If they go with a Free Fly I will be massively let down, but I'll still have a few other coasters at the park worth riding and it's still my current home park. Still sucks to see so many Six Flags parks getting RMCs the last few years only to get skipped yet again especially since we haven't gotten a major coaster at SFOG in years since DDD.

Ah, I misread your original post, my apologies. Pretty heartbreaking to see it have issues on opening day but glad to see the park is getting more and more confident in the ride. + -

Not saying what did and didn't happen at the park today but I have seen friends posting pictures waiting in line with the ride closed. -

I'm sure this has already been discussed and I simply missed it, but why is there an American flag flying high over this coaster? Because RMC is an American company or did I miss something? Also isn't the first stall going to be the tallest wooden inversion in the world, or is Goliath's 1st inversion bigger? -
I just got back from the park a few hours ago. I REALLY like Blue Hawk. I'm going to make it a new ride that I consistently go on each visit. It's lightyears better. No headbanging at all thanks to the new restraints. The seats are deep and comfortable. I only felt 2 note wortht jerks the whole ride. One exciting the second inversion and one exiting the second corkscrew. Other than that there were no moments of oh goodness that was a jolt. Vekoma did this ride proud with the refirb. Blue Hawk is good to go guys. Just my opinion though.

Lol I watched the selfie POV even though awkward, it shows how much power is given in the back of the train and you can hear the screams from literally everyone on the ride. From "DEAR GODS" to "HOLY CRAPS" they can all be heard. Would it be against forum rules to tell me the name of the instagramer who posted this pov? -

For sure the best looking trains I have ever seen bar none! It's really grown on me, the lead car specifically. -

Are we looking at the new number 1 wooden coaster in the world? Maybe that's a bit bold but almighty this monster looks intimidating! Would do anything to ride it soon!! -

WHY DOES EVERYONE FORGET JOKER?! AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS IT LOOKS AMAZING!? -
So is this going to be mono tracked? That's an interesting choice. Does anyone know any structural pros and cons to mono track? Also I'm having trouble wrapping my head around how banking would work with mono track, unless the chassis pushes against a section of flat track.

Of the 3 standup coasters I've ridden I still think Scorcher is right in the middle. It's a LOT better than Vortex but I still prefer Green Lantern. It was a lot more intimidating (also it was the first standup coaster I had the pleasure of riding) and I just get a much wilder sense of scale and speed. Also the corkscrews and sharp turns after the mid coarse break run are intense but they don't bash my head as much as Scorcher does. I'm the odd one out here clearly, so maybe I'm just riding it wrong. I'd be stoked if they gave Scorcher the Rougarou treatment.

Hush hush, it's an original, unique joke that transcends forums and even time itself. It's a magnificent work of comedic genius. Oh wait... This and the boat thing from the Cedar Point thread (plus its spillover) has been some of the worst, most forced stuff I've seen on this forum. We've reached new highs of shitposting in 2016, that's for sure. Glad the trend is dying down before this site becomes memeparkreview. -

It for sure appeals to familes but I've gone alone as a teenager and its incredibly fun. You just cant help but get a stupid grin from ear to ear. Everything is just viciously positive and upbeat. Especially the themeing. I feel like I'm teleported into a different world at Dollywood. It's not like a six flags park where I feel like everything is trying to scare me in some way. Even the names. Dollywoods rides are all named positive and interesting names. I feel like Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks like to name their rides in a manor to strike fear into the GP. Names like Fury and Nitro ect ect. -

I get where he is coming from. Dollywood while fun my first visit has VICIOUSLY grown on me with each visit since. I had only been to Sox Flags and Cedar Fair parks up to that point excluding BGW amd IOA so I am much more used to heavy thrill centered parks as opposed to atmosphere and theme focussed parks. I now think Dollywood is my favorite park to visit. I love all the coasters for their charm (and for Thunderhead being truly intense and kickass) and while I always love wild hyper and giga coasters, I still pick Dollywood any day of the week for the atmosphere food and shows alone. Coming from a 20 year old this park packs some SERIOUS charm. -

Thunderhead for me at the moment is my #1 wooden coaster beating El Toro and Lightning Racer for me. Incredible intense ride.
