  1. Is having a detailed knowledge of what constitutes a "hyper" coaster really going to help me get laid tonight?
  2. That was actually a really great video! Is it me or does Sydney just SCREAM "Texas"?
  3. I cant wait until this thing gets enough votes and passes.
  4. Rather ironically, Chiller and GASM were both painted in 2007. Great investments!!
  5. I laughed out loud when I read it. Best one I've read in a while. Pile of gravel FTW!!
  6. Yea, I rode it for nostalgia's sake when I visited SFStL back in 2013. I had only been able to ride it a handful of times while it was in SFGAdv, so it was interesting to relive it.
  7. The haunted house was where the Autobahn was. Chiller's spot was the old Scrambler, Space Shuttle, and smaller Ferris wheel prior to Chiller's addition.
  8. Garden of Eatin' is still regularly used for large functions, including some as recent as Holiday in the Park. Autobahn is also still standing, as are the games and old food stands next to it, but that's about it. Musik Express is completely gone and the Spinmeister area is empty.
  9. GREAT argument for JL:BoM that didn't cross my mind.
  10. The walls for Asylum were removed several weeks ago. A photo was posted several pages back, around the beginning of January. And you're right, it wasn't anything special. Definitely one of the weaker mazes.
  11. It would make sense to keep it. The queue is actually in pretty decent shape having walked through it firsthand last fall for Fright Fest. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. I for one am just excited to see some sort of progress down in the former Old Country section.
  12. In the spirit of "evidence", here's confirmation Chiller's station is, in fact, gone. From GA Roundtable FB page:
  13. You contradict your point several times. If you seriously can't tell when something is worded as fact or when something is worded as rumor then there's just no helping you.
  14. The issue simply boils down to how something gets stated in a discussion. Like everything, it all comes down to communication and the specific words that are chosen. "Blackbeard will be rethemed to Harley Quinn." <-- This implies fact. This implies this statement has factual evidence that can be readily supplied to support it. It could be a press release from the park, a leaked photo or rendering, permits listing the future name, etc. When something is worded as fact, then there should be facts that support it. If not: "I heard that Blackbeard will be rethemed to Harley Quinn." It's not this scenario that people are voicing dissent against - I agree arguing over a retheming on a family coaster is pretty stupid. The issue is larger than that and affects any topic, any discussion involving speculation. When something is worded as a fact, it should actually be fact. Wording rumor or opinion as fact is how bad rumors and misinformation gets spread. Excuse me, are you new to the Internet? MOST people won't know what he meant. MOST people are moronic mouth-breathers who'll repost and restate anything they see on the Internet regardless if it's true or not. Look at political discussions led by memes full of completely incorrect facts. The distinction is ABSOLUTELY necessary.
  15. I know this was intended as a joke, but Dorney Park already has a log flume far superior to STR.
  16. The only coaster I legitimately miss is Chiller w/ lap bars. It's a shame its costs outweighed its benefits. Occasionally I'll have small pangs of nostalgia for GASM and RT, but the world is better off without them.
  17. I don't really care too much about the headrests / not-replaced seats, but the restraints are disappointing. For clarification, my two favorite coasters are Skyrush and El Toro. I think that shows how much more tolerant I am of restraints that many others will decry as "painful". However, I just can't stand the current restraints on Bizarro / Superman. They get jammed so tightly into the middle of my thighs that I'm yelling out in pain at any moment of airtime.
  18. Maverick is my second favorite coaster at Cedar Point. The nice mixture of positive G's, and negative G's is amazing. The second launch is fast, and forceful, and the fast transitions are amazing! I can't wait for 20+ new rides on it this coming visit! Read my edited post, bro... I don't speak this language. The original post is one of my favorite posts ever on this site haha.
