  1. My friends went on Runaway Mine Train at SFGAdv this past May on a Friday afternoon and were allowed a few rerides in a row without having to get out of the train. I guess it was because the crowds were pretty light that day. I remember riding Runaway Mine 2 years ago and was also allowed a few rerides. Then again I remember the crowds being pretty light that day and having really nice ride ops.
  2. Man pretty bummed that Skyrush will be closed for the rest of the season. I was really looking forward and planning a trip out to Hershey in October so I can ride it before any type of adjustments may of been made. I just hope that they won't change the design of the Seat Restraints totally and it is still a lap bar restraint.
  3. Wood: El Toro Steel: Green Lantern (SFGAdv)
  4. Yea not really into all of the Fright Fest things anyway, it just happens to be we are going to the Hershey Bears game on the 27th and the park will be open that day so it works out. Hopefully, we won't have to worry about it being cold since we will be out of the park before 6 anyway. Or hopefully there aren't any surprise snowstorms coming that weekend....
  5. At least the two sides are going to attempt to meet with each other on Friday
  6. ^That sounds amazing!!! I wonder if you would be able to use that with a Preview Plan ticket? Possibly going to Hershey October 26th to October 27th and would love if this was included with the Preview Plan. Another question is how crowded is Hershey the last weekend of October? I have never been there around that time of year.
  7. I feel like this Lockout will last a few months at least. Definitely disappointed and sad as of right now, not having any NHL games to look forward to. However, the Hershey Bears are one of my favorite AHL teams as well as the Albany Devils (Big NJ Devils Fan) and they play in Hershey on October 27th and HersheyPark is still open. So as of right now I'm trying to convince my parents to drive out to Hershey for the weekend. That is the only positive side of the lockout at the moment for me.
  8. My friend is trying to talk me into going to Fright Fest because it would be her first time at Six Flags and she wants to ride all of the rides and experience Fright Fest. I haven't been to Fright Fest before but I figure it will be very crowded almost like a summer day? Im trying to convince her of going on one of the Sundays during Fright Fest and telling her that we should arrive right when the gates open. This way we can get to do all of the rides and hopefully get reruns before it starts to get more crowded in the afternoon. This way we will have all of the rides done by the time Fright Fest starts and just walk around not worrying about waiting. Would that be better off then just arriving to the park in the early afternoon hoping to get all the rides in?
  9. This past year my mom and I tried to limit our time to 3 hours at Knoebels so we can drive back to the hotel in the dark but we ended up staying much longer! You can't really plan on what to do when you go to Knoebels I just drift around the park and if I see something that I want to ride I go and ride it. Food wise my family and I always love to eat at the International Food Court because of all the variety. Knoebels has so many other food stands too that really anywhere you eat you will get amazing food! If I could one day I would just go and try every piece of food there is. At the end of the night I always get a sundae from Old Mill Ice Cream stand! Best Sundaes ever and not that expensive and really fill you up. I have never waited for a ride more than 15 minutes besides the Skooters. Have a great time!
  10. The Great White at Morey's Piers, Wildwood, NJ
  11. I think the big part was that the Safari would be included in the park admission and that the park admission would cost the same next season as it did this season.
  12. When you are standing in line for a B&M and you hear the coaster as it roars right past you. My Favorite individual coaster sound would have to be Skyrush while you are watching it from the new path. I love hearing the chain lift start and then hearing the coaster going over your head.
  13. Updated: Tidal Wave @ Trimper's O.C MD Sea Serpent @ Morey's Piers, Wildwood NJ
  14. The Great White at Moreys Piers in Wildwood!
  15. Dorney Park or Great Adventure during Halloween to experience one of their fright fests.
  16. This is a perfect ride for The Great Escape. I can see this ride being a big hit in the park.
  17. I have never done the Safari there before but will definitely go and check it out next year because it is included with park admission. Like someone previously posted, I am interested in knowing where Camp Aventura and the Zip Lines will be located.
  18. Quick question: Does anyone know what time they will be revealing their announcement tomorrow? I really don't want to keep refreshing Facebook all day tomorrow. I don't remember them saying any specific time they were going to make an announcement, so I guess it will be at a random time?
