Back to the original question... If I had to pick one, I'd go with speed. The main reason Top Thrill Dragster is my favorite coaster is the sheer speed of the launch. 120mph is really freaking fast, and it is by far the best part of the coaster! I'll take speed over forces any day. Especially if it has been a long hot day at a park. On really long hot days it seems like the more forceful the coaster is the less I can enjoy it... mainly because my body is already drained from dealing with the heat all day long.

If you are going to be in Atlanta for a day I would highly suggest visiting Six Flags Over Georgia!

Sorry for the double post, but Cedar Point has added some new photos of Valravn that might interest some of you! I know this has already been said a million times, but the track for Valravn is massive. Just seeing workers next to the track really puts into perspective how massive not only the track is, but how massive this entire coaster is.

^ & ^^ I agree. I really don't think the watersplash is needed. The airtime will be a much better feature. And who knows... maybe there will be some airtime!!

I mean, they kind of go hand in hand. You're typically not going to have a super fast roller coaster that is forceless, and you're not going to have a really slow roller coaster that's really forceful.

^ But don't forget... Valravn, is going to be "overrated," "boring," "forceless," "not worth riding," and "a waste of money." Do you really think it's going to bring that many people to the park??

How is it that this topic has made it to 5 pages without anyone realizing that we ALREADY HAVE THIS TOPIC?!?!

This couldn't be more accurate. --------------------------- #BoatLivesMatter ------------------- Now, moving on. . . Valravn is looking amazing. The sheer size of this coaster is amazing. It is massive! There is no doubt that this is going to be a great addition to the park. Regardless of what people think. The GP is going to LOVE this coaster!! And it is going to be a reliablel, people eater. Just what the park needs!! Sure it's no Top Thrill Dragster 2.0, but it is what it is. We can't change what the park is building, so why spend hours upon hours bitching about something that CAN NOT BE CHANGED. Let's all just be glad the park is building an awesome Dive Machine with an awesome Dive Loop... NEVER been done on a Dive Machine before, and a really awesome looking third inversion! If anything it's going to bring even MORE of the GP to the park, which means more money for Cedar Point, which they can use towards RMCign Mean Streak! PLUS... and the biggest plus!!! (For those of you who wait in lines) ... Shorter lines for all the other major coasters!!

Heaven forbid Cedar Point get a new coaster when a different park might "need" a coaster. If that's the case. No park should ever build a new coaster. Ever. Because there might always be another park that needs it more. Then all new coasters would always suck. ----------- Seriously. This thread has gotten so out of hand. It's nothing but people complaining... just to complain. There is not one real valid complaint in the past several pages. Ugh, I'm going back to programing Christmas lights now.

I'm sorry I swear I'm not trying to be mean but I can't even begin to try to figure out what this paragraph is attempting to say. Same. I tried to make sense of it, but I just couldn't. (Not trying to be mean either.) Okay, now that makes more sense. I think Cedar Point is building a great coaster that will create a lot of hype! Maybe not for coaster enthusiast, but for the GP for sure. I know I am taking my best friend (who is not an enthusiast at all) to Cedar Point for her first ever visit this summer, and she is just as excited for Valravn as she is for TTD. Cedar Point knows what they are doing, and they are doing it well. Just because the enthusiast may not LOVE the new coaster they are building doesn't mean the GP isn't going to eat it up!

^ El Toro's drop probably looks bigger because it has all those wooden supports holding up so with there being more "stuff" around the drop it makes it look bigger. Mako has few supports around the drop so it just looks smaller because there's not as much "stuff" around it to make it look bigger. (I hope that made sense.) It's just how our brain perceives things.

Speaking of photos. . . They are starting to get a lot of track on site. They have 6 new pieces on site now. (Including those for the top of the Immelmann.) Edit: Sorry for the double post.

Did you miss all the pages of people complaining about how forceless dive machines are, and how they couldn't belive that Cedar Point would get a coaster like this... back when it was first leaked that Cedar Point was getting Valravn?? Oh dear God. And let's not mention all the comments about the color being to similar to other rides in the park. Many of those who have amazingly changed their minds now that they are seeing construction photos??? Those people are almost as bad as the turds complaining about people posting construction pictures!!

Sooooo... who's actually building this model?
