As for CP becoming more of a thrill park...I'm OK with it! I mean it's good to have family rides/sections and diverse appeal, buttt I'm A OK with more and more thrill rides and less family lol

Well, this is not much more concrete but certainly sounds like this alleged wing rider is happening! I will miss DT...it was a fun lil ride with no line and AC! Still, if this happens like it seems I can't wait to already start booking 2013!

Superb pics! Yeah it's not a whole day park, even if you relax and take your time (which you should do there anyway) but it's a real nice place. Also Kraken is a pretty sweet ride. I miss the days of going to FL

I didn't get fast pass, can I still get one when I get to KD if I choose to? Silly I know but my cash was limited and couldn't swing it at the time. And again: Anyone know if something gets mailed to us? It said so in the confirmation email, but I believe the trip page said nothing would be. Just wanna make sure my $ is there and I wont drive to VA and be denied

Well that'd be sweet but personally I wouldn't care because I like the B&M OTSR. Though lap bar is of course always better! Not to derail too far but I only rode one with the new Vekoma...I mean, it was kinda weird but I couldn't argue with em. Went from a torture device to almost no pain so I was ok with it haha

Glad to hear I'm o Hey glad to hear I'm not alone! I mean it's not a bad ride at all just eh...I left Green Lantern and thought "alright" and that's not a great sign lol I still enjoy Mantis but yeah, even that is not as great as it seems it should be. You may be right, perhaps these B&M stand ups dont age well (Ive only riden the two). They are fun though and have cool layouts so I'd love to see them convert to sit downs.

Planning on going soon. I hear it's 8 bucks for ride so I better get the most out of it! Is it as good a ride as we hear or just worth it for its fame?

One. Sidewinder at Hershey. I avoid the things. Even if it means lower count, quality I go for haha Though the new trains/restraints on the Sidewinder made the ride...smooth : O

I didn't feel it was foceless or rough at all. I like the layout with the inclined loop and two CS's. Well I've been on Mantis which I found a bit more so, it was just one ride though so I really should abstain from opinion. haha I'll have to ride again a few times and see.

Well I can't vouch for others but I did say I thought the ride was smooth, (no idea how anyone thought it rough) and made no mention of load times, (seemed fine to me). I just thought the ride was a bit of a let down lol I'll still go any time, but it was a bit forceless to me! Maybe a bad time was all?

What exactly is the beef? I'll admit if they are slacking/messing around with loading then yeah I (and probably everyone) hates that but if you mean a general attitude...who really cares? It kinda sucks if they have a bad tude but these are kids, probably with crap pay, and honestly working at a park seems like a crappy job. Edit: Yeah IDK, no park staff has really made me think "gosh they are good". Cedar Point is probably better than the hell hole that is my home park: Six Flags Great Adventure. Talk about a place that went downhill from my childhood! Not that it'll stop me

Yeah....to think just a few years ago SR was the ride....now I can ride 4 in a row with a total wait time of under 20 minutes! I can't believe Hershey has been so empty this summer. Except Fahrenheit, that wait seems to always be long! Funny, Id never dream of waiting an hour for that. Go figure

Great pictures! Sounds like a fun little park. How does Shivering Timbers run? I've heard people say it's not as good now (even it sucks) but Im not quick to believe the internet lol I hope it's wrong because it looks like an airtime machine and really fun! Also ST just looks so amazing. The hills, that structure, what a beautiful coaster!

Not painful but I actually did it find it kinda boring. It was a fine ride, but kinda...IDK forceless? I just left the ride and though "meh alright" I personally like Mantis better.

Its not one of those 100+ mega slides but I finally did a body slide at Hershey. I was worried about wedgie but that was fine, the landing was violent though! Going at a quick speed into that water at the end....WOW! I was blind, deaf, had water in my nose and one of my legs was going over a side. IDK how people ride those crazy huge ones.

Eventually I managed to do hands up the whole ride...I just had to be comfortable with "I will NOT fly out" Yes that was great to see, and the line really moves pretty quick.

We will see what happens in August when I ride I305 and Maverick, (and later on Bizarro and Boulder Dash hopefully) but for right now: 1. Millennium Force First rode it in 2001 and it's still my favorite. So fast and smooth, the pace never lets up. Maybe an odd layout (but I enjoy that) and not the most forceful coaster there is but just so damn enjoyable! 2. El Toro A close 2nd...I love intense rides so this is just tops. Speed, extreme airtime, (shame they slowed the lift I miss the airtime over the crest) and a ferocious pace. That figure 8 at the end....sweet Jesus! 3. Nitro Still holds up well. Good speed, good airtime, good pace and a fun layout. Some serious positive Gs on that helix. Just a well done hyper. 4. Skyrush A surprise! I thought it would be fun but I did not expect this. Most extreme airtime ever, honest fear of flying out on those quick flicks, an intense lil ride. Just to too short. If it was longer this would be up at #2. Hell maybe threatening #1 5. Storm Runner Better than KK or TTD in my book. Sure it doesnt go 120+ but a launch is always fun and I like how it actually has a layout. Intense one too! I get shoulder touching the restraint airtime right into those rolls...short but packs a whallop. Rounding out my top 10 (in no order) is Apollo's Chariot, Volcano, The Incredible Hulk, Kraken and Ride of Steel (Darien Lake). Weak list I know lol

You are 100% right though. Many people really DO complain about anything, which is a shame when it makes what is a real issue for some, like the Skyrush restraints, a really really big deal. I'll be really peeved if they did something like trim the hills (rage face) or altered the ride in any way because of it. But yes, that's generally the "masses"... people here on TPR seem much better informed and just better opinionated about coasters. OK now that sounded douchey ha Does it ever! I am a hands up guy but even after a few rides I had to grab something. Skyrush is one of the times I let out true, full bodied screams too. What a wicked experience.

Awesome. Stoked for this. Would love to make some coaster enthusiast friends. The confirmation order mentioned tickets (or something) being mailed to me but the event page said they would not be...and tickets are at KD for pick up. I'm guessing it's the latter? End of n00b questions I swear.

Excellent...I'm working on some no limits coasters: a 12 inversioner, a 100 mph "traditional" coaster and some woodies. Will post progress pics soon! Still need some fine tuning, I can live with floating track but not these Rattler like painful helixes heh

Bought the game a couple of weeks ago, have gotten used to it and belted out a few decent though pretty simple coasters and my biggest question is this: How do you guys tweak? Is it as simple, and painful, as going node by node? Like I have a whole coaster, and some parts are not perfect, so I adjust it but that throws the rest off. Is all you can really do just take that laborious time? I had a feeling it may be painstaking but wow!

We shall just have to see anyway. It's just one element, there's a whole coaster attached to it lol

Excellent point about sitting on those brakes. If so what mods would you expect? I just hope they dont touch an inch of that track! It's such a great ride they better not think of watering it down.
