  1. That festival looks great, and the parks are well chosen. It'll fit in with International Street at KD and KI and with the Jules Verne theme at WoF. But most importantly, it will give people a reason to visit Dorney.
  2. Great report! Fiesta Texas is the shining example of what a Six Flags park can be.
  3. Thanks, I have edited my post to reflect that.
  4. Looks great! Those construction tours are fun, glad you got to go.
  5. I'm with you on that. Wheels turning about an East Coast trip with Carowinds. I've been on a few of Mack's mice, and they're solid rides for the most part, but Time Traveler is in another league. Copperhead Strike looks to be in that same league, and this also looks to be the direction Mack wants to go.
  6. Yes, you mentioned that. What I'm saying is that the app can be wildly inaccurate. I've seen rides disappear from the app and be operating normally that day. It doesn't mean anything other than that SF's app isn't very good. I would caution against basing any logic on what's currently in the app.
  7. That doesn't make sense. It's across the tracks from the Lost River construction site, and that bridge means they pretty much have to keep those tracks there. I don't see the new ride impacting it at all. SDC also takes a year off after a big project, so even assuming it was the next target, FITH would open next year for sure and maybe also '21 depending on the scope of the project.
  8. ^ Read this, forgot to comment. Sorry. I agree with you on Flooded Mine and Fire in the Hole. I noticed the same things and meant to put it in my report, but didn't for some reason. Glad you mentioned it. Everything was running really well. I was especially impressed woth Flooded Mine. A lot of the time I don't bother with the gun because it just doesn't work, but they fixed those, and they worked well, and it was really fun.
  9. The process is automated but somewhat curated. For example, we had some testing and adjusting last year because we had certain rides be super-highly ranked but only had one or two people ranking them. That led us to develop the rule that a coaster's yearly ranking is "provisional" (marked with an asterisk instead of a number on the results) when it has less than a certain number of riders. Soaring With Dragon at Wanda Hefei is an example of one of those coasters. This method produced some really good results last year. I appreciate the effort you put into it; certainly it pays off when all the top rides are legitimately great. Looking forward to this year's results whenever you get it done!
  10. I've become convinced there's no correlation between a ride being listed as closed on the app and being closed irl. I wouldn't read anything into it.
  11. That's a substantial amount of repairs. Very glad they're fixing Justice League especially. It was looking tattered, and it's really still the park's big new attraction. Always has the longest lines of anything.
  12. Oh I don't think anyone here is accusing him of dishonesty. It's absolutely possible for what you honestly believe to be true to in fact be wrong.
  13. ^ On the one hand, that's really insightful and probably correct. On the other hand, he is a Diamond Elite member.
  14. Seconded. Good food, good guy. What's not to love? All of this looks incredible too.
  15. Very nice! Can't wait to see what those look like when they're restored.
  16. I'm going to assume you are getting a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass since you're going to both Kings Island and Cedar Point. With free parking and free admission, yeah Shivering Timbers is worth it. It's not too far out of your way between Sandusky and Chicago.
  17. Nice reports! Looks like a fun new coaster and the surrounding area looks great too.
  18. While I can't say for sure that it's the reason they're running one train, having only one does increase reliability. Outlaw Run had the same issue when it first opened, and when they would run two trains, it had to be timed just right not to trip a sensor. Since the ride time is so short, there wasn't much window to clear the blocks, and if they missed it, the ride would e-stop. Sorry ride ops and former ride ops if I'm butchering the terminology; that's the best I can do to say what OR's ride ops told me. Anyway, LR's ride time is similar, so it's plausible. May or may not be the actual reason, but it does make sense that it could be.
  19. The log flume is the best ride in the park. Also Calico Mine Ride is an amazing dark ride, don't skip it.
