I hope this does turn into a Six Flags type thing. Look how many "meh" coasters Six Flags changed into amazing, crazy, extreme coasters. If Cedar Fair is doing the same thing, it means there are some awesome coasters coming in the future. Awesome coasters that will use an already existing footprint, which leaves room for more additions in the future. If anyone is complaining about Cedar Fair taking the Six Flags approach and RMCing old, tired, dated coasters into new cutting edge thrill rides are either insane, or have never been on an RMC . . . Or both.

I'm team 2018. . . Mainly because I feel like Cedar Point would have announced something by now if they planned on having it open in 2017. This is to major of an addition for them to come out on a few weeks and say "Oh, hey, yeah. By the way we are redoing Mean Streak and it will be open May of 2017." When ever the official announcement is, I bet it's going to be a nice "major" announcement as they do with any coaster, and it will have a 2018 opening date.

Looks awesome!! I'd gladly go if I were near by!! I think "Terror Behind The Doors" and "Creekside Manor" look the best!!! Hopefully all those who go greatly enjoy it!!

Hmmmm. Your comment made me think that Fury's height record is probably another one of the reasons that KI won't see a giga too soon. I would imagine that CF will want to let Carowinds hang on to that record for at least a little while before they try to trump it. Make Kings Island Great Again.
