8 cars Trainer
Homer replied to Eric_Smith's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Or you can use the handy Alt+tab Good lord you people like to compicate things. You can just press the "Windows" key at the lower left edge of the keyboard to exit a program! Anyways, yeah. Time for the Stupid Newbie Questions about 8cars tutorial. 1. Load up RCT2 and open up the park you are working on. 2. Minimize your park by pressing the Window's key on the lower left side of your keyboard. 3. Once you have minimized your park, open up 8cars Per Trainer and mess around with the stuff. 4. Once you are done messing around, the window for RCT2 should be near the Start button. Click on the window that says RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 and your park should pop back up, but with the hacks you have done (Usually a message on the bottom pops up once you have hacked a park). 5. Enjoy, you now have basic knowledge of 8cars! -
A new monitor is bound to cost you $175 up. However, I have not had a problem with my Westinghouse 19" LCD monitor that I got at Best Buy as a Christmas gift. Go with the Westinghouse brand at Best Buy if you want something decent that is cheap.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^It could be another Intamin Fart coaster ! Seriously, it looks like it says "Mart" on the side. But who cares about a small detail only enthusiasts would notice and talk about on a roller coaster forum, right? -
I would put in a vote for Disney World, the thrills are a bit lower than IOA/USF, but they are still fun. Especially at MGM, where you have Good Tower and RNRC. Epcot has Mission: Sinese, Animal Kingdom has Everest, and Magic Kingdom has Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain.

Gah, people need to learn how to read. YOU get to control how I get to play the game. Which is why right now I'm telling people to choose which premade character I should play as and what to name them.

Aww, come on folks, you know you want to play Thrillville with me. At least I'm not Barry, or Jeff Johnson .

The Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Discussion Thread
Homer replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awesome, I remember going on Magic back in 1999, glad the cruise business is sailing smoothly for Disney! I hope I could take another Disney cruise one of these days! -
FYI, technically, photo class isn't always digital. I bet the first class of photo would be basic 35mm technique, development, and an overall introduction. Anyways, as stated, a number of reasons. Also, does your camera have an optical zoom? Digital zooms on cameras tends to make the picture look a little pixelated.

Best TR of the month, it had Engrish, Intamins, and weird asian stuff. I swear, the Half Pipe looks JUST LIKE Elitch Gardens' Half Pipe, creepy!

Credit for the inspiration of this topic would have to go to the Games forum at SomethingAwful, which are full of "Let's Play" threads. What is a lets play thread? Its where I play a game, BUT, YOU control the outcome with your requests! So, the other day, thanks to a nifty $40 bonus, I picked up ThrillVille for my PSP and using a screen capture program on the PSP, we can finally play ThrillVille together! So, here's update number one! Now, lets choose our character! Should I be some white kid, a black guy, a little girl, What should I name him/her... This is where YOU play! *cough*, You're in charge of Thrillville now... *cough* KABLAM! Bet you didn't see that coming... I'm fancy, doing the Pinky thing. Kids, you see, managing a theme park is serial business. 1.21 GIGAWATTS! FLUX CAPACITOR! No, wait, its Doc from BTTF! Oh, I know who that guy is! Its Paul Reuben! 8 people have died on Roller Coaster 1. Homemade theme park? I know this guy, it has to be that guy in Indiana! Haha, midget... Movie time! Hey, who is this Willy Wonka ripoff? Thrillville? I haven't heard of this place. Is it right next to Disneyland? Hey look, the Start screen. [i was going to upload a GIF of the Frontier logo, too big ] Oh, its just the LucasArts logo. NO HEAD ON COLLISIONS! Epileptics, Ye Be Warned!

We know that our site has literally become a "mecca" of sorts in the coaster world. Whether it is for humorous videos, talking to other enthusiasts, or looking at TR's of random crap. Eventually, some stuff may get stolen over time, notably videos from our site being posted on YouTube without R&E's permission or even credit! So, if you're reporting something, give a link to the stolen material here. However, one rule, NO BASHING WHATSOEVER! It, in the long run, ends up giving our site a bad rep. We want to give the thief a bad rep, not us. YouTube has become a cesspool of stolen stuff, however, its inevitable. Found two videos on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xFySJ37B_k -SFGAdv 2002 POV's, complete with music and credit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJFSZg_Yn60 -A lazy editing job of putting together ALL of the SFGAdv 2002 POV's, the Hersheypark vid, and the IOA video together. Result? A stolen trainwreck thats funny for bad editing. And it looks like they both came from the same kid too. http://www.youtube.com/user/CrazyCoasterFan EDIT: Found a B&R:Chiller video.

