  1. let's see, I've been on a few rides where they broke down, but I never had to be EVAC. One of them happend at SFNE on thunderbolt, Don (Jeezus Juice) and I were on the train and it dispatched and it started going up the lift but slowed down, came to a hault and we liked rolled back a bit but stopped by the anti-rollback. We waited 10-15 minutes for a ride mechanic to come by and take someones camera, then the ride was resumed. At SFGAdv I was riding Kingda Ka with someone I met up with at the park, and our train did launch perfectly, no flaws, but when we came into the final segment of the brake run where the brake fins are retractable, they didn't retract. So we came to a crawl all the way to the switch track where we stopped and waited. Then the train was moved into the station and we were able to get out. I think with this one I actually Jinxed it for the people that were waiting behind us, we got to talking and I was joking around that "oh, it's going to break before you guys get on" and just so happend it did.
  2. The supermarkets down in Florida have weird names...Publix....sounds like Pubix to me. Anyway, great TR Eric.
  3. So my friends and I just got back from the Better Than Ezra concert at UMO (University of Maine - Orono) and I gotta say, that was a great concert. The best part was when the lead singer asked for someone to come up on stage and started looking around the audience, so the 6 of us started screaming and pointing at our friend katie and they picked her. So she got to go up stage and hit a cowbell during one of their songs. At the end she got to keep the drum stick and after the entire concert we went around back to their bus and met them in person and got autographs and pictures. First time I met a famous band in person.
  4. "Hello, 911? Yeah, it's quagmire again, yeah, it's in a window this time"
  5. ^ I just got my t-shirt and it's regular thickness as a regular T-Shirt. Anyway, my t-shirt just came in today and thankfully before the CF/TPR meet up at Knoebels. Much thanks to Robb sending mine via priority so I can wear both T-shirts at Knoebels & SFGAdv.
  6. "Your Mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!" "OOOOOO" "No, ughhhhhh, from the back of the throat" "No, "oooooo" as in surprise and alarment" "oh, you mean "AHHH!"" "Yes, that's it, AHHHHHHH!"
  7. My parents don't care if I visit parks since I'm using my own money and not theirs. One great example, when we went to Wisconsin, I paid for myself at Camp Snoopy and Mount Olympus and my parents didn't mind the side-trips. Plus they enjoyed themselves. As for my friends, they think I'm a bit crazy.
  8. LOL Token Yankee Guy - gay nuke keynote
  9. My teacher for Digital Imaging for the Web knew about No Limits. He showed the class a few of the coasters on the demo. The Crystal Beach Cyclone and Kumba.
  10. Here's my desktop on the school network.
  11. ^ I think it means "Feed him your Rubbish" Also, I didn't even see that sign when I made the hungry hungry hippo comment
  12. Hmmmm, I still think they're building a queue ride. That track is just to fool everyone into believing it's a coaster . When looking at this picture, they haven't even taken out the train car. Does that mean there might still be hope for this ride? Or is it they just haven't gotten around to getting rid of it?
  13. ^ That Hungry Hungry Hippo is Hungry Hungry for you!
  14. I make really funny away messages for my AIM Screen Name...My personal favorite is the one when I'm at the commons eating food. "EATINGat theDICK" FYI: the commons is called Dickerman Dining Commons.
  15. The Dick The Dyke Butt Hut That's all I gotta say about the names of buildings on campus
  16. I just sent a package to Soren and it only costed me $13.30 and will take 4-5 days. Plus the guy at the counter was deaf, shame I didn't try sign language since I'm learning it, but I dunno how to sign "Please send to Germany" or something. So we wrote everything down back and forth
  17. ^ I don't care what anyone says, I really enjoy that song. I love singing the "it's bananas!! B-A-N-A-N-A-S"
  18. Happy birthday Derek! and bradc1979!

  20. I think the original purpose of this thread was to show that Wally no longer posts on any other boards except this one. Hence the "Theme Park Review "Always and Forever" I don't think Wallys intentions were to prove a point to anyone, just to show us that he only posts on TPR.
  21. ^ yeah, but when you get the pinwheel of death, then all hell breaks loose. Trust me, I've seen issues with a mac and I think it's harder for a mac to rebound from a crash than a PC. In my Digital Editing class we were in one of the computer labs which has brand new iMac G5's and I went on my usual computer and it was already logged in under someone, so I logged out...but nothing happend, it stopped responding. So I had to shut it off and turn it back on, and from then, it wouldn't boot up the OS. Sunshine and happiness wes, that's what makes my hot wheels run.
  22. Six Flags New England: 20 minutes away Lake Compounce: about 45 minutes away
  23. ^ I got thousands of pictures but I wouldn't know where to start. I could take some pictures of downtown Bangor possibly tomorrow.
  24. What's a Hefeweizen? and what did you guys have to eat? That looks delicious.
  25. I took some pictures while I headed to work. I really wanted to get the picture of the morning fog in the area where the stream is, so all you saw from the campus was just a line of fog, but nope, didn't happen this morning. So here's what Bangor looks like at close to 7am Farther down the highway nearing Exit 187 where I get off at. on I-95 Northbound nearing Exit 186 Driving down Broadway
