  1. 81. I don't ride kiddie coasters at parks anymore, so it could be way higher but it really doesn't matter. I'd rather go home with one less credit then face the shame/embarrassment of being 20 years old by myself riding a kiddie coaster in a park that has a hyper coaster 2 minutes walk away.
  2. On the app the wait times looked EXTREMELY low but Lightning Rod was closed all day.
  3. I know, right? I've already had two seizures, because of it. On IOS it's just a little checkbox to turn off the signature. I forget to hit it a lot of the time though.
  4. I just saw the part in parenthesis that says 'from completely credible sources.' Probably shouldnt skim a post that's that long.
  5. I've been on every launched wooden roller coaster.
  6. 'Does anyone have any predictions or speculation as to where RMC will be working in 2017, if they'll be working at all? I'd hate for 2017 to be a year with no new RMC coasters.' Should be rewritten 'Does anyone have any predictions or speculation as to where RMC will be working in 2017, if they'll be working on any custom coasters at all? I'd hate for 2017 to be a year with no new RMC branded roller coasters using topper track or iron horse track. Better?
  7. Oh you didn't hear? Word on the street is that much like with Cedar Fair and Intamin, HFE doesn't work with RMC any more because of all the problems they had on past rides. Cedar Fair doesn't either since they saw what happened with Lightning Rod and don't want to end up in another Intamin situation where (based on the rumors from super credible sources) Matt Ouimet gets piss drunk at the Thirsty Pony and gets in a fist fight with Alan Schilke like he did with the CEO of Intamin after the Shoot the Rapids incident and I305 and Maverick "disasters" with the minor reprofiling. This is why Cedar Fair will never work with Intamin again. All new American coasters will likely be built by GCI, B&M, S&S or Pinfari for the time being. I'm not saying they'll never work with RMC again but right now it doesn't look good. I'm sorry but outside of Lightning Rod, what MAJOR problems have RMCs had? The sensor delays this year on The Joker are because six flags does in house sensors, so that's their own fault, and the Texas Giant incident was employee error (and those weren't even RMC trains anyway). What other problems have RMC really run into? Their rides outside of Lightning Rod seem to have been completed and in working order pretty quickly.
  8. Having ridden that installment, they can get 'too busy' in my backyard at their earliest convenience haha. Do you guys really thing it could be Mean Streak. I guess it's for sure a possibility, and if any cedar fair park would invest back to back like that it would be Cedar Point, but it still just feels a little too far fetched for me. It would be awesome though, since I'm moving north next year and Cedar Point will be a hop skip and a jump away.
  9. I'm on the opposite side of the fence. I don't think Mean Streak is gonna get the RMC treatment at all. I personally think they'll demolish it and put a GCI coaster in its spot but that's just me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'm assuming this is the post you mean. I see that track to the left which does indeed look like a flat turn. I wonder why the 2017 announcements have been thus far withheld. Especially if its an Iron Horse redo since all of their groun up rides are topper track. I've actually wondered why there have been no ground up Iron Horse coasters and no Topper Track conversion. I don't see any reason either wouldn't be possible other than parks simply not ordering them.
  11. So with most of the major american chains having made their 2017 announcements, I can't help but notice that this year has so far been completely void of RMC conversions and ground ups. What gives? Does anyone have any predictions or speculation as to where RMC will be working in 2017, if they'll be working at all? I'd hate for 2017 to be a year with no new RMC coasters.
  12. In this instance, it stopped about halfway on the hill while the train was still over the LSM's. It was my first time ever seeing a rollback on the coaster. I saw a rollback on Top Thrill Dragster, which was also kind of cool. I mean the train was empty, and they probably purposely did a rollback, but I still got to see a rollback I saw rollback testing on Lightning Rod when I was there earlier this year but I've never seen it roll back not on purpose. 13. I rode it when it was Chang and I loved it, but then again maybe I just didn't find it rough compared to T2, Thunder Run and Twisted Twins. This is it. GL is just crappy compared to our otherwise solid lineup. Its fine if people like it, and I'm sure it was a real gem when it was at KK but we have so many other coasters I personally would rather ride. Its just like my Possessed/Wicked Twister conundrum. I love Possessed and thought WT was average - it has less to do with the rides themselves and much more to do with the other coasters in their respective parks. I think I'm just weird. Before I moved to Georgia last winter Great Adventure was my home park, and as long as the line wasn't more than 20 minutes Green Lantern was always a go to, especially over Superman. I however will agree its weak compared to the awesome lineup of Nitro, BTR, Bizarro, and El Toro. Though I havent been to cedar point since Maverick was new, at the time it was my third favorite coaster there after Maverick, and Millennium Force. I will say I think Possessed is the best coaster at Dorney, but I've been beating Dorney to death since I was about 12 years old so I don't even ride some of their coasters anymore. Steel Force is a skip for me pretty much if I go. They need a new coaster badly.
  14. If this is the Wawa right near Six Flags Great Adventure I am VERY guilty of fueling up here before visiting the park.
  15. Unpopular opinion, I like Green Lantern and it is more enjoyable than the other 2 standup coasters I've ridden.
  16. This absolutely. The ending of this ride kills it for me, its solid up to that point. I'd get rid of the trim on Fury 325's airtime hill. Modify Hurler so it's no longer a wooden roller coaster and is now a scrap pile. Make Tennessee Tornado's major loop 'straight' because it feels awkward as it is. Get rid of Makos trim brake on the second airtime hill.

  18. Well, that's pretty freakin awesome. A clever solution to an annoying problem.
  19. Not that this isn't plausible, but is there a source for this information?
  20. The motor. That's how roller coasters go uphill. It took me slightly longer than I'd like to admit to realize this was a joke.
  21. Oh goodness, what aspect of the train even needs oil? I guess besides maybe the wheel bearings? Also I'll be returning to Dollywood not this coming weekend but the following for two days. I'm moving away so I need to get as much Lightning Rod in as I can.
  22. My list has now changed significantly in the last few weeks so I figured it deserves an update. 10. Storm Runner 9. Thunderhead 8. Maverick 7. Nitro 6. SkyRush 5. Millennium Force 4. El Toro 3. Mako 2. Fury 325 1. Lightning Rod
  23. It's taken on the little airtime pop before the final turn.
  24. No windshields though the engine block is still on the front. (unfortunately if you ask me.) The back remains bare and exposed. (for the better again in my opinion.) Edit- Random question, what's the word on that 4k video with all those sweet under train shots? And also, no updates on the documentary? I've been looking forward to it. ALSO (sorry I'm sure this is annoying) I've seen people with Rocky Mountain Construction T shirts and Hoodies that don't work for the company. Is there any way to purchase these, or do you just have to know the right people to get your hands on one?
  25. This is what I'm talking about! If you're a real coaster enthusiast, you will have the smarts to use a cripple for they're full potential. I married into my cripple. Alana's father has a bad hip and uses one of those rascals. Bam! Front of line! I can't wait to start degenerating. I will use that shiz for all it's worth. Then get all uppity and offended when people mock or make fun of me. Cause' I loves me somma hipocrite. Hahahaha. This gave me a laugh. Sea World Orlando gave me really good service too. Very comparable service actually. I still didnt expect Dollywood to let me choose my seats on the rides. No way in hell I'm gonna turn down free chances to ride Lightning Rod in the 2 best seats in the house. That twist and shout in the front seat is to die for. Make me even more eager to ride Wildfire!
