Funny thing is I usually don't look at the calendar, let alone for earlier dates! -
An Upgraded TPR Forum Coming Soon!

Favourite part so far is last Tuesday's pooping competition to win a Toyota Echo. (Check the calendar!) Only real nitpick is the "block colors" thing referenced earlier, in regards to the current shading of the blue forum bars; though if it's not an easy fix, no big deal. -
I love how NBC cut the clip from its Hulu stream to avoid royalties. "Full episode" my ass! As an aside, earlier this week I sent in a bid for Conan on Craigslist, offering my college dorm room as a set for the new Pink Visual production, "In The Rear 3000". Didn't exactly pan out.

I've said it once, I'll say it again: It should've been sponsored by Siemens! -
^^ That thing took up most of my online time a few summers ago. I still own Bad Twin!

Monologue and Headlines were always my favourite parts of Jay's show, and I've almost certainly seen more of him when I was growing up due to the earlier time slot. No big knock against him -- still seems like a great guy and I'll still gladly sit down and watch the new-ish (now-axed) show. Truth be told, I think I like both hosts for two main reasons: the good jokes, and how they defend the bad ones!

^ Just saw that on the newsfeed. I used to be a big fan of Jay's but like a lot of people it seems, I feel he's grown too stale. (Heck, I know plenty of people who thought that from the start.) I voted Team Conan because his brand of comedy may be juvenile, but it works in an "aw, gee" sort of way. And like he says above, he has this huge commitment to the show, looking past the ratings et al., which I definitely admire. ...Though the poll reminded me too much of that "Team Edward vs. Jacob" Twihard crap so I almost didn't vote. (EDIT: Which I now see was the point!)

My phone wasn't working for much of the day, so calling my voicemail and hearing the escapades / various adoring fanmail for me was freakin' hilarious. Nathan, was that last one while you were watching Yo Gabba Gabba? I was trying to listen hard, and all I could possibly come up with was DJ Lance for the voice. Dan "Timtams Rule!" Smith

My thought exactly. My initial view toward this was cynicism; it just doesn't seem like everyone participating in this would be a law-abiding citizen.

I bought myself a special-edition three-pack at World Market for Christmas; I go weak at the knees for those things. (Thanks a LOT, Cam. ) The Freedom Festival, fireworks aside, has just become so sad over the past few years; I saw not one ride I actually wanted to pay for back in June. (Heck, the Tecumseh Cornfest has better rides!) -

Robb/Elissa, what kind of car do you drive?

I'm gonna guess... NOT a Delorean. -
Gotta work your way through med school somehow.

It's the end of a decade as we know it....
dandaman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Of the ones I can actually talk about: - Favorite new coaster: Maverick (western themeing always gets me) - Favorite new ride: Any of the Intamin drop towers (though they still scare the bejesus outta me) - Favorite new park: Islands of Adventure (of the one's I just visited this decade) - Most memorable park moment: all of Behemoth Bash - Most memorable coaster moment: riding with Robb on The Mighty Canadian Spinebuster ("This is the only ride where I could actually feel my balls clacking together like a Newton's cradle!") - Best ERT session: Behemoth/Vortex at night (seeing a trend here?) - Least favorite coaster: Minebuster (its only saving grace was mentioned above) - Least favorite ride: Backlot Tour Is Closed - Least favorite park: None, to be honest. - Your favorite TPR moment (favorite post, trip report, video, whatever!): all of the videos where A) everyone laughs deliriously, or B) Robb shouts well-deserved obscenities on horrible rides. - The decade's biggest flop: Hard Rock / Freestyle Music Park (though I wish I could actually visit to have better authority on that) - The best meal you've had at a park: Le Cellier, Epcot (can't go wrong with maple filet mignon and cheddar cheese soup) - The worst meal you've had at a park: Most of Cedar Point's counter food - Best park turnaround: Most of the Six Flags chain. Visiting Worlds of Adventure in 2002 and Great America in 2009 was like night and day. ----------------------- I can't thank the moderators and members of TPR nearly enough for all of the good times they've given me, mostly online, but for one day last year at an actual park also, which will NEVER be forgotten. Joining TPR was one of the best decisions I've made this decade, and I have not a shred of doubt in my mind that this site will continue to prosper and grow, so long as its awesome supporters keep on keepin' on. ^ I think my mom was more sick of watching me eat the creations than I was after eating it, albeit not by much...

I had two different Creepy Crawlers machines! They were awesome and earned their worth back by scaring the crap outta my mom and sister! I'm positive I still have at least one of them somewhere, along with 50 or so miscellaneous gummy creatures.

Good, 'cause I only have a couple more weeks before I'm Wii-less for about 4 months! (Don't trust the roommates, so I likely won't be bringing it back down to Florida.)

I know that being a 90's kid doesn't really qualify me for overt nostalgia just yet... but I played with and LOVED most of the games/toys they list!
