  1. This. You would save money most likely and get 3 amazing parks. That being said if you HAVE to choose between BGW or SFA you for sure wanna go with Busch Gardens. Much better coasters and a much nicer park, theme and upkeep wise.
  2. Absolutely Dollywood Carowinds Sfog Sea World Orlanda Busch Gardens FL Busch Gardens VA Kings Dominion Sif Flags America Hershey Park Six Flags Nee England Lake Compounce Candas Wonderland Cedar Point Kings Island Holiday World Kentucky Kingdom Possibly Six Flags Over Texas Six Flags Fiesta Texas Silver Dollar City
  3. Edit- For some reason it double posted. Please remove. Sorry.
  4. Dollywood on the 18th, 19th, and 20th. My next NEW park will be Kings Dominion this summer.
  5. I never got to ride STR but to be honest until this popped up I kind of forgot it even existed. A flop for the park to say the least. If it's removed it will open up some good real estate.
  6. Just go ride Fury, these flats are icing on the cake but who cares. Fury and Afterburn are all that matters. Hahaha. Intimidator is pretty sweet too!
  7. RMC could probably make a good tribute to the ride (t-rex track maybe) but I think Mack would be a better fit for a remake personally. I just don't think it's something B&M or Intamin could do justice to if that makes any sense.
  8. I just think the layout was really bland. Don't get me wrong. It's a good ride and it does extremely well with what it has to work with, but in concept the layout is meh. If you took the same layout, and replaced it with say B&M sitdown trains, it would be incredibly dull. Edit- I don't want it to seem like I dislike TT. I think it's a wonderful ride, I just think it's layout is weak, how it handles its layout however is a different story.
  9. For me the most consistently enjoyable coaster layout has got to be Afterburn at Carowinds. It's not my favorite coaster ever, mainly because it's not the most intense coaster I've ridden by any means, but it's pacing is just flawless. It attacks its inversions one after the other giving you no time to breathe. It's by far my favorite B&M invert followed closely by Raptor. However, a ride I havent ridden that I think has a conceptually better layout is The Voyage at Holiday World. I will be trying out that ride this summer so I can't wait to see if it lives up to what I have in my head. Same goes for Boulder Dash on all counts.
  10. I never got to ride Drachen Fire (I was 2 when it closed) but I think it had an incredibly inventive layout. I really wish that Busch Gardens would hire Mack to remake it as a mega coaster (of course that will NEVER happen ) I guess it must have just rode like garbage. As for Tennessee Tornado, I guess I put it on here because the layout really is nothing special, but combining the historic (for me being so young) effect of riding an arrow looper combined with its location makes it a good coaster. That's me at least.
  11. Six Flags Great Adventure Six Flags Over Georgia Knoebles Hershey Park Dorney Park Dollywood Carowinds Islands Of Adventure Busch Gardens VA Kings Dominion (never as an adult but visited when I was 2. Going back in May) Disney World FL (Same as KD but I wont be going there any time soon) However after this year I will be going to a LOT of new parks. Kings Dominion as an adult Six Flags America Lake Compounce Six Flags New England Canada's Wonderland Kings Island Kentucky Kingdom Holiday World Sea World Orlando Busch Gardens Tampa Fun Spot Orlando and possibly Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Silver Dollar City. The others are all payed for and set in stone.
  12. Talon at Dorney Park in PA. This was also the first full size roller coaster I had ever ridden in my life. Love at first flight haha.
  13. Personally I'd say Ninja at SFoG. This ride is just a mess of awkward transitions and is the only ride I've ever ridden that caused actual lasting pain after. Id also argue that Dollywood's Tennessee Tornado has a pretty mediocore layout. However I actually enjoy this ride and it's my favorite arrow coaster I've ridden. The layout is extremely basic but the way it attacks it is still great.
