Photo TR: The 2007 Florida State Fair
Homer replied to live2tell75's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I get emo every time I see pictures of the Florida State Fair, I beg my parents every year since I was like 9 to go yet we never go. "Wait for the county fair!" they'd say... At least my county fair is in a month... Great TR that makes me emo... -
Another tower defense game? Darn you Robb! Forgot my high score though, but it was 4000 something... curse these tower defense games for being so addicting.

Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread
Homer replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Six Flags St. Louis announces Tony Hawk's Big Spin... at least its not Rocket Power: The Ride, rite? Well, at least SFStL finally got a new roller coaster and again I'm not fond of the Tony Hawk theme. But whatever to boost attendance from "families." -
'Mountain of Trash' Inside Car Blamed For Accident Looks like I'll have to dig up one of Erik's old Photo TR's of when he finds messy cars in the parking lots. I think we have a winner here, folks. And remember, don't be lazy, clean up after youselves!

10 Greatest RIDES.....Ever?
Homer replied to BeemerBoy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Although I think this has been mentioned before, I have to give props to SheiKra. I am not in the mood right now to compile a list of my opinions... SheiKra- more than just a dive and a turn When SheiKra was announced back on October 27th, 2004, enthusiasts were in awe of what Busch was doing and that a rumor from BGTGuide actually came true . Beforehand, Dive Machines were seen as a drop and a turn, a rather disappointing ride that was too expensive for many parks' budgets and were seen as one trick ponies to attract guests. But with SheiKra, it proved the Dive Machine could do more than that and added many unique elements to this once "mediocre" design. An Immelman than provides (what Wes calls it) "Yay!" airtime. Then major huge ejector air on a second "vertical" drop (its actually 83.5 degrees). After that, B&M implemented a water splash, something that was in the blueprints for Oblivion, but later scrapped. Following that, the ride died with a boring helix. However, Griffon will steal the spotlight from SheiKra soon, but SheiKra will always remain the revolutionary one since Griffon is basically SheiKra with a different layout and trains. Oh yeah, the trains had tilted back stadium seating, which gave a floorless enough experience without all of the expensive hydraulic doodads. Regardless, SheiKra will always be a revolutionary coaster.[/b] -
I'm pretty sure everybody here is familiar with Homestar Runner and Teen Girl Squad right? If not, then Teen Girl Squad is the awesomest comic ever made, ever. Since Valentines Day is near, they did a valentines day special. However, I think one thing stands out... the first guy, I swear, looks EXACTLY like Joe minus the quad-boobs... http://www.homestarrunner.com/tgs12.html I wish I could post a picture of it, however, the school's Compy 386's only save in .BMP format. [EDIT: lol, its joe... Joe minus quadboobs = well, Joe minus quadboobs...

To further elaborate on kraxle's statement, Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags over Georgia was made for the park's terrain. However, Six Flags saw the success of the flying coaster, and decided to clone it at two other parks as new additions. The SFOG is also different in the way that it has a (rarely used) dual station. However, the rides at SFGAdv and SFGAm have a single station with an extra row on the trains. Also, the SFGAdv and SFGAm versions have a redesigned pretzel loop that restricts some G-forces with a place on the loop to install trim brakes (however Six Flags doesn't use them). Are you talking about that one flyer at Chimelong Paradise in China? That we're not sure about... does anybody know Manadarin Chinese around here? I can assume that Superman: Ultimate Flight is to B&M Flyers as Batman: The Ride is to B&M Inverts. In other words, they are both stock model clones. And to the original poster, please improve your grammar and English skills, thats why you take an English class.

Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread
Homer replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The main question for me is, will there be a border crossing scene in which the boat is submerged in water and speeds up a little, to simulate crossing the border while being chased by border partol? -
Your favorite/best looking park entrance!
Homer replied to zingo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For me, I would have to say Islands of Adventure. Port of Entry is a nicely themed area. -
My coworker Kevin, TWO weeks in a row that we can't go Laser Tagging because of him. Last week, "Hay guyz, I have family meeting on Saturday." This week, my friend Julio was going to meet up with Kevin at Panera because Julio's car was in the shop. So, Kevin said, "Alright, I'll be there at 8 PM SHARP!" ...an hour passes, Kevin is nowhere to be seen... Next week, that asshole ain't going laser tagging with us.

Paramount Parks Re-name game
Homer replied to carolinacaniac's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They aren't actually changing the names of any of the rides. When Cedar Fair bought the chain, they also bought the rights to Nickelodeon and movies that the rides are themed to. They are just talking about what they would change the rides to if they were to ever change them, or whenever the contracts expire. No, I thought CF bought the rights to Nick themes as well to use in their own parks (since, well, nobody under the age of 10 is a fan of Snoopy). -
Ghost Town In The Sky Discussion Thread
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I bet you its probably going to be one of those ARM towers like at Cypress Gardens. I would not expect much, but sounds great for a park bound to reopen. At least they didn't pull off a Cypress Gardens and have fifty carny-ish looking rides announced, such as the "Science Project Flyers." -

The Official Nintendo Wii Discussion Thread
Homer replied to MiamiBoii4392's topic in Random, Random, Random
I was *SO* close to a Wii today. I waltzed in to my local EB as usual on my break and noticed there were black DS lites on the shelf. I was hoping by some slim margin there would be one Wii left or something. There wasn't . Here's hoping that Monday has a shipment at my local EB! -
Paramount Parks Re-name game
Homer replied to carolinacaniac's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think Top Gun should be renamed Bench: The Ride. -
Correction: for public schools [not colleges], its always the last week of March/first week of April.

I have a Creative Zen Micro (6GB) with a pair of Philips earbuds that I got for cheap. It seems like my Zen Micro's headphone jack has something wrong with it though... however I use my PSP [1 GB] as a backup in a way.
