  1. Yes yes yesssssssss....feels so good. Would feel even better if I could afford to drop $330 for a ticket to one of the games at Wachovia.
  2. While I'm sure this has nothing to do with a switch, the new OTSR's do have a slight resemblance to NASCAR seat belts, so it ties in with the theming. Moral victories FTW.
  3. In the video, the ride appears to still be hauling some serious ass, so I'm definitely not as bummed/concerned as I was previously.
  4. 1 more win and the Flyers are back to the SCF for the first time in 13 years...lets get it done at home, boys.
  5. And if we're lucky, we might get trimless rides during Hurlfest or any other enthusiast events they have.
  6. The pain suffered during Hercules' lake turn could've been prevented had it been built better, plus I think wood coasters at high speeds are completely different animals than steel coasters are.
  7. I'm curious to how fast the ride goes now...low/mid 80's, or does the thing slow it down even more?
  8. I'm really disgusted with myself for thinking the Orioles could get to .500 this year. Stupid me.
  9. Depending on what phone you use, when you go into the camera there should be an option to pick what size your pictures will come out as (800x600 is the largest and I know 640x480 is another option for mine). Once you email them to yourself or put them on Facebook/Twitter they should come out that size.
  10. What a massive oversight on Intamin's part...how does something like that get through to construction without an engineer thinking "you know, maybe we should stick an extra support or two there"? You'd think they would learn their lesson after all the issues they've had in the past with under-supported rides (Xcelerator and Wicked Twister come to mind).
  11. I might have to rush and move my trip up to next week to get a ride in before this is finished, but even next week might be too late.
  12. I believe that's the case. The thing that gets me is that I bought a golf bag also (through FedEx), which according to that tracking report is about the same size and weight as the package my clubs are in. The bag is coming from some place on the Illinois/Missouri border, which is like 930 miles from here. They shipped it on Monday, and it's going to be here in the next few hours. Long story short, it's going to take UPS the same amount of time to ship something 220 miles that it took FedEx to ship something nearly identical in size/weight 930 miles. Then, to comfort me more, someone showed me a picture of a golf club that they got shipped to them by UPS. It came looking like so: Needless to say, I'm worried now.
  13. You win. For those that think this delay is too long/unacceptable, try being in my shoes. I've been waiting for my local park's newest ride to open for 5 years. Not 2 weeks, but 5 years.
  14. I don't really understand UPS shipping procedures...my golf clubs were shipped from Rochester, NY and taken to Syracuse, which is like 3.5 hours from my house, and it appears to be a straight shot down 81 and then onto 80 to Bloomsburg, which has 2 exits off of 80. Yet, after checking the tracking status, it looks like they took it to Harrisburg, which is about 1.5 hours past my house. I understand that I don't have the only package being delivered, but I'm a tad confused.
  15. It is the actual masturbation that keeps me coming back... haha.
  16. I would hardly consider Storm Runner underrated. It gets its (deserved) share of praise.
  17. Good TR...I can't believe Millennium Force has been around for 10 years, that just blows my mind. I remember one of my relatives from Ohio telling me about it in '99, and then going there the next year to see it was amazing. I hate getting old
  18. They better not be rushing him back. I'd love to have him if we make it that far, but not at the expense of hurting his long term future.
  19. Another quick question because I'm not too familiar with the Golden Nugget...judging by pictures the ride seems to really straddle the line between roller coaster and dark ride. Are there any significant drops or hills or anything, or is this a retro/themed/larger version of a Fiesta Express?
  20. I'm confused...has the test seat had that restraint since opening day, or have they just modified it? I (obviously) see no reason to modify it unless they are changing the OTSR's.
  21. I don't mind the train wraps when, in Shockwave's case, it fits in with the ride's color scheme (or at least comes close). That train looks bad ass because it fits in so well, but then you have El Toro's, which sticks out like an eyesore. If they could've somehow worked more brown/gold into it, it wouldn't be bad at all.
  22. I don't remember if I've ever visited on a weekend or not, but the longest I've ever waited for Talon was about 25 minutes, and that was the year it opened. I can't remember ever waiting more than a few trains for Steel Force either. I must be lucky.