  14. I'm not a fan of SDL so I never really go into its area thus why I don't really take pictures of it. If I go 1 more time this year I'll be sure to snap a few pictures. You can't just say something and then claim you didn't say it. Skyrush's lift hill is not small, and it does get very high off the ground. Relative to the four complete circuit coasters that break 300 feet? Maybe not. Relative to the rest of coasterdom? 200 feet is still very tall, and one of the defining features of the ride. I understand where you're coming from but I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree, you consider 200 feet to be significant and I don't. We probably won't come to an understanding.
  15. I noticed that after I posted it and was hoping no one would catch the mistake hahah! I recommend the park highly. It's only downfall is sometimes the lines but those are on busy days. I love Hershey! Saying something is small, and saying something doesn't get very high off the ground in my opinion are 2 different things. I've ridden much much bigger than Skyrush, and I have yet to go to a single park that does not have at least 1 hyper coaster. Maybe just based on where I live, since it seems as though every single park has a hyper coaster, 200 feet is not special to me. It's just normal. I'm not saying they're bad coasters, but if Dorney Park was to announce a new hyper coaster (ignoring that they already have steel force) Unless it was something that packed a crazy punch I wouldn't lose my marbles.
  16. DJ Sammy-Heaven-Cedar Point Blink 182-Family Reunion-Any Six Flags Park (replacing the last word with wallet) Blink 182-The Rock Show-Hershey park
  17. I honestly think Skyrush's small lift hill is its best part because it packs such a hard punch without getting very high off the ground. True It's the tallest coaster at Hershey but on a global scale its height is nothing significant. Sorry but this is ridiculous. Two coasters break 400 feet and suddenly 200 feet is "nothing significant". Do you realize just how relatively few hyper coasters there are in existence? There's less than fifty. Just shows how spoiled Americans are when it comes to coasters. 200 feet, a "small lift hill"... pffft... I never said 200 feet is a small lift hill...... In this day and age a coaster breaking 200 feet is nothing special. What it DOES with those 200 feet is the special part. I fail to see what me being American has to do with my view on hyper coasters.
  18. I honestly think Skyrush's small lift hill is its best part because it packs such a hard punch without getting very high off the ground. True It's the tallest coaster at Hershey but on a global scale its height is nothing significant.
  19. To be honest? Alpengeist at Busch Gardens. Not to say it's a terrible ride but it's utterly disappointing to me. For being so tall for a looping coaster it's so forceless that I just got nothing out of it. I had several chances to ride it again and just opted out because of how boring it was. I like Cedar Points Corkscrew or Iron Dragon more and that's saying something.
  20. Mantis at Cedar Point because by the time I got off Millennium Force at night the park was closed. Same with El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure because of Nitro's night line.
  21. I love Skyrush and while the pressure on my legs is bearable I have to be honest the restraints could be a lot better. They just don't sit right. The way I like to point this out is how the sit when pressed all the way down in an empty seat. They sit maybe 3 inches above the sit completely flat. I think it would be better if it was shaped so at the max it can go it was still at a maybe 25-30 degree angle than totally flat and sitting back bout 4-5 inches so that it was flush with the waist instead of the upper thigh.
  22. Super steep drop kinda makes it seem a lot shorter than it is. You certainly feel all 200 feet of the drop hahahahah. Awesome coaster.
  23. I feel like Great Bear has an awesome start but falls short after the Zero-G roll. I still think Raptor has to be my favorite B&M Invert I' have ridden to date. Talon I have ridden so many times it's lost its luster but it will always be the first roller coaster I ever rode. Never have been to Busch Gardens Florida so I have not yet ridden Montu. Lightning Racer is great, but I prefer Wildcat, it's really rough and fast. It's my favorite wooden coaster for a reason hahahahah. Storm Runner is GREAT fun! Fahrenheit is a good ride but not very forceful in my opinion. Skyrush is second in my mind only to Millennium Force.
