YESSSSSS. I'll be out there next Monday, didn't get to ride it last year when I visited so I'm really looking forward to this sans VR. Thanks for the heads up! google didn't help much, besides one being Steve Jobs Day. but i wonder why it's open next monday? LA school something? i do see it is Sukkot the past few days which is why it was more crowded when i went yesterday. but i see nothing for monday. educate me.

i went today. i guess the holiday was still going on for some schools. mostly jewish kids, but still plenty others. wasn't bad, but wasn't total walk on on everything. parking was about 1 and 1/4 full. but i think many more families and larger groups. apocalypse was closed so i still failed again at riding after the rework. one way to repair a handrail mount. lol

oh, i see. sorry, i missed the part where she still had the old pass. i thought she added the meal plan to the existing pass. so she has two cards currently. if they were different numbers, i don't see why she couldn't scan the other pass in. i did realize that you do have to scan your pass in otherwise the dining plan won't work. at st louis this summer, i ordered a shake from johnny rockets, handed the girl my pass, and she said, it hadn't gotten scanned at the front gate. we got in using a different ticket. i showed the girl my ticket and said this is why. it makes sense, otherwise anyone could use anyone's pass to get meals. the girl just said don't worry about it, which was nice. lesson learned there though. a bit off topic, but i know at cedar fair parks, the discounts for a premium pass, as well as the picture pass are okay if not scanned in at the front gate. but probably because when they scan a pass, your photo is there for them to see.

no, my pass just showed two dining passes on it. so when i would get food, they could see both and pick each one when i ordered. i found it easier to call them when i had an issue. it was a special number, which i can't find anywhere right now. if i find it, i'll post it. but hopefully, they'll take care of your issue without having to call.

yeah, at least for me, this year, or i mean a few weeks ago when i went to process my new dining plan, they told me i would no longer have my current dining plan. the past previous 2 years i had both dining plans throughout the rest of the year. since it's the same for me, it didn't matter except that previous years i had both, so i'd load up on food. i know there's a phone number for the actual company that processes all the passholder stuff. you might be able to talk to them and get them to change it. that's just BS, unless they told her that she should wait until the new year to process.

do you have a Gold pass? it's bring a friend free on the 22nd. thank you. does that mean it will be crowded? i doubt it. not during the day at least. it's been free friend all weekdays after labor day. maybe that's why when i went last wed, the first lot was full instead of half or 2/3rds i thought it would be. lol

the night tram for a horror nights is different because you get out don't you? sorry, hhn newb. but, between the day and night normal tram, i suggest the day tram. since i think the tram is cool to see old sets, or rebuilt ones after two fires, lol. at night, there's not enough light, imo. when i've done the night trams, it seems like half of it is way too dark. oh, and i think the tram is roughly 45 minutes.

SFMM operates within the schedule for Los Angeles Unified School District and the 21st is Rosh Hashanah a Jewish holiday or remembrance time. Has something to do with getting head for a year per Wikipedia. Etymology: "Rosh" is the Hebrew word for "head", "ha" is the definite article ("the"), and "shanah" means year. Thus "Rosh HaShanah" means 'head [of] the year', referring to the Jewish day of new year. Just come on Wednesday if you can as even though they are open 2 hours less than Thursday you will have a freestyle of the park and will be able to get multi rides on most. While it might be doable to get on most attractions once on Thursday it will be more crowded. Uh oh! Planned a trip to Knott's this Wednesday morning to Friday night to get some rides and first night of scary farm... this hashanah traffic gonna be over there too??? maybe, but do you really need that many days at Knotts?

It's technically an "unassigned" day, but it acts the same as a holiday. It's for Rosh Hashanah. So all the LAUSD schools have it off. I'd stay away unless you can't swap days. I'm sure the other days besides friday will be dead. well, friday will probably be dead until late afternoon when the fright fest crowd starts to enter. you'll also have a real long day to use there which is always nice.

Is that like only the first parking lot section filled? spent about 5-6 hours at the park today. pretty dead. most all coasters were running one train. TC and Yolo had two. Even so, most everything was like a 1 train wait, if not walk on. parking was about a one full lot, and one school bus. hung out with x2isawesome and bumped into coasternut. i've only been on one justice league at st louis. the sfmm seemed far far better. the having to pour your drink cup out before going into the building is understandable, but i think they should figure something out for the bottles. anyway, i enjoyed it. redeemed my dining pass and got my new bottle. this year, and they told me before they did it, when you add the 2018 dining plan, it cancels out the 2017. last year, and the year before, i was able to use both. so i had access to double the food. not a huge deal, but friends had benefited from that in the past. rode x2 for the first time in years. still feel the pounding the back of my head took on the final raven turn. anyway, great time to go now. everything had no line except for superman which was about 3/4 of the tunnel.

OMG EEWWWWW! What part of the rail in line (near station, the queue further back, etc?) Hopefully it doesn't compare to the gum wall in Seattle. lol, it's over the rail on the ramp up. just look over sometime. thankfully, the public can't touch it. it's kind of like the areas on The Beast and Diamondback where people throw their vinyl wristband things, but with gum, SFMM style. haha i believe they finally keep somewhat clean the goldrusher gum support up the first lift on the left. the Goliath gum wall is pretty clean now compared to years past going up the steps to the station. so maybe they are making an effort? lol