  19. Personally, I can see that happening having an announcement made for a new ride for the year 2014. However, I also feel like Six Flags wouldn't do anything like that. The only way I can see that happening is if they announce a new coaster to be built in Bizarro's current area. Then they may say that Bizarro will run to the end of this season and start being taken down most likely to be sent to another park within the system. Once Bizarro is taken completely down they would start to build a new coaster in Bizarro's footprints. That's my 2 cents about the whole Bizarro possibly leaving rumor. I mean I personally don't see an announcement of a new coaster coming to the park next season in tomorrow's announcement.
  20. Last night, I had a dream that I was at HersheyPark with my friend and it was her first time there. She was too afraid of going on Skyrush so she made me go on first and tell her how the ride was. I went on and the ride was perfectly fine and looked just like the videos I had seen online. So I made her get on and as we got to the top of the lift hill the ride rolled back into the station for some odd reason. Then they decided to resend us and we got to the 1st hill and went down but at the bottom of the 1st drop we got stuck.
  21. No to my mom talking to me Are you going to an amusement park within the next 2 weeks?
  22. Most of the schools in PA and the surrounding areas of Hershey will be back in school next week so it will lighten the crowds a bit. A few years ago when we went to Hershey we stayed at the Best Western Inn Hershey. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the park and is far enough away from the park that it is quiet.
  23. Went to Hershey last night and used the Twilight passes, my mom and I went in a little before 8PM and stayed right up to the end. Didn't get to do many rides only both sides of Lightning Racer,SDL, Kissing Tower, Log Flume (twice), and Reese's Xtreme Cup Challenge twice. SDL's new trains looked neat and the ride felt very smooth for me. Skyrush's line was too long right up to the ride entrance and my mom didn't want me riding because of my ear infection so I just sat on the path and watched it run. The one thing that really annoyed me was how many empty seats were on the train. At one point there was only 1 person in a whole row. Usually, I am a single rider and it would be nice to see if Hershey was somehow able to create a single rider line. It would definitely help fill in some of those empty spots on the trains. Towards 10:30 PM I went on and did RXCC and went right onto the ride using the Single Rider line. I came out and told my mom she should try because it won't affect her back.l We get in line a few minutes later and then around 10:50PM they announced they were having technical difficulties but we decided to wait it out. Finally about 15 minutes later the ride started working again and we boarded. During the ride our vehicle stopped for about 5 minutes before moving again. Lastly, we went to get Funnel Cake to have on the way out and waited 20 minutes for it. The cashier was taking her time and kept leaving in between customers to do something else. Then when you get to the cashier there was a huge puddle of water or soda all over the ground. The employees who were making the Funnel cake didn't even look happy and was being rude to some of us who aske d or chocolate syrup. Never had to deal with bad service like that at Hershey before.
  24. On the way home from Knoebels now and it was a great day! First talking about the Bumper Cars, I have a question the guy who is on the signs for the height and etc what is his name? He was working the Skooters today and was the 1st time I ever saw him but forgot his name. While waiting in line two kids were being obnoxious saying, "This old guy should stop yelling how to turn the wheel and just retire." Of course I get on and that kid keeps causing pileups and wasn't able to turn himself around. I was surprised that they don't check to see if you wear the seatbelt during the ride. Also when I got in my car there was a pair of sunglasses on the floor of the car. Today was also the 1st time I got to ride both Twister and Phoenix! Even though I have both an Inner and Outer Ear infection my mom said to go on because I haven't been dizzy the past week especially with running 2 hours each morning for XC practice. Twister- Walked right on after the rain stopped and sat in the front. Was a great ride and definitely had a lot more turns than I expected and was a bit rough for me. Went back on a few hours later and sat in the back row and surprisingly got a lot of airtime that I didn't expect! Phoenix- AMAZING! My new favorite wooden coaster instead of El Toro now! The 1st ride was in the 8th row and I had my hands up and wasn't expecting to get ejected off of the seat! Thought for an instant that I was going to fall out! Got right off and went back on line and sat in the 11th row but made sure to hold on! Still had great airtime! Overall it was a great day got to do some other flat rides but nice to return to the park after a 3 year absence. Checked out flying turns and didn't see anyone working on it and it looked the same as pictures previously posted.
  25. Going to Hershey on Saturday night and I'm hoping to get on most of the rides if it doesn't rain. Last time I was at Hershey we got on 2 rides and then there were multiple thunderstorms within the area the rest of the day and when we were leaving the park reopened. Never been on a launched coaster before and Storm Runner will be my first one. Anyone have any tips besides keeping your head back?