  24. So yesterday I returned to good ol Hershey Park! I had a great time. It was a rather busy day so the lines got a LITTLE annoying but otherwise it was an awesome day. The weather was overcast but held out the entire time I was there. Only coaster I didn't get to ride that I wanted to was Fahrenheit. The wait was about an hour and a half and I thought that was too much. Finally got to try Skyrush in the front row and again chose to ride on the winged seat. It was my best ride on the coaster yet and solidifies its position as my second favorite coaster on the planet. Was a fun 2 and 1/2 hour drive This sign is the only reason we knew we were on the right track I love watching these coasters from the red lights on the road. Great photo ops of Wildcat from the highway Proper coaster atire I always hit my head on this stupid shuttle but it beats walking to the entrance. I decided to take better advantage of this awesome path where you can see all of Skyrush This airtime hill felt even more intense today! The ride gets insanely close to the ground which really shakes the surrounding area with the rides intense roar and vibration. Headchopper air time hill is equally as awesome as the first! I love this Stengel Dive! Tried to get a good photo of our front seat riders. 85 degrees is certainly intense and one of the steeper drops of our area. Generic airtime hill photo. Seriously if there was ever a ride that made you feel like you were going to get thrown out......... it would be Skyrush! I messed up this photo. I wanted to get the entire train. Tree is in the way): This airtime hill is honestly as awesome as every other one. This over bank turn is also awesome. Moved on to the first ride of the day which was Great Bear, I didn't take many photos until later. Okay so I really have to admit this heartline roll throws me for a loop. No pun intended. The lateral forces on the twisted horseshoe roll are amazing. The best seat on Great Bear I think is the back on the far left. Same goes for Storm Runner. Don't let her smile fool you, she is terrified of Storm Runner ahahaha. The launch might not be the fastest I've been on but it's still one of my favorites. Only boomerang coaster I've ever been on. The new restraints are really comfortable. MID LAUNCH FACE!! We didn't get to ride Fahrenheit ): The line was insanely long. FAVORITE WOODY EVER! I know there is nothing special about it but I just love Wildcat. Nerd shot! Everyone loved their lower back injury! Ferris Wheel is always a must take photo! Don't let this fool you, it was a busy day at the park. Thought this was a GREAT shot. The good ol Bear in the distance. THE STUPID SKY RIDE GOT IN THE WAY!!! Gotta love a good Immelman loop! It's a pretty common inversion but I always love them!! Love a good zero g roll! 212 feet of awesome would be the last ride of the day! I like the unique start to Great Bear! The helix actually gives some nice positive g's This kind of bank to dive drop reminds me of Raptor at Cedar Point. Vertical loopy goodness. I messed up another shot. UGH! 10 points to whoever can tell me what this is a picture of! (Yes I know already) That cable lift really gets the ride up the hill quickly! I am upset that the lift slows down so much at the top. I want bonus points for getting 3 trains at once! It has a pretty cool sign! Awesome overbanked turn! Super airtime filled first drop! Certainly a great sense of speed! The wing seats are the best way to ride! DUMB TREE!! Not so far off the ground is it? I want more coasters to have this element! Overhead shots are always cool no? The twisty airtime hill is also always a welcome element! Finish the day in style with a Lizard!!! We had an AWESOME day at Hershey park One more trip left this year for Six Flags Great Adventure in 2 weeks!! I'll be sure to upload a trip report!!
  25. The lateral forces are insane and I WILL admit the Millennium Force does not compete in that aspect. I'm a sucker for floater airtime though, that's part of why I actually like Steel Force at Dorney Park. I think Millennium Force is just a better ride as far as an overall experience. I got off of Skyrush thinking "damn, that was intense and I wanna ride it again, and that was after riding I think around 33 other coasters and well over 150 credits combined on them maybe it was something that while it stands out I think I've ridden better. It's for sure a top 3 but I think Millennium Force still blows me away. When I stepped off of MF the only thought I could have was "That was the best roller coaster I have ever ridden.' If I could ride them both within like the same week I think I could give a more honest rating without my Millennium Force beer goggles. I'll put it this way, every roller coaster I ride I now rate based on living up to Millennium Force.
