Yup agreed on the fascination! I definitely like phoenix not only for the airtime but also for the whole real old style roller coaster experience. Ive never been to holiday world yet though I hope to soon but the only wooden coaster ive been on that I would rank higher than phoenix is boulder dash but even that I may change my mind some days you know and el toro is a spot behind both phoenix and boulder dash

just a few tips -Play fascination (in my opinion a slightly underrated aspect of the park -dont eat too much food at once just try and sample everything in smaller portions because trust me youll want alot of food -try and ride all the cool flat rides like the amazing bumper cars, The flying scooters, looper etc. -most of all try not to rush!

When I return next month I guess Ill need to make it on the drop tower one of the only major rides there I haven't been on yet. Great pictures but its hard to restrain myself from joy of impulse construction! I know its not for a while but just the idea of such a cool looking coaster from a great manufacturer in that area of the park is so cool. In my opinion not too big and not too small. Knoebels is simply amazing! ill be going for many years to come!

Yes! Knoebels is just nothing short of amazing bring your dog! try all the food! anything knoebels is just a great place full of great history and amazing flat rides coasters everything just great!

Ive lived in westchester my whole life. Rye is known as perhaps the most wealthy or at least one of the most wealthy community's in the county. Those that live in rye absolutely hate playland and do not have the few historically valuebel rides such as the whip carousel kiddie coaster. They just hate the crowd it attracts. If you've ever been to playland youd know that on most days the crowd is just horrendously rude sometimes which just makes me said. furthermore the whole westchester owning playland thing just nailed the coffin because they abously dont have any idea what there doing I mean honestly the whole situation right now makes me both sad and angry!

Hi I'm John and I am from Westchester County New York otherwise known as where Playland is (im not a huge fan though). I have been a coaster enthusiast since the age of 7 and i've been on the forum for quite a bit of time but only am starting to come on more now. My favorite park is Knoebels and my favorite coaster is Bizzaro (sfne). So just a quick question I'm looking to join the club and seem to have a banner but none of the other perks how could of that happened and thanks in advance and nice to be a true member finally!

Being a new yorker and all the southern ny coasters (except for the dragon and cyclone) are crap as of now this looks great! makes me wonder will it be an enjoyable ride will zamperla be building more of these vertical lift loopers in the future and im sorry if im being ignorant but do we have an opening day?

Hello I am looking to visit Cedar Point this month or next but do not know what hotel would benefit us best. Are the on property hotels worth it, Kalahari, Holiday inn?

Great to see some decent Vekoma coasters that don't require a brace position . Out of curiosity how old is this park it looks pretty fresh? Great report so far!

I think its bizarre that they have like three different renderings of the attraction don't forget that adjacent to this will be the new steeplechase plaza where steeplechase park once was. Steeplechase Plaza will have retail space and will be able to host public performances and will become home to a new carousel as it seems. According to what I've heard this will be part of that whole area.

You want terrible operations one word PLAYLAND! Playland (Rye) is my home park kind of but once I was on their flume and I saw someone sleeping on the job mid ride. They give the slightest tug when they check the restraints and the park is a dump. Honestly if you are in the area only go to this place if its for credits as it is home to two classic coasters. If you want a quality park thats not a Six Flags or Cedar Fair go to Lake Compounce its got charm good rides and even good food.