Photo TR: Montu has a new coat of paint! (Completed)
Homer replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Busch, why? -
All I can say is, avoid I-4 during rush hour at ANY area between Tampa and Orlando. Construction is STILL going on there and some traffic jams can make a 1/2 hour drive into 2+ hours. However, as stated above, its easy to get to BGT. From Orlando, take I-4 to the I-75 exit, head NORTH on 75, then the next exit [Fowler Ave.], take that exit and bear to the left (the road forks there on that exit). Get to the left lane on Fowler Ave and a few miles down the road should be signs for BGT. Once you see McKinely Blvd., turn left and BGT should be down the street. Those directions simple enough?

Photo TR: Montu has a new coat of paint! (Completed)
Homer replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Montu looks sexy again, however no on-ride photos bugs me. Bravo Busch, now do what I've been asking for like the past 3 years... RETRACK GWAZI! As for those weirdo mascot thingies, I've seen them a few times before over the years. Genericized mascots Busch must have made up before they decide to toss in Elmo and Co. As for that Scorpion picture. Erik, you should have came to the park on December 27th, 2006. It was organized chaos. That queue house was like, 3/4 full! Also, other infamous moments where I could rant on about that day was the congested pathways, even some stupid mom changed her baby in the middle of a congested pathway... Great update, Erik. You reminded me to stay away from Busch for another few months. -
Minor update... Victory for me! Looks like I taught him that plagarism is a serious crime too. And everybody, the bashing was not really necessary.

My SheiKra video [the original] The STOLEN video. Well, I was browsing YouTube looking at new BGT videos and I stumbled upon this (after watching a camel sex video, better than turtle sex ). On a serious serious note, I noticed that my SheiKra video has been stolen. With the use of cutting edge technology from Microsoft's fine Movie Maker program, adding a title and chopping off my credits to neuter my video and claim it as his own. I posted that same exact video in the Amateur forum last Februrary. I got a YouTube account over the summer and that was my first video that I uploaded. Any good legal action I could take?

Theme Park Review's 2007 Group Trips!
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I feel your pain man, however you have to learn patience and make sure your parents aren't those nazi type that think EVERY person on the internet is a pedophile [like Barry]. Seriously though, consider any of the trips coming when you turn 18, that way you won't have to worry about your parents and you have more freedom. I'm tempted to do the east coast trip too, but I'm sure money will be tight... -
Are your posts really necessary around here? That was what this entire thread was about in the first place. Next time you post someplace, heck, anyplace, READ! Oh yeah, the creepy looking woman that sung "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?" will always be etched into my mind for its hilarity.

Happy Birthday TPR Forums!
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It seemed so long since TPR used to piggyback off of Westcoaster's boards. But damn, its been two years, I've met more enthusiasts here than on any other forums, I still see the same people posting here every day like nothing has changed. I've rarely seen any members get banned up until the Spambot issue rose up. If anything, this forum is the most laid back and enjoyable forum I have ever posted at. Also, this forum doesn't seem as cluttered as other coaster forums as well. I guess those are the reasons why I still post here. Thank you Robb and Elissa, for creating probably the best coaster community out here! You forgettin' Westcoaster? -
Funniest warning/admin edit of the day.

This was last sunday while I was working at Panera. I had some creepy Asian kid that looked like he was 16 or so by himself, picking up his food. He kinda had this creepy vibe to him, but I didn't know why. Ten minutes later I was sent on break, I had my food then walked over to the EB Games next door. I was looking at DS games until suddenly I see the creepy Asian kid playing on the Xbox 360 demo stand. He was playing this one pretty-looking "Asteroids" like game and it was a timed demo... for about 2 minutes I heard; "OH SCHWEET! POWER UP! YEAH! BLAST SHIPS!" And then, when the last seconds were near, he counted down REALLY loud... "SIX, FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE! OVER!" Remind me again why I stay away from anime-club nerds...
