  1. It doesn't bother me that much. I don't really notice too much on a ride/its understood. What does annoy me is when people yell at the top of their lungs the whole time/high pitched shrieking.
  2. Grizzly at Kings Dominion. A top 15 I'd say for me! In the back car the air time is insane, few inches off the seat my body pulling against the belt! Fast, rough but not violent. Not like how it used to be but still in the trees and has tunnels. Awesome ride! Blue Streak. Simple, but fun and some great airtime. Superman - Darien Lake. Again simple, and it's not anything mindblowing or unique but its really fast, smooth and has nice airtime.
  3. Forgive my massive n00bness...this is just having the hill after the first tunnel replaced with the barrel roll right? The rest fo the layout will be exactly the same? Is this getting the topper track or any of those things? Seemed like a pretty sweet ride, would hate for it to be tinkered too much. Also if it doesn't become a "hybrid" coaster of the new RMC style it wont technically be a new ride, unlike Iron Rattler and NTG
  4. Indeed, but on that note..don't forget about Gold Striker! With that, YOLO, outlaw run, rattler and gatekeeper gunna be a great year! Maybe flying turns will even open and complete the gift
  5. getting a nice fat tax return from Uncle Sam. This shall be my $ for the WCB and Cali trip. Thank goodness the government is giving me my money back that they took
  6. Obviously a good ride. That's what it's about. For example, if the ride is good it will be good, even if its stuck over a parking lot. If its not very good, well theming can improve the overall experience but if we wanted to pay for scenic rides, well nevermind because I can hike for free through the wilderness! Obviously though if you can get both great ride and theme...well you've won!
  7. Well ya know, the overall opinion is their coasters are painful, slow and usually awkwardly designed You are right though, they are coaster legends and their contributions are huge. Nostalgia had me say B&M first but I had to give it to Intamin, CFC has a good point, there is a sameness to them and Intamin has taken the innovation lead recently. These B&M wingriders seem kinda like a gimmick to me. Maybe I'm wrong, and floorless was also a gimmick.
  8. Long as they don't touch Blue Streak! Mean Streak has ironically become the mild streak...it was kinda sucky before but at least intense, now it's blah. That thing needs the RMC make over.
  9. The last time I was there, which was in October for Phoenix Phall Phunfest, they had finished re-designing and re-constructing the transfer area to accommodate three sets of track side by side by side, possibly indicating that they will want to make and run three trains. Forgive my noobness, what exactly is the issue? I thought they couldn't get the free rolling aspect going safely?
  10. damn not cool! All those pictures was literally seeing my childhood memories drown
  11. I think we all feel that way. This is silly I know but: Does anyone know if any progress has been made? New drop tower eh? Hell havn't been to Knoebels since I was 12 years old. May have to take a day trip, especially if Flying Turns opens (I can dream)
  12. I noticed that I like most B&Ms, while Intamin is more hit/miss....but with the hits being far better. Like stable and solid, or up and down but potentially better. I'd say B&M has been more innovative but Intamin had plenty of their own, like magnet brakes, elevator cable lifts, hydraulic launch, plug and play wooden coasters and the new double spine track. Damn hard choice actually but Intamins are just more enjoyable for me. Schwarzkopf! Only ridden a couple but they are fun little rides and the loops are damn forceful. I guess his rides just can't stand to today's but he's a legend and made some great rides.
  13. I was unsure about including Intamin, I wanted to keep it "traditional" but wood is wood, and they do make wooden coasters so why not? And didnt wanna get flak for it anyway I'm torn. I love GCI, and I've not ridden any GGs though they seem "better" so I'm giving my vote to the one that spawned both, and made some great ones. CCI
  14. Sweet Jebus. Then again...some madmen/trolls voted for Vekoma haha Why is there no vote for TOGO!? I could never decide...the fanboy/nostaglia in me says B&M but my brain says Intamin. I've come up with reasons to say B&M like they are more reliable, smoother/more comfortable but Intamin just has more coasters I like, 4 of my top 5, and 6 or 7 of my top 10. I also like intensity, which they are, and love the lack of MCBR...they also make non coaster rides and are far more diverse. Intamin it is...with B&M close second. Then yeah: Arrow and Vekoma in the depths
  15. Looks amazing. God, there is something sexy about a huge wooden coaster. Its just such an impressive feat...and it looks awesome. Should be fast too! What's most astounding is Ive seen aerial pics of CGA....how can anything be fit in there? Let alone a massive wood coaster. I can't wait to see just how it's gunna work. Unless one of those handy MS paint drawings exists to give an idea how itll work
  16. Pretty funny point! What's kinda disturbing is this rides spins you around...while navigating its own track with twists and flips, and they didn't think to put something in place to keep your legs contained??? Oi!
  17. Penn State man! After such a long gap (thanks to my f-in laziness) I'll finally graduate in May I always wanted the Vekoma SLC re built by B&M. It would be an intense ride but without the brain trauma! Including Jubilee Odyssey. I think it looks cool but could be less painful and ironed out to fix those stalls (if it still happens).
  18. I figured it'd be best to do this anyway, supposedly lines are quite outrageous. Unless we'll get ERT for it???
  19. Thankfully I'm no lightweight, both in my ability to handle G's/roughness as well as my increasing belly size
  20. Wow thanks guys, advice definitely welcomed. Especially since I most likely would've tried to take an outside row. Psyched to finally see CA and SFMM! Now just 7 months of saving $$ Yeah, Green Lantern looks fun but also like it may be torture...and I have to ride Viper...so I may just bring some advil with me in advance.
  21. Take your first ride in the front row, inside seat. TRUST ME on this! Who am I to doubt the man himself!?
