  1. ^It was still $6.99 as of last Monday.
  2. That could be an apt description for old age.
  3. ^Yes to Game Day, but I also recommend Midway Market. Good buffet for the price, something of a rarity around the park. (I'd recommend Bay Harbor's chicken carbonara, but it's more of a formal restaurant than standard park fare.)
  4. Adrenaline aside, Mantis did a number on me the first time; just because of the blood rush to the legs, I must have tripped down the exit stairs thrice.
  5. By following the usual... faking everything on the form. Why do they say a football team is the 'world champion' when they don't play anybody outside the US?
  6. Well, giving rice to small birds makes them pop, so I say.. improvise. Provided there's no searing heat to deal with... if you really could dig a hole to China, and you did, and you fell in, would you stop in the middle because of gravity?
  7. ^...The "never", of course, referring to how many times this should have happened.
  8. By placing a record player needle on the tire, then playing a groovy soundtrack at high RPM. Does a lightning rod on top of a church show a lack of faith?
  9. Victory. Is there an ethical dilemma in putting a gay man in a straitjacket?
  10. I say M awarded in court, with P&W as a courtesy within an undisclosed settlement.
  11. I'd say "unbelievable", but I've heard stories like this for a while now. "Deplorable" seems like the more obvious choice.
  12. Ahhhh... that's gotta be heartbreaking. Did Guinness manage to make it out there before the impromptu demolition?
  13. I'd like to see the potential court transcript on this one. Lamar Flatt: "Six Flags has a staggering history of lies and fallacies. Have you ever noticed that at a single Six Flags park, there are MORE than six flags flying at one time? Preposterous. The prosecution rests. ...Also, PMW."
  14. The bureaucratic nature of the English language. Would you like to be invited to the pants party?
  15. Lemon 'squash' = 'compress' = 'concentrate'. Does Captain Hook severely injure himself every time he has an itch?
  16. Wow... even K'nex coasters come with their own controversy kit. We all know if this was built in CP's parking lot, it would be the "BEST NEW RIDE OF 2008"... actually, if I were to see this in person, I'd model mini-trash cans and place them every 10 centimetres. In short, this thing is awesome.
  17. It's about $1.35/litre over here, which if I'm converting my litres right (1 gallon = 4.54 L?) means that Canadians are paying about $6.13/gallon. Wha?
  18. I did both yesterday and thought it improved the latter, if anything.
  19. #3 would win over the jury without deliberation, guaranteed.
  20. If they cloned their Bonbonland attractions, SFMM could become the sole enemy of the FCC.
  21. In addition to my Maverick comment a page back, here's how the wait played out: We got about halfway through the queue housed in the old WWL platform. Op comes on the almighty speaker and proclaims, "We are currently adding two trains to our circuit and we are not expecting a long delay." So they were added, quite quickly actually, to the main line. About 15 minutes later, he came on citing that's it's now closed not due to train problems, but weather conditions. Take that for whatever you wish.
  22. Happy 141st, you great, big frosted hat of America! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8LKeWXXX18
  23. I was there yesterday as well, and it did indeed seem as if they were running more rides in... well, drizzle, at least. Our Maverick wait went from 1.5 to two hours due to a 15-minute rain shower; that's the only weather delay I encountered. It eventually cleared up around 3:00 (a great day, actually), but I rode Maxair, WT and Blue Streak in the rain in the morning nonetheless. And Disaster Transport, but that's besides the point. Trust me, it is. Front seat, no less. FWIW, I rode Magnum in light sleet last October...
  24. I Want It All - Queen
  25. Mars, The Bringer of War - Gustov Holst (I feel so isolated with my classical taste. )
