  1. 1 January 1983 Happy New Year, everybody! As you know, Seaside Spot is currently building this massive wooden roller coaster for 1983, Twister Timber! A lot of the ride's layout is in place, but there is still a lot more that needs to be installed. Can't wait to see the finished coaster! It's a nice, cool January day here at Seaside Spot. It's great to see some lines for the rides again. The park is stepping in the right direction! It's also just as great to see Big Dipper with a decent line! That tragic accident is behind us now. Speaking of Big Dipper, the entire ride is now re-painted, including the trains back to a nice, bright yellow and red. Now on to some construction photos! A portion of Parachute Plunge's seating area was removed to make way for Twisted Timber's entrance plaza. This whole area will look much more refreshed this summer. The roller coaster's 95-foot lift hill is topped off! It's a great view from up here! About 50% of the ride's layout is complete. I just can't get over how BIG this ride is! I look forward to it being complete.
  2. 3 September 1982 Wow, this is excellent news! It's such a great sight to see SSTP back on their feet. I look forward to 1983! Here is the concept art for Twisted Timber. It surely takes up a lot of space! I love the amount of low-to-the-ground elements. This will definitely enhance the feeling of speed! The station/brake area This will definitely be a picturesque ride! Now on to photos of the park. It's nice to see more crowds in the park. About half of Big Dipper has been re-painted. Can't wait to see this completed. Here is the site of Twisted Timber. The station is under construction, and track has already gone vertical! This is a big expansion for SSTP. The future looks bright!
  3. ^Really? 400 feet? It surely doesn't look that high. Nonetheless, I love the look of that coaster!
  4. Possibly Adventuredome for the first time this Sunday or Monday.
  5. Whoops, my bad! I probably should have checked that. Tarheel1231 can go.
  6. If that was a guess then you must be the luckiest person alive... (That's correct) Since you are willing to pass your turn on to someone else, may I go?
  7. Best: -Silver Bullet. A nice, forceful helix leading in to the final brakes. Disorienting and fun. -Diamondback. Love the splashdown/final hill. -Banshee. The inline twist is very unique and cool, and the helix is quick and fun too. -Maverick. The Stengel Dive/airtime hill combo is a fantastic ending to an already great ride. Worst: -Adventure Express. Cool lift hill with fun theming that ends with a right turn in to the station. -Millennium Force. The straightaway before the final banked curve kind of ruins the pacing for me. -GateKeeper. I really enjoyed the ride for the inversions and keyholes, but the section after the MCBR is uninteresting and weak. -Coast Rider. The last curve is quite slow, so the final brakes felt pretty unnecessary. Some small bunny hills leading in to it would have been more fun (like most of the normal wild mouse coasters).
  8. ^Agreed. Stand-up coasters hurt me more down there than Green Lantern. All that I find painful after riding GL is the restraint crushing my thighs, but it's still tolerable. I actually like GL quite a bit. It's one of the few rides that still terrifies me a little every time I ride.
  9. I think a GCI would work very well at Dorney Park.
  10. It hangs below the track, it's definitely B&M, and VH already has an invert, so I'm going with a custom B&M Flyer. EDIT: my 600th post!
  11. Interesting news. This makes me wonder how many years Shockwave at KD has.
  12. Surprisingly, I rode Maverick in the rain...in the front row. It was phenomenal.
  13. ^Interesting. But then again, anybody can create or edit a Wikipedia article, so it's probably not a reliable source.
  14. I've ridden a countless number of smooth coasters, but Goliath at SFMM is so smooth it feels like the car hovers of the track.
  15. Didn't Six Flags "call dibs" on X-Flight's layout so it could be cloned at other Six Flags parks? Maybe SFFT will be getting an X-Flight clone? Just a thought.
  16. Eurofighter at Zoosafari Fasanolandia in Italy?
  17. Can you give us a hint, Sneaky? I think we are all totally stumped.
  18. Only if you go La Ronde or Six Flags Mexico! ...or if you are in Southern California.
  19. Iron Dragon--Cedar Point
  20. I'm in my high school marching band program as a Sophomore. This year we're doing "It's Only The Beginning" by Frank Sullivan. Tomorrow is day 4 of band camp, and we are finally gonna start drill! By the way, I'm a euphonium. We have 9 this year!
  21. Journey to Atlantis (SWSD) B&M Wing coaster
  22. This is an issue with the App Store version only, I believe. It is mentioned numerous times in the reviews of the app. Aspyr may fix it in the future (it does get quite irritating) but no worries, it's the app, not your computer. All of us Mac users have to suffer with it
  23. ^Silver Bullet at KBF passes over the midways quite a few times and doesn't have nets. I'd imagine CF would do the same for Valleyfair, assuming they one day get a a coaster that interacts with the midways.
