  1. The world is not in need of more homophobic chicken restaurants. Fortunately, there are enough places to eat at Cedar Point that don't involve hating about 700 million people.
  2. Atlantic. 22.593 or 12.634?
  3. There have been some pretty crazy stories from my town over the years. We were the site of the first shootout at high noon, which involved Wild Bill Hickock and served as the archetype for Wild West stories for decades. Later a businessman from Springfield invented Route 66 and pitched it to Congress so it conveniently went directly in front of his department store.
  4. Jennifer Lawrence
  5. Okay. I plan to rent an all day fluffy bunny whenever I go to CP, so that's fine. I think it's likely too; just wondering if we knew for sure whether they would be required.
  6. Mother's "The Great Cobra Scare of '53" Ozarks Style Ale. It's hoppy but also citrusy, like if you mixed equal parts pale ale and shandy. I like it. If you want to read up on the origin story for the odd name, here's an article from Atlas Obscura.
  7. They did, in 2013. Why isn't uphill skiing an Olympic event?
  8. I seriously thought you were talking about IKEA at first... Plot twist: the coaster is actually manufactured by IKEA. Six Flags will begin assembling it in-house soon and probably won't finish until Spring of next year. Nah, it'll take until spring of next year just to find the Allen wrench. October 2019 they'll call every friend and family member to see if they know how to put it together, and by March 2020 they'll just give up entirely and go buy a real bookshelf instead.
  9. No, I get up at 5:30 on weekdays. Have you ever been on an Omnimover ride?
  10. Does that mean required fluffy bunnies?
  11. Cat. They can take care of themselves. Stick or log?
  12. "We Could Be Free"--Vic Mensa feat. Ty Dolla $ign Fair warning: explicit language, explicit violence, and explicit message of equality. Preach, Vic. This is what we need to hear. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  13. I had good luck with Red Carpet Inn Wrightstown near Fort Dix. Reviews were mixed, some people said there were cleanliness issues, but it was cheap and close, so I took a chance and lucked out. The room was not fancy but fine. They don't have breakfast but there is a Wawa about a mile down the road.
  14. Very nice, interesting that lines were so long, maybe the Pier being closed is driving those times. Anyway, it worked out fantastically, woot! Oh, and I totally approve of the War on Drugs shirt. Not good policy, but good music.
  15. Totally gotta go with Deep Underground, for the theme.
  16. I predict there will be zero non-employees at the park on Feb. 24th.
  17. Boysenberry beer is worth all the hype. Too bad you didn't get to ride Xcelerator or Montezooma's Revenge, those are great. I agree that Silver Bullet is way underrated. I rode it more than anything else except Ghostrider last time I was there. Great start to the report, and looking forward to your Disney time next.
  18. We'll be there opening week on Friday. I work 4x10 with Fridays off and my wife is taking the week off work since the kids are out of school. Looking forward to it. If TT isn't open, whatever, I can go ride Outlaw Run. I like that they're being cautious about promising opening day, but they've also been working really hard to get it ready by then.
  19. Agreed. Banshee, Diamondback, Nitro, Silver Bullet, Valravn, and all the NA wing coasters are some of the very best coasters I've been on, yet I've heard several enthusiasts call them "forceless." While not the intensity of Batman or Raptor, they're still really fun. You can do far worse than a B&M, and just about every park's maintenance staff will tell you you can't do any better than them.
  20. Pretty much best idea ever right here. No need for that sentence to go on at all. But you know, why don't they just call up Hopkins and have them build a log flume with their newfound space?
  21. Awesome info, thanks! I knew I could count on a native Portlandian for transit directions. Noted for when I eventually get out there.
  22. How awesome. Knoebels does all kinds of stuff I've never seen any other park do, and it leaves me wondering why no one else does.
