  1. Sorry, but Cedar Fair sucks at hiding their coaster projects. Gatekeeper and Banshee we're totally obvious before they officially announced them, unlike Holiday World where the announcement was a complete surprise.
  2. ^One train operation on Xcelerator is pretty much the norm now, but it's funny that they are already repairing Silver Bullet's second train. Hopefully it'll be back in use comes WCB, but I'm not going to count on it.
  3. I guess so. I've probably just grown so accustomed to it because 99% of the trip reports/updates on TPR have the caption at the bottom. Like you said, it's personal preference.
  4. 9 April 1983 Today is the day! Seaside Spot's newest attraction, Twisted Timber, is now open to the public! After hearing some reviews of the ride, enthusiasts say it is easily the best wooden roller coaster on the West Coast, if not the whole US. Let's check out some pictures of this new thrill machine as well as Seaside Spot on its 9th operating season! A full train of riders enjoying their thrilling adventure on Twisted Timber! One likable feature of Twisted Timber is the quick, forceful, low-to-the-ground turns through the trees! Also new for 1983 is the Caribbean Cafe! This new eatery is located across the path from the Whirlpool ride. And the view from Caribbean Cove surely doesn't disappoint! Forest Run is quite popular today--a decent line while sending out full trains. The entrance to Lumber Run is filled with families waiting to ride! The recently-added Adventure Eatery is attracting a good crowd. Seaside Spot's tallest and fastest ride, Forest Run, doing its thing. Big Dipper is still quite popular, even after the unfortunate incident and Twisted Timber's opening. It sure is a classic. A full boat of 6 riders getting wet on Seaside Spot's only water ride, Pacific Rapids. The first river rapids ride in the world! The animatronics in Caribbean Cove are quite funny to watch! They definitely add to the atmosphere. And there's Seaside Spot in its 9th operating season. Twisted Timber is a BIG hit (and considered by some as the best wooden roller coaster in the country). Can't wait to come back in the future and see what Seaside Spot has under their sleeve for the coming seasons!
  5. Yay! Construction! Maybe a new flat ride? Water ride? This has my attention.
  6. Great park so far! However, I would recommend putting captions at the bottom of the screenshots, not the top. For some reason it made it a little more challenging to read. Maybe it's just a habit of mine to read captions at the bottom.
  7. The only one on that list I've been on is Mean Streak, but it still doesn't get my vote because of how terrible it is! Do I have to have a favorite?
  8. Mr. Freeze(s) have a shorter ride cycle and longer trains than these Premier coasters, and it manages fine.
  9. I love how the news amplifies everything. "And they were stuck hanging from the track!" which is literally the normal ride position for Iron Dragon.
  10. I too was disappointed by this announcement. However, it seems to be a great area to draw in more families, which means more money for the park, which is a good thing! Hopefully 2016 will bring us a really nice attraction for adults! I can't say much as I've never been to the park and, therefore, don't really know what it was needing. However, I wouldn't say I was disappointed that there wasn't really much for adults except for the drop tower but I do wonder why they couldn't make it just a little taller. I mean, if they're going to add a drop tower, why not make it reasonably tall. Not really complaining, though. This looks like a nice addition. I believe the drop tower they are adding is relocated from Celebration City, so adding height to it wouldn't make any sense unless they just buy a whole new drop tower.
  11. Exactly. SFMM has a few more things to worry about before running out of space for a new coaster/ride.
  12. Fujiyama is the longest roller coaster that doesn't have a MCBR/mid-course lift. Millennium Force is second.
  13. ^^I don't know, a 300+ foot vertical loop would be pretty awesome!
  14. ^Possibly, but I don't think so. It's nothing RMC can't do. It's pretty clear that RMC can do some crazy elements after seeing Goliath and Medusa, and knowing SFMM, they would want to market a "never-before-done element". So Colossus is really open today? That's just sad. Not for those petitioners, though. They probably think it will be staying and their petition worked!
  15. Wow, even with 3 screenshots I can tell you put a lot of effort in to this so far. I look forward to more!
  16. Neat little park--it has some charm. I look forward to what you do with this!
  17. ^^^Interesting. One of the possible endings on that chart is "Colossus", so my guess is "Twisted Colossus", "Screamin' Colossus", or...in true SFMM fashion..."Epic Colossus".
  18. Exactly 3 weeks ago (to the hour!), when my family flew home from our Cedar Point/Kings Island trip. When was the last time you rode a B&M Invert?
  19. 31 March 1983 A statement has been released about the opening of the thrilling new wooden roller coaster, Twister Timber. This is great news! That's just a little over a week away. Let's check up on the construction! It's a beautiful spring day here at Seaside Spot! This is the new Twisted Timber entrance plaza. Oh, is that a train I see on the lift hill? It appears that testing has begun! Only one train is testing at the moment though. The other is waiting on the transfer track. The queue line for Twisted Timber has a little theming too! It feels "woodsy" and mysterious! I like it! Trees have been planted in and around the ride. The ride will be great--twisting around and through the trees. I love the "woodsy" feel of the entrance plaza. Well, opening day is just a little over a week away! I can't wait to ride Twisted Timber!
  20. ^Leaving it as a shuttle is a BAD idea. A total capacity nightmare. At least with 5-6 trains running on a complete circuit track, the capacity is kinda sorta decent.
  21. Just bought my ticket for the Knott's day. Can't wait to experience all the "extras" Knott's is adding in like backstage tours, presentations, etc.
  22. ^^I'm sorry, but I don't understand any of the logic used in this post...
