^Yeah, you'll always get the "loose-article" public being denied as queue entertainment at those two. I was really surprised when I found I could take my camera on all the Disney rides (back in 2006); ended up getting some good stills on Everest. You know, even if the weather happens to totally suck while we're there, this still seems like it'll be one of the best days of my life.

CP's had the bins in every station (all right, the coasters at least) since at least 2007. In any case, if I get too battered by Womb Raider, I'll join you in bag lady duties.

Thanks guys. If aforementioned kids came on all the trips, they could start their own retirement fund! They didn't throw me Time Warp, I asked for it! They requested that the morning ERT coasters were all in the same area and I took into account that most of the people on our tour had never been to the park before and needed all their credits. So does it make more sense to go for ERT on the lower capacity coasters in the area or the higher capacity ones? I figured that Flight Deck is pretty close by and if our tour participants hit the SLC right when the park opens and everyone else is running to Behemoth there should be no line for that. So by just after park opening we should be able to get in Behemoth, Time Warp, Stunt Coaster, Flight Deck and be on our way to the Mouse and Boomerang by about 15 minutes after park opening. That's a pretty good plan if you ask me! --Robb That sounds great. Avoiding standing out in the sun for Time Warp et al. for an undisclosed amount of time is probably in itself worth the $35. ...Will there be mass descension upon the donut factory?

I haven't been this excited for something in ages. This rocks! Thanks again R&E for organizing all of this. ^If I were to plan my attack successfully, I'd be following you around like a sick puppy, Paul. Ironically, I wasn't into coasters in '99 on my first/last visit, but I already have Ghoster Coaster, Taxi Jam and the Fly knocked out of my credit to-do list! EDIT: Is Silver Streak a kid-required ride, or can we just whore it up on a whim?

I got someone's digital watch, grabbed my sunglasses and struck a BTTF poster pose with the open gullwing. Only about 50K from cleaning out my life savings and getting one. (It's a much more realistic dream than a Lamborghini anyway.)

Win. I'm inclined to agree about the Mummy, though the only version I've experienced is USF's... a few minor thrills here and there, but it's mostly visual. (At least the ending seems different/better from what you described USH's as.) Awesome report, Jahan... even had the standard "Your Studio And You" reference!

^My friend visited Wegz a couple of months ago... highly recommends it! I figured Monte Carlo was pretty new, as the Ontario CAA TourBook from 2007 didn't even have it listed. Looks to be a good choice; basic services and a clean room are all I need.

^Y'know, it keeps slipping my mind that there's still a full-fledged trip going on. Oy. (Who would ever visit up here on "spur-of-the-moment" anyway? ) How close would you guys be, then? Everything closes at 5 on a Canadian Sunday night anyway.

Monte Carlo Inn - Vaughn Suites, right on the corner of Highway 407 and Highway 7. Mixed reviews, though many say along the lines of "good hotel for the price". The hotel says they're two kilometres from CW, though Google Maps (and common sense) would suggest closer to six. Either way it's less than 10 minutes away, so having never been there aside, I'd recommend it. (Other hotels include Holiday Inn Express for about the same price, and the Radisson for about $30-40 extra.) I take it you haven't had the chance to book anything yet?

Hotel's booked, looks like it's a definite go. Considering the somewhat-holiday weekend, it was kinda good that we could get a close suite hotel at $120/night.

I've actually gotten wonderful service each time... considering my general skepticism of CP's food service, I eventually figured it was a regular thing instead of multiple unusual/lucky occurrences. That aside, I do wholeheartedly recommend Lighthouse Point. I stayed in Cabin 13 in 2004 for Halloweekends (hence the only reason I remember it was #13 ) with a few family friends and it was fantastic. I still remember enjoying the early fall breeze with the window open to the lake, cooking brats on the grill and watching a Michigan-Penn State game. Best hotel experience I've ever had on-site.

I can tell you construction info right now: Crap. It's easily the worst construction project I've ever driven through. (Got my full license as of Friday... "Hey, let's have you drive through Detroit and its wonderful roads!") Combine that disadvantage with the prospect of Waldameer, and you're likely better off to go the Buffalo route.
