Knoebels Discussion Thread

If impulses has its single rider line open, you've got to use it!! It may be open and yet look closed, we the ride op at the gate tends to place their stool in front of it, so make sure to ask. In May I got 4 rides in about 10 min using it!!! -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
Brassinthegrass replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Last ride of the season was a back seat ride on the Coney Island Cyclone. As Robb has said, a religious experience! -
Not nessesarily, it just means that they like the work that they have done and that they think they are doing great things in the industry. I think we are going to see cedar fair watch their products for a little longer... You have to remember that all of their products are a very new style of building wooden coasters, and they want to see how they age. Look at Ingamins pre-fab woodie design, they thought of the idea of making it easier to maintain, but great adventure still puts tons of money in to keep it up to its awesome level.

To be fair, could we be seeing a redesign of the lake front woth shops and dining and the free spin at the B&R spot? To be fair, we havnt seen ANY track or construction materials anywhere yet.... All we know is that the show stands have been (or are) knocked down and that they got approval of a new coaster for 2016...

It was amazing,Mae went with 4 and it was the largest hotel of our trip! Highly recommend, not only for the newly renovated room, but the location to two entrances to the park, and the amazing view from our room! -

We went for the first time in Juky and stayed at the breakers, it turly was an amazing experience... We even got upgraded to a 9th floor room facing the park! -
I must say, it's very interesting how we argue here sometimes... If we get a coaster at a park, we complain about the layout and how "we could have designed it better" and how "it's not what they really need" when we get a flat ride we complain that we really needed a coaster. I think it's important that for parks to be successful they have to apeal to every demographic... You need the rides to keep the little kids happy, all the way up to the old retired people that want to see a great show! With that in place, not every addition needs to be a major skyline changing ride, nor does it need to push the boundaries of what the thrill ride design can go. A perfect example is Cedar Points new ride. It's not going to push the boundaries very far, but it will draw in the crowds, which is what they need to do. KD is a great park, I went twice this summer for the first time ever. I must admit I felt that the park was very well balanced, they have three woodies, and a slew of great steel coasters, as well as a great line up of flat tides, ranging from carousels to one of the tallest drop towers in the world... The park is truly not in DIAR need of anything! Do we have pipe dreams in what we want to see in the park, yes,mom course! But that's the same thing as an NFL fan complaining about the newest trade, or recruit from Penn State! I'm going to take a page out of Robb's post on the coaster count thread: we need to spend more time enjoying the great parks that we have then complaining about them not putting in the newest biggest baddest ride year after year!
