  1. Don't have another thread to post these photos so... Polar Explorer just added fog machine. Looks amazing! They run 10 cars on this without stacking which is REALLY rare for a Chinese park. FOTR runs two trains without stacking, Walrus Splash runs six trains without stacking. And I heard from the park that the water on EVERY water related rides are changed continuously. Chimelong bought the world's best water purification equipment from (I think) White Water. Chimelong didn't disappoint on this park. Last Saturday the attendance was around 56,000 and the income that day was around $13 million. Wonder if Kings Island had more attendance and income that day. I assume Ocean Kingdom could break the record of Magic Kingdom on annual visitor attendance? We'll see.
  2. ^ Capacity would be too low. Plus, that much theme doesn't seem like something Cedar Fair would do. Edit; forgot about El Loco could use 8 riders car.
  3. Anything from Justin Bieber, One Direction, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke or any famous song like Gangnum Style after released for two months. Once I heard they played Harlem Shake three times in a row at Chimelong Paradise after the first video released for 6 months. I didn't even feel like riding any coaster that day.
  4. ^ Or both. Vertical chain lift launch. I think coasters with inversion already means not very family friendly. GP would never know that GateKeeper is as thrilling as Woodstock Express before they ride it. So I think a Mega-Lite type ride would be great. Knott's needs a steel coaster that provides a lot of airtime, thrilling enough while doesn't look that thrilling for family. I can imagine the look on face of the kids getting off an Intamin Mega-Lite
  5. ^ Or you can dance with the music like in a night club. You can't always get Intamin speaker Of course you can cover your ears.
  6. 1. Whenever you see certain numbers like 305, 456, 153, 81, 121, 149, 4265, 14, 4003, 169, 6.5 etc, you can relate them to certain coasters. 2. If you are matching them with certain coasters. 3. If you know 305-i305, 456-Kingda Ka, 153-Outlaw Run or NTaG, 81-Outlaw Run or iRat, 121-Takabisha, 149-Formula Rossa, 4265-Wildfire, 14-NTaG or Smiler, 4003-Expedition GeForce, 169-Expedition GeForce, 6.5-Thriller. 4. If you got the majority of them right. 5. If you did some research on RCDB and found Expedition GeForce is 173.9ft tall or you already know it.
  7. Forgot to add Schwarzkopf Shuttle loop, Tower of Terror(Gold Reef City) and Dodonpa.
  8. Why does the original train from Vekoma needs replacement? Has anyone ridden any GIB with the Premier train before this?
  9. ^ Bigger Dive Machines are 47 degrees. SkyRush is 50 degrees which caused the lap bar tightening modification had to be made. I think those El Locos and the Screaming Squirrel death machines could have the steepest non-vertical lift.
  10. ^ Well in America, you guys get i305, MF, TTD, El Toro, Texas Giant, Iron Rattler, Montu, Alpengeist etc etc. Parks focus on different things I think.
  11. ^ Forgot to say, I was talking about a Maurer SkyLoop when I said this idea. The transfer track would locate at the spot with the highest G force. Your idea is very great, but still could be very easy to get rough IMO. I'm thinking about putting the transfer track at the vertical section, which means three tracks parallel to each other.
  12. NTaG, iRat, SkyRush, El Toro, i305, Expedition GeForce, Phoenix, Bizarro, iSpeed, Nemisis, Karacho, T-Express, Lisbergbanan, Olympia Looping, Mindbender(both), Kumba, Dragon Khan(no trim)
  13. Anyone watched the new episode of Devious Maid season 2?
  14. So now this is Intamin cylinder PLUS Intamin cable. Watch out Hope they can manage to open it earlier. Must be one of the most terrifying rides ever.
  15. i used to have that idea and thought it was fantastic. When I said that idea at Magic Springs during last summer's TPR tour, a few members pointed out that the connecting part would get bumpy after years. Maybe something like this could help? Not sure how it would work under the pressure of 6.5G's and 130mph though.
  16. Someone visited on Saturday said the fasted Banshee dispatched he saw was 38 seconds. Is that even possible? Even Bluefire and most German carnival coasters take more than that.
  17. ^ That must be terrifying for the ride ops. Good thing for the riders though.
  18. Why is Tulireki ranked that low? Is it boring?
  19. Besides the Darien Lake thread, I've heard multiple people said Boomerang needs to run two trains.
  20. Things like NTaG accident, Shockwave issue and STR accident happen right before a huge coaster tour and the park chain shut down a similar ride just to show they care about riders' safety. I also think that Six Flags immediately shut down all their rides related to Gerstlauer somehow gave Gerstlauer a bad reputation.
  21. ^ Could be a huge Top Hat with 4 seconds of ejector air.
  22. Here's a crazy idea, move SFMM's Goliath to SFA, build a huge RMC woodie that connects to the Colossus section after finishing the brand new section. SFMM gets even more inversions, SFA gets it's second hyper coaster.
