I can see a possible pavilion upgrade, with new facilities (restroom, food, drink etc.) and a possible patio area next to Midway Market/Raptor. -

^I'm almost certain they were pertaining to the attendance, and other factors. Not the physical size of the park. :/ A 900,000 acre park with 5 carnival rides and 10,000 visitors is still considered a "small" park. -
Mean Streak. What to do with it?

A layout re-design with topper track is the way to go! -
Ahh! This park is gorgeous! The layout & small-sized charm is truly unique. I simply can not get enough. KiddieLand is 100% perfect, I especially love the conservative use of the bathroom underneath the Slide. The M&P mining area was a great investment. Mine Train Trouble is short & sweet, with some decent theming. An excellent thrill coaster choice. Miner's Nightmare fits so snug into the tick vegetation, I really like that look. This should turn out to be a excellent year for attendance, hopefully profits will break even. Just keep doing what you're doing.

This is a nifty little park. This last update was marvelous, especially when compared to the previous ones. You've definitely improved your work. I'm going to offer some constructive criticism. Just a few pointers to transform a B product into an A product. There is one thing that really irks me though. This park doesn't give off any type of vibe, at all. I only see rides being torn down and then replaced in every update and nothing else. What else does Paramount Town Lake / Town Lake have to offer besides new rides? Are there any food vendors? What are the popular rides? What rides are unreliable? Any special events? How's the attendance? Answering questions like that would make for a great update IMO, rather than the usual 'new ride this year, and ___ was torn down'. Overall, I genuinely did enjoy reading through this thread, I just wish I knew more about the park. The more recent attractions, such as Dinosaurs Alive & Boomerang Bay are my favorite additions. Use them to your advantage (expansion). You could also go more in-depth with the two since there is plenty to be offered by both. Again, a look inside the park would be nice since we never see anything besides new attractions. I would also greatly appreciate if you'd try to slow down with the big coasters. I know they are the kings of amusement parks, but not every park needs to be a MM carbon copy, filled to the brim with mega-million dollar coasters. That idea has plagued the RCT community. -_- This park could really benefit from some smaller, moderate sized roller coasters (Balder, Lightning Run etc.). The current ones look out of place* *(IMHO: Blue Thunder needs to go)* A flat ride package is something this park could also benefit from. Also, Boa/Coil is a real diamond in the rough. I find this ride to have great potential, and you should really show it off more. Looking forward to more Boomerang Bay & Dinos! And where's Banshee? Overall +Kids area & Dinosaurs Alive show that there is potential growth in the family market ( more family rides) +Boomerang Bay also reinforces that^, and shows that this could be an all-day type of park. (hotel or possible concert venue) +Throw in some rides that will really draw attention, while still being feasible (200' drop tower perhaps) +Mine coaster area has potential +Boa/Coil converted into an indoor / themed coaster is something to look into +The natural water creates numerous possibilities, use everything to your advantage! P.M. me if your looking for any help. -

I said close. It's certainly more than just 4, probably somewhere near 4.5. -

Intamin steel coasters are limited to 5 gs. Kingda Ka, Top Thrill Dragster, Skyrush & Xcelerator are just a few that are close to this figure. -

Odd -- I was browsing that exact same video today as well . ..... would have been very cool to ride over the top at that speed. Over, even better, Xcelerator at the testing speeds show in that video above -- WOW. Wow! That is at least -.5g -
When will Cedar Fair finally partner with RMC?
JonnyRCT3 replied to adamd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dinosaurs Alive, Fast Lane, a Windseeker, Splashdown element, 200' woodie, The Bat, King Cobra; it's certainly not the only "test park" in the chain. It is however, prone to gimmicky attractions that eventually find their way to other parks in the chain. With that being said, I do not believe this will be the first park to receive a RMC refurbishment. -

Kings Island has always been the "test park" for just about everything. Even before Cedar Fair. -

Friday, June 6, 2003 Max Sherman (19) - Kid Town Market cashier Hello, Max Sherman here (left). I'm filling in for Devin Smith, he's feeling a bit under the weather this week. Anyways, on to the update!! Déjà Vu, Valley Hills' most problematic attraction. Not only did it have a delayed opening in 2001, it still manages to frequently stall and have mechanical issues. However, Déjà Vu is a huge crowd draw, so the investments does pays off. Elsewhere in the park; Kanawha Railway experienced an unfortunate event. The chain on the second lift hill finally called it quits after 31 years. A new chain is expected to arrive on Wednesday, and the ride should be up and running by Friday. Today was an excellent day to take a splash on Blackwater Falls. This has become a rare site, as management has been tight on budgets this season. Blackwater Falls is a pricey ride to operate due to all the pumps and water treatment involved. Bonus shot, atop RattleSnake's lift. Courtesy of our wonderful maintenance crew! Uncle Joe's Churros has become a huge success at Six Flags Valley Hills, even with the increased prices this season. Most guests are unaware of the extreme ejector air in the back seat of Black Stallion. Attendance figures went down 7% last season when compared to 2001. Attendance this year has gone up 6% when compared to last year. We haven't broke even yet, but this season looks promising so far. My personal favorite ride at Six Flags Valley Hills is Batman: The Ride. Six inversions of pure adrenaline! Bonus shot 2, atop Parachute Tower. Hopefully our maintenance crew can do something about Superman's swaying, it has become an engineering nightmare. -Max Sherman -

Yes, Valley Hills is back! Thank you. I've always have 5 year plan, and a 10 year outlook to make sure everything flows well. I'll consider this. However, the ride (as of now) was just a simple relocation, and thank you.
