of you usual GPness...
  2. They are using flywheels, as seen in the lastest Hard Hat Chronicles:
  3. Nope, the manufacturer is not German, yet still european.
  4. It's not a Maurer Söhne, and it's not Arctic Blast either. The layout is really the one I drew (well, the general shape, don't quote me on the shaping) - if it had a double helix, I'd drew a double helix. A clue: The lift is the straight line right after the station (at the top).
  5. It's a straight top view. No inversions.
  6. They could have put another seat in between those two! Edit : Wait, nevermind, I just realized it was the same configuration as the 2nd gen B&M hypers, with the front row closer apart. The theming looks excellent, by the way.
  7. The key-word was large actually. RMC does make ejector, but only pops. It's either a flat-to-down, up-to-flat, double-down, double-up, crest.... But never a full Intamin-esque airtime hill, like the first three on El Toro.
  8. The POV even ended on 9GagTV! That offride video is amazing, thanks TheDark8.
  9. Yep, european manufacturer. Not one that sold the most coasters, but you definitely heard of it.
  10. Honestly, to me "World's tallest and fastest Gigacoaster" sounds like the world tallest/fastest coaster, period. For someone who's not a die-hard enthusiast, Gigacoaster seems to refer to something along the lines of "a very big coaster", not "a coaster between 90m and 120m"... I can see why they are confused.
  11. I'm still waiting for the day RMC will make larges, ejector-filled airtime hills, like only Intamin makes yet. But other than that, wow, this is looking crazy, the blue side is kind of a warm-up, and then the green side is like there's no tomorrow.
  12. ^ Two posts above yours. Intamin it is!
  13. There are three block brakes on the tower. If you need help visualizing the layout, check on the older rendering (same layout until the last part ou of the tower).
  14. ^ Intamin certainly uses some more conventional flywheels. (Or, for instance, the "flywheel" for the first launch of Juvelen is the second one, and vice-versa). I thought only the Maurer one and Wicked use brakes as an generator. -- Third pic, look in the trench. That screams Intamin to me!
  15. Wow, the secret special element is a jump from track-to-track, see the latest photo! JK. I'm really looking forward to see this thing is action.
  16. Yeah I was talking as an improvement versus a regular design. Those lap-bars stay level with that said parallelepiped shape.
  17. Sad to hear man. And I'm not talking about coasters! About Wicked's trains (and then Impulse, so), is the parallelepiped lap-bar an improvement in design?
  18. ^ Nothing changed except that final section. I mean, maybe it's taller, more elevated or I don't know, but all the elements on the tower are the same and in the same order. Which is kinda a relief for me, because I just love this layout so much!
  19. Sorry for the double-post, but it's time for a clue. It's a coaster located in Asia, but not in India, China nor Japan (in order for you to avoid having looking through all the jet coasters! It's not one.). The picture again:
  20. Does anyone have infos about the infamous multi-million dollars room that was planned but never build? I guess it's a pitch black section in the ride nowaday, but I'm not sure where.
  21. What a relief! In the ride video, the double down had a weird bump-inducing straight section... Looks way cooler with a twist!
  22. Does someone have Fraps ready to capture the very first run? I have to go and I'm sure by Murphy's law that it will happen then.
  23. They are moving the camera toward the drop and first overbank.
