Might I put a few questions out there for those whom were at No Coaster Con: Return of popular shows- Did they make mention of which ones? What did they mention about Raging Bull? The 3-point shootout sounds very similar to the attractions at Cedar Point and King's Island. They always seem to attract people at those parks, so I'm sure they'll be fairly successful at SFGAm.

^ As does Expedition Everest (AKA Mount Everest by the GP) The backwards dark helix is simply AMAZING!

Has anyone ridden Colossus at Thorpe park? If so, how is the ride? I mean, it is only 90 some odd feet tall and reaches 45 mph, so how are the inversions. Also, is it like inversion after inversion, or are there moments of airtime and such along the way? Is it a good ride, or is it something that was thrown together to get 10 inversions in. I never hear discussion on rides like these 2, so I was just really curious.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

I get people all the time at my water park that ask me if the tube slides go upside down. O.o -
I'm not so sure about that. Bass Pro Shops are the best THEMED stores I have ever seen. To take the theming from their stores and infuse it into a theme park, and include their signature restaurant: Islamorada Fish Co. would be a real winning concept IMO. (minus the shopping part of it, maybe just include the general store part as a shop within the park)

^ I agree whole heartedly. I work at an indoor water park of middle-size near Chicago. We are there specifically for hotel guests and groups, but also for walk-ins. However, during busy periods, like the week between Christmas and New Year's, we closed to outside visitors to allow our hotel guests the most enjoyable experience possible. That could also have to do with our resort being operated by a high-class management resource and the fact our park is at a Sheraton hotel...

Is Kings Island's ticketing the same as it was under Paramount? -
Disney expanding into Canada?
WildStangAlex replied to larrygator's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I must agree that this will probably be more of a Disney Quest type place, or even just a Disney Vacation Club resort. Those seem to be popping up all over the place, so why not Canada, eh? -

It has so many similarities to Top Gun, er, flight deck?...er...Afterburn? um yeah. It looks a lot like the arrow suspended coaster in the front part of King's Island. Especially how it climbs the lift immediately following the station. -
Honestly I do not see what people see in Navy Pier. I suppose it is a "must see." However, if you must see it and are going to be there anyways, I strongly encourage you to take an architecture cruise on Sea Dog. It is a fantastic tour, but you also get the incredible rush of the Sea Dog out on Lake Michigan first. Also, if you want to go up in a tall building, the John Hancock has much better views (e.g. Lake Michigan) that the Sears does. I love the Art Institute of Chicago, and Millennium Park is awesome, (and FREE!) If you are looking for great Chicago cuisine, your best two bets are Portillo's for a hot dog or Italian Beef, or Gino's East for the best Deep Dish pizza you will ever eat. Both are located right near the intersection of Clark & Ontario, walking distance from North Michigan Ave, Millennium Park, and the John Hancock. Gurnee Mills is amazing. It is gigantic and if possible spend 1/2 a day not dedicated to SFGAm there, because there is so much to take in. Within the mall there is a movie theater, ice skating rink, laser tag, arcade games, and 2 major food courts! You may also want to check out Key Lime Cove, which is opening across from SFGAm. You may not be able to enter because you are not staying there but it looks AWESOME and opens in March I believe. If there is anything I can help you with in the Chicago area, don't hesitate to let me know. Oh and by the way, bring lots of money for tolls, and if possible take the back entrance to SFGAm right off of IL 21 on Washington Street. It is really cool to drive through American Eagle and there is never a line to get in back there, and often times you get better parking spots. HAVE FUN!

Eh, it looks alright. Honestly I really prefer the Kalahari in Sandusky and the original Wilderness Resort -
The Wisconsin Dells is known to be the water park capital of the United States, or even the world for that matter. Resorts like the Great Wolf Lodge, Kalahari, and the Wilderness line US HWY 12 in Lake Delton and Wisconsin Dells, WI. Now, for the first time, the owners of the biggest WI Dells resort, the Wilderness, are opening a new resort. This new location is to be in Sevierville, TN, very near Dollywood, Splash Country, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This is part of the city's new Bridgemont Events and Entertainment destination. Opening this summer is a hotel attached to the new events center. Then later, a condominium hotel with indoor water park will be opening. There are also real estate opportunities with the building of the condos.
