Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread
Brassinthegrass replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I find the idea of a B&M as a pipe dream for Kennywood. Granted holiday world pulled Thunderbird out of NOWHERE, but I still feel like I pricetag that high is questionable for Kennywood. -
The only piece of advice I can give you is that camps usually leave the park between 3&4. Coming from long island, over the past few years we would show up around 1 or 2, do the safari and then hang for the night for what seemed to be quiet crowds during the week. However I do agree, crowds at great adventure make no sense. Ever.

I want to make sure I understand that for my trip in August. We have platinum passes based out of Dorney, but your saying that if I wait until day of at CP I can get platinum fast pass for be price of regular? -

You may want to leave ok into a season pass at that point.... it may pay for itself... -

I will say this is exciting, but I’ll miss the mid afternoon nap I took on that grassy section in the middle of the park. Getting to watch the reflection of a great arrow suspended coaster fly by was very enjoyable -

Maybe the bugs are the reason we don’t see this... One of my favorite pass times when I went to CP was listening to the horrid screams from windseeker after dark! -

I have a great post from my Major 8 day trip I did a few years ago with the same idea (only backwards) complete with hotels and I think restaurants. When I get home I’ll share it with you! Edit: here you go! www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=70554&hilit=8+days+90+coasters -

Are we thinking that SteVen will be a people eater? Three trains is always better than two, but I’m thinking about how slow other RMC rides seem to load... -
Knoebels Discussion Thread

I agree. I took my boyfriend to Knoebels this summer for his first visit and I told him nothing about the park except that the food was amazing and that it was very unique. He couldn't get over how unique it was especially the way you just walk into the park and how there is a road down the center of it. Parts of this park I hope never change, and I think if the owners stay the owners it never will! -

Just rewatched the SteVen videos and had a thought... I hope the red lights on the front of the train light up at night. It would make for some awesome night shots as well as help it stand out even more on the panorama shots of the park at night -
I know it's close proximity, but could we be looking at an accelerator style ride? Kingda Ka is only a few hours up I-95, but a 300ft tower with massive airtime at the top could be an intire different experience. Especially if they add a huge loop after the tophat... this would explain the 300ft height with the limited footprint ideas...

Nitro: Traffic is what it is on 95, but the ezpass express lanes will save you some time. Eat at jakes place or Bojangles (if you haven't been there before) in Ashland (one exit south on 95) We hit volcano, flight of fear, intimidator, anaconda, and the back lot coaster within the first 50 min of the park being open last Tuesday... lines were silent all day! Hope this helps!
