  1. Considering parking is $25 I'd say get the pass. I'm pretty sure you just show them the voucher at the booth and they scan it and it works for one time parking. Correct me if I'm wrong. Of course this only applies to gold passes I'm assuming parking is still included in them. You're correct. THis is how it has worked for me at both Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Great Adventure. Thanks. They will still add the parking to the season pass right? I tried calling but I can't get a person on the phone lol. I just want to make sure of that before I buy them. Also I never used to take my phone into six flags but this year I am wanting. What do you all do with your phones when on the rides? I guess I am scared that it will fall out of my pocket. Was thinking about getting a small fanny pack but I know on some rides, like Toro, they don't allow them. I do zipping cargo shorts, or I stuff my personal belongings into my sports bottle. That being said I would NOT recommend taking any loose articles into Great Adventure. They're aggressive on their no loose article policy. I've seen people not able to ride since they have phones in their pocket and their are no bins for personal belongings. I always leave my phone in the car and my wallet at Great Adventure and just stuff my seasons pass into my shoe once I'm in the park. I'm much less stressed this way. That's just me though. Great Adventure has the worst loose article accommodations of any park I have ever been to. Fair trade for some of the best coasters in the world.

  3. I thought Cedar Fair refused to work with Intamin anymore after all the problems their rides have provided them.
  4. For 30 bucks I wouldnt ever go without it. Love them. They are just Qbots but since as soon as you're scanned in the station it resets you can start waiting for your next ride while you're in line for your row on the first ride you queued. It's awesome. Also it allows you to roam the park while you wait instead of sitting in a line. You can sit down and eat while your timesaver waits 2 hours for Lightning Rod, meanwhile you're out enjoying the park and not trapped in a zig zag of metal and heat.
  5. I of course say that in jest. I love Dollywood, but this has begun to spiral out of hand. I feel bad for them I know they are probably livid at all of these issues. I still eagerly await the all clear so I can finally ride an RMC haha. Not a single park in the USA that tops Dollywood? That's bold. You have to REALLY like park food and shows to put it that high on the list. I can understand wanting to ride Lightning Rod though. I still would choose to ride Twisted Colossus givin the choice between the two. I guess that's just me though.
  6. Dollywood also has an amazing experience without the roller coasters. Name one thing Cedar Point has that can match the amazingness of Dollywood's cinnamon bread. Roller coasters that work.
  7. I was also there yesterday. I got there at opening and the park was basically dead. Walked onto GC, Acrophobia, GASM, and Blue hawk, then after that the park was SLAMMED. I have also never seen it THAT bad. Me and the misses just decided to leave since we only live 45 minutes away. Also I agree with you on Blue Hawk, it feels a LOT faster than Ninja. I have only ever ridden either in the very back seat, so I can't compare it to other seats, but it felt way faster than I remember Ninja being last winter. A much more thrilling and worth ride.
  8. 10. Griffon 9. Goliath SFOG 8. Dueling Dragons Fire 7. Storm Runner 6. Afterburn 5. El Toro 4. Thunderhead (at night in the dead of winter, most fearful I've ever felt on any coaster) 3. Millennium Force 2. Skyrush 1. Fury 325
  9. Six Flags Over Georgia is 45 minutes from me, Carowinds is 4 hours, and 15 minutes. Dollywood is 4, and a half hours. Guess which ones I've visited several times this season? Carowinds, and Dollywood. Guess which one I've only gone to twice for a few hours. Six Flags Over Georgia. Oh, also I had never been to ANY of these parks before I moved here in September (except I think I went to SFOG once when I was like 3 years old) The park just doesn't hold up to its competitors. I'm always willing to get up at 5AM and shoot over to Carowinds or Dollywood for a day before I visit SFOG even though I have a seasons pass to all 3. They just don't pack the same punch currently, and a justice league ride is not going to help that. If they're a regional park, as opposed to a destination park, than I think they're gonna need to really step it up with at least 1 new awesome coaster soon, otherwise I'll be much more likely to drive to the destination parks because they offer me so much more. Of course this is just my opinion, and I'm sure there are plenty who disagree with me, but I'm from the north, I was always within 2 hours of Six Flags Great Adventure or Hershey Park, not to mention Knoebles and Dorney Park. I guess I'm spoiled, but I'm gonna need something a bit more substantial than 1 pretty good Hyper Coaster and an awesome Looper (Mindbender) to justify spending a day at the park. I realize how entitled that sounds haha.
