You know I was pretty upset about this announcement at first, but now I'm actually excited. If anything, Hurricane Harbor will bring in some extra attendance which hopefully will justify a new coaster in a few years. Plus it gets really hot in Georgia so I will probably cool off at the harbor during my visits.

The GP frequently complain about GASMs roughness( although they will complaon about anything) Im glad its getting some fresh wood. It needed it in my opinion. I also wish they would add a sign or something and make the entrance better looking. Imo it looks kinda bad but maybe its just me.

This is awesome! I have been wanting a 3D printer for so long and the only thing holding me back is the price(I am a jobless 16 year old) but anyways what program did you use to design this? Solidworks?

Goliath number.. 6? Looks awesome, but it looks like those top parts of the lift are hardly supported and could easily collapse under alot of pressure.(this may sound stupid)

Noooo SFOG Already has too many low capacity rides. I think they should just sell or scrap flashback. Or give it to six flags st louis for dueling boomerangs . But flashback is obviosly going somewhere soon, the question is where... Also since you mentioned a premier launcher.. Ithink it would be pretty cool if they replaced flashback with a superman ultimate flight(sfdk) clone. ( although maybe not in the exact same spot)

Anyone know if SFOG is retracting any more of the Cylcone during this offseason? Or are they done with that.

You know you're at a Six Flags park if your home park hasn't received a major roller coaster in over 10 years but others add 2 major coasters in 2 consecutive years

My backyard has no where near enough room for a coaster, so I guess I would just go with a drop tower. Probably an Intamin Gyro.

Or they could keep ninja and just put a RMC coaster beside it, and have parts of it go into the water. They could get rid of that picnic area to make room for the coaster. It could also be themed with the lickskillet section. I don't see why ninja needs to be removed. Some people like it, some don't, and if you don't like it, don't ride it. Plus it adds to our coaster count.

I completely agree about scream machine but some retracting wouldn't hurt. Those last few hills into the brakes are a little brutal sometimes

I always bring cargo shorts with pockets that can close so all my crap( wallet, phone, keys) doesn't fall out on a ride. I also put my phone in a plastic bag.

Wait so now Carowinds will have 3 red B&Ms? I wonder why they would do that. If the giga is built by B&M they could paint it red and market the most red B&M coasters in one park lol.

It's kinda hard to explain, but there's a little piece that goes in before you put the full wheel assembly onto the train. Also that dive loop looks pretty small compared to the drop, if you can't make it bigger then I recommend putting silicone spray on your track/wheels. But otherwise cool model. I would build a sick coaster but cd is always out of stock

Volcano at KD. But I also liked rock n rollercoaster at Disney World, they launch felt a lot faster because it is indoors. ( Note that I have not been on many launches coasters)

I don't know why people hate on the flying coasters. They are awesome, if done right. Plus the GP eats them up. But my favorite are the inverts for sure, followed by sit downs and hypers.

I for one am not too upset by this announcement. If six flags invests a lot of money into sfog and it pays off for them, then they will be more likely to invest more in the future, so a new coaster may not be too far off. But not every year has to be the addition of a new coaster, the park already has good coasters( although I want one with an mcbr). I for one will enjoy hurricane harbor and cooling off during the georgia heat.
