  1. Pretty sure it was Gatekeeper that was being discussed. Not Fury. But to answer your question... Obviously they did not feel the need to put nets on Fury. Why?? Because they just didnt. That's why. ------------ Also, is Valravn going to have "nets," or just a structure similar to what Raptor has??
  2. The train is not traveling fast enough on the lift hill for nets to be necessary. The queue line doesn't actually go under the Immelman... so no nets needed there.
  3. Maybe I'm just blind, but how exactly is this tower design that much different than TTD's or KK's?? (Aside from the back of the tower being angled??)
  4. What if it were a "Revenge of Mummy" style coaster? A lot of theming, that you don't zoom by at 50+mph. For the most part a fairly friendly coaster, yet still thrilling enough for coaster enthusiasts... oh, and cost about $40 million. They don't have to build a 500ft tall, multi-looping, Aqua Trax as their next coaster. They could very easily build a ROM style coaster. It would be a great addition to the park, and it would fit in the price range... and would fix the problem of people of not noticing the theming because they are zooming by at 50+ mph.
  5. BGT has posted a few new photos of Cobra's Curse on Twitter! The coaster is looking good!
  6. Given the supports in the most recent photos, I really doubt there is going to be a twist.
  7. Wait... a net made you less interested in a 223 foot dive coaster? That was the thing that just did it for you? A net? Never underestimate the power of a net. Net, or no net... does it really matter?? Most people are not going to even notice the net.
  8. It's called theming. If they are building a large addition, and it is very heavy themed, maybe a partly and/or mostly indoors coaster there is no reason it couldn't easily cost $35-40 million. For comparison... If Mystery Mine at Dollywood were built in 2016 it would cost about $20 million. So if SDC is building a larger coaster than Mystery Mine and theming it as heavily (Which we know they most likely will) then it could easily cost $35-40 million. I don't think we will see a "large addition with multiple coasters" for 2017 considering they just built Fireman's Landing, and that was a "multi-attraction" addition. I'm betting this will be a single coaster installation.
  9. Nooooo, it just means that you're part of a really awesome bigger picture that just hasn't come together yet! Or it means you´ll be ridden by thousands this year.
  10. Quote. For. Truth. This has ALWAYS annoyed me.
  11. Frontier City has confirmed that Gunslinger will NOT be Wild Thang from Magic Springs, but instead a brand new Power Surge ride. This was discussed in the thread talking about Frontier Cites new ride for 2016.
  12. Nooooo, it just means that you're part of a really awesome bigger picture that just hasn't come together yet!
  13. That Intamin looks amazing!!! Loving these large non-inverting loops that are coming out!!
  14. Wasn't this talked about when the first released Total Mayhem?? Either way, I do wish they would have paid more attention to details (Not that most of the GP will even notice, but still.) ... Ohhh, who am I kidding?? Paying attention to details?! I forgot .... This is Six Flags we are talking about.
  15. ^ Just noticed that they put that piece in place!!! Thanks for pointing it out. Hopefully they keep some nice awesome foot choppers there!!
  16. This. Shot. Is. Amazing. Thanks for sharing!!
  17. Well, the colors look much better. That's for sure!
  18. ^ I personally like the purple one more. It has more of a "pop" to it. The black just seems to blend in to much! (But that's just my opinion!) Either way, they both look good!
  19. It's function is to slow down the train. . . Just like any trim.
  20. I agree 100%. I mean when you think about it... Space Mountain doesn't even make sense either... I mean it's doesn't even take place in space. It would have been better named "Journey Through the Forbidden Metal Man-made Structure." -------------------- Call me crazy, but I HATE... Absolutely HATE the name "Kingda Ka." (That's not me being facetious, I really do hate that name. I've hated it since the day they announced it.)
  21. Cedar Point could do a dual loading version of the Premier Skyloop and I would be A-OKAY with that! 1.) We know Cedar Point would make it record breaking, which would make it amazing... 2.) Doing a dual loading (sliding) station similar to what they did with Zombie Ride would keep it from having to bad of capacity. 3.) It would be a fun unique ride for Cedar Point. It would be like a full circuit Wicked Twister! I vote yes!
