  1. I'd say the Intamin magnetic brakes. Anything that can stop a ride vehicle as heavy as Acrophobia's while falling straight down 200 feet is a win in my book. Still the scariest drop ride I've ever been on and it never stops wowing me. Better than Zumanjaro haha.
  2. There ya go, page 926. IDK why it wont embed when I quote it.
  3. Go a few pages back. There's a video of people riding it.
  4. If it's not open by July all hope is lost haha.
  5. We are flying over from Germany (June,25th until July,16th) to visit a few parks (Cedar Point, SFGADV, SFNE, Hershey). We plan to include Dollywood because of Ligtning Rod, but if the ride won't be open until the 10th, July, we will reschedule and visit Kings Dominion instead. I'd personally go to Kings Dominion over Dollywood just for the coasters but that's just me.
  6. Edit- phone sometimes will double post. My apologies.
  7. THIS is being smart. I don't live anywhere near that far away but I canceled my trip next month just to not waste on hotels gas and food if it's still closed and have to come back anyway.
  8. I've personally stopped caring. When it opens it opens and it will be fantastic. I'm not really checking for updates as often, especially since once it opens it will EXPLODE on social media and I'll know pretty quick. They're working hard I'm sure guys. They will open it when it's ready. I don't know about anyone else but for me personally, having made the 4 hour + drive TWICE this year in hopes it would be open only to know as the date got closer that it wouldnt be this has certainly taught me a lesson in patience. Instead of trying again in 3-4 weeks I'm going to actually WAIT FOR THE RIDE TO OPEN before I book another trip.
  9. Especially since Garbles and I paid admission the day it opened to get you this awesome footage. I love how it instantly trims out of the station haha.
  10. You'd be better off getting 2 time savers with 2 people on each so that 2 could use the reservation while the other 2 wait and then vice versa. If it's a busy day (like busy to the point that you're parking in lots D and E before the park even opens) they're a life saver. I will be getting them every time I'm at the park from here on out especially when Lightning Rod opens.
  11. http://rcdb.com/7410.htm HAHAHAHA Shafted!
  12. Oh wow. That's crazy I didn't think they had anywhere NEAR that much property! Thanks for the share!
  13. Looking on google earth I'm just trying to get an idea of where their land ends. They obviously can't build behind Ms Lilian's since the eagle reserve is back there and the ridge behind Firechaser Express is A really out of the way for guests (not a big deal) and B is where the train is and is incredibly hilly with lots of cliffs so hard to build on.
  14. Fingers crossed for a giga coaster? All jokes aside that probably realistic. Isn't Dollywood sorta running low on real estate? (Unless they're aloud to build back where the Dollywood Express goes but I highly doubt that since that's such a popular ride.
  15. The line looks great. A lot of work left to be done but hopefully they can bust it out quickly. Eager for an annoucement.
  16. I have not though I hope I can next summer. It's for sure near the top of my must get to parks.
  17. I loved it when I visited back in 2014! I didn't know much about it going in, and I thought it was great. My first time riding it was in late March. I knew nothing about it going in except that it had a drop at the end. No one told me it had 3. Went back 2 weeks ago for the weekend and rode it 11-12 times because we loved it that much. It's a great ride as it is in my opinion.
  18. Am I the only one who never got to ride Blazing Fury as a kid who loves it as an adult taking it at face value?
  19. The time savers are AWESOME for the low price of 30 dollars. I recommend them highly for a weekend in summer. In Pidgeon Forge the Dixie Stampede is great and they have some carnivals open pretty late at night.
  20. Same, we did it a ton during Smoky Mountain Christmas at night when we were the only people on the train. The ride ops even took a picture. lol Same here! Thats when I got all my rerides.
  21. They actually let you stay on Mystery Mine for rerides? Dollywood is usually so anal on their no double ride policy that they will run empty trains before allowing you to ride again lol without waiting Of course you can always get off and get in line again Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk They've let me re ride wild eagle at night when it was dead. Same with thunderhead. Sent from my armpit using sweat talk.
  22. They've added the rear of the hot rods since my video as well. I kinda prefer the way it looked without it but that's just me.
  23. Given the progress of testing anyone think they have an idea when we can expect an announcement? I know anything is gonna be pure speculation. I'm getting more excited to ride by the minute.
  24. Holy hell in just a few days its gotten so much faster! IMAGINE OPENING DAY WITH A FULL TRAIN WHEN ITS EVEN MORE BROKEN IN!! I'm now REALLY excited. This is a good sign!!
  25. Number 76 for me. Blazing Fury at Dollywood. In just a few weeks Lightning Rod will be 77 and my first RMC!(:
