For all we know, it's possible that the funeral for this gentleman is on Tuesday... If you want to think about terrible news headlines like "Cedar Point announces new Roller Coaster on the same day as its first fatal accidents guest is laid to rest" sounds pretty shitty.... The change is date of the announcement is not going to change the fact that there is a new ride for next season...

^you could if you moved the fence farther away from the track... But I don't think it's fesable.. In regards to the announcement, I think that's a smart move... Terrible PR if they kept it next week, too soon... But I am sure we will see construction continue on schedule, which probably means WE (coaster enthusiasts) will see track, and have a pretty solid idea of what is going on before the announcement... It's the right things to do for the park, and for all the parties involved in this tragic accident. I'll ask a question I've read a few times in the past pages that I haven't seen answered, is this the first death at a Cedar Point?

It's really sad. You would think knowing a multi ton train is flying around close to the ground, with giant fences and signs that say "RESTRICTED AREA: DO NOT ENTER" would be enough... But once again humans are a dumb species... Was he by himself at the park? He must have been, I don't know any group of people who would see that and not have at least one person say "bad idea." Or worse, was he with a group and the ENTIRE group said "yea, you got this" and he jumped the fence with them all watching...