  10. Would one of those launched full circuit loops (like Tempesto or Phobia, the name of this ride type is slipping my mind) fit in the SWF area?
  11. Just going off of what I've ridden personally. Ohio-Millennium Fofce New Jersey- El Toro (BY A LANDSLIDE) Pennsylvania- SkyRush Virginia- Griffon (I've only been to BGW and it was before Verbolten or Tempesto was installed) North/South Carolina- Fury 325 Georgia- Goliath Florida- Dueling Dragons Fire (when it was properly dueling, also I've only been to IOA) Tennessee- Thunderhead (LR was closed but I'm sure it's better)
  12. Potential clue to a theme? I could get into a Batman VS Superman theme. (FINGERS CROSSED FOR DUELING RMC lol)
  13. Like I said earlier, it's Samsung driving this. By putting it on a flagship coaster, it puts more eyes on their product. As an advertiser, would you want your product on a ride that puts 1 million people through the que per year or one that does 450k? I understand that. I just hope this trend turns into a PR nightmare honestly. That's the only way I see it stopping. If it doesn't stop we might see parks starting to double down on the VR and so on and so on.
  14. Am I the only one who thinks this VR stuff needs to stop? I rode DDD with VR and it wasn't really too awesome. It just fell out of sync a lot and made for a disorienting experience that was not enjoyable. Haven't ridden it again since and I refuse to wait hour and hours for it. I guess it has a place, but between this and Superman The Ride getting VR, I think six flags should stop butchering flagship attractions. I think VR could be used to enhance sub par coasters, but I don't think it's a good fit for big awesome flagship hyper coasters.
  15. So much this! I couldn't believe they put VR on that ride, of all their options! To be fair, there have been worse choices to VR (COUGH COUGH SUPERMAN THE RIDE COUGH COUGH NUMBER 1/2 HYPER COASTER IN THE WORLD DOESN'T NEED A VR GIMMICK COUGH COUGH)
  16. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA^ Where did you find that image that fast! You just cracked me up really hard!!
  17. So a Free Fly would be pretty bad for that. I thought the T Rex design was the 2 across hyper coaster style track, and the Raptor was the single seat, clone only, smaller version for small parks. Unless they just dropped the 2 across mono track design all together. Anyway, whatever it ends up being, I'd prefer it be something with a unique layout, but that's just my preference/opinion. Guess we'll have to wait a few months to find out. Once we know for sure what's getting torn down, and have a better idea of how much room will become available, it make make some options more clear. Time will tell I guess. You know that's a really great point. Funny enough I actually love both El Diablo and Jokers Chaos Coaster, so clearly not all clones are bunko. I think it's just so early and so up in the air that it's hard not to throw in what we as enthusiasts would love to see. I guess if we all got it our way there would be nothing but Giga coasters and dippin dots haha.
  18. Yes, and I will again in a few weeks with Joker, but I'm not a fan. Ride it for the credit and move on, but that's just my opinion. I'm sure a Free Fly would be a crowd pleaser, I'd just love to see something else. I would feel ecstatic to get an RMC 40 minutes from my house, especially when the nearest 2 are 4 1/2 and 6+ hours away with Lightning Rod, and Storm Chaser, and BOTH I was supposed to be riding this spring and neither worked out, with LR being delayed and my trip to KK getting canceled. I will of course reschedule and make it there as soon as I can, but I would love to be able to get off of work, go to the park, grab a bite, and ride an RMC. That sounds like heaven.
  19. Hoping I stay 160 forever the that sweet sweet bread never comes back to bite me.
