  1. IKR its finally running fairly well and people just gotta tempt fate for us 1st timers. All a big joke when you've ridden already XD Also glad to see the waits are looking back to normal, (prepared to say the stupid huge crowds really were all spring break) Can anyone confirm how quickly TimeSaver has been selling out, or has it generally still been available day of? Im thinking when I go it'll prob be quiet enough to not be necessary. It SEEMS like on weekdays its generally been like 30 mins and under which is fine, I can tolerate that. BUT looks like $44 for up 8 skips? Lets say I use like 1 on MM 7 on LR or 8 on LR for $5ish per skip (basically)? Not a bad deal tbh.....
  2. Gotcha. And yeah its agonizing to see it. Never expected it to open up tbh but after Cedar Point, kinda curious
  3. Now that CP is opening up daily fast lane any word on KI?
  4. lol I mean there's really no way to justify/defend the prices. Its a simple matter of if you wanna go, just gotta accept it. That said I'm getting the itch bad now that I have finally finished school and have just hit freedom mode. SFNE isnt open. SFGAdv is only weekends which I am not doing, kinda thinking its time to bite the bullet and go here. Is there any hope al rides will be open/is there an up to date place to check? Like I recall the website being very non faith inspiring...if they say a ride is open, is it actually? ..........or should I just go the hour farther and brave aweekend for Great Adventure? XD But for real, to make up for 2020 and the fact it is there and open, I feel should go at least once. If its a let down, would not be the first time I felt cost did not justify the experience but online other times its happened.....at least time I'd be expecting it! EDIT: Non peak days of course (which I assume means weekdays) I aint paying the peak day price XD
  5. OK I've seen some empty pre-emptive hyping before but this one takes the cake lol 'Record breaking!' with 0 indication in what regard, what kind of ride and where haha Nah, it's deff going to Six Flags America. My prediction is 500 foot 15 inversion spinning coaster with 121.6 degree drop
  6. Yeah Im getting nervous I will just miss it... Pantheon is so close but parks seem (understandably) slow to open rides. Im keeping plans open but I'll be there in about a month and I dont think I can bring myself to go knowing it'll be closed esp if its opening like 2 weeks later lol Please coaster gods open up your Pantheon asap!
  7. Oof. That said thanks for the thread bump. I am visiting some friends in Vermont this summer and seeing made me think, I should stop here either on the way there or back!
  8. Last time I rode Goliath was 2015 and wouldn't say it was smooth, well it wasn't lol but it was not sooo bad, I did enjoy the ride. I thought it was pretty fun! Certainly wasn't rough enough to take away but if it got worse since I could see it really getting into unbearable. Agreed the bigger problem I had was in my three visits to SFNE I do think it was running a cumulative 3 hours lol Im sure regulars had better luck. Always sad when a ride is removed esp now when we cant know when replacements will happen, if at all but I realllly cant blame the park for this one. I mean downtime was famously heinous
  9. So excited about the Fast Lane news. Even on a weekday/event should be worth it for S V and maverick alone, and w limited capacity. Pretty excited. Oh shyhawk! I am a hardcore fanboy. I will not go to CP and not ride it, usually a few times.
  10. I mean, no...they or any park does not care about you lol or me or any one. Its bad enough enthusiasts already think parks do/should cater to us but what, like if you as an individual write them they will buck their entire policy for you? Believe me, I wish!! I also am shelving my BGT plans bc Iron Gwazi is not likely to be open and I agree, having been there not too long ago Im not willing to spend the extra $ of (pricy) park, extra travel, place to stay etc BUT that's just how it goes....much as I wish I could say "Open Iron Gwazi otherwise I am not going!" and they would listen.......I think our 5 tickets are not exactly enough to sway them. I'm disappointed too but like, cmon man lol EDIT: I re-read your post. You're still going to Tampa? Oh, see I was going there just for BGT, I was gunna tack it on to my visit to Tallahassee so its easy for me to shelve esp as I went to the park in 2018. If you're still going to be in Tampa....not gunna lie, should prob still go lol Still a nice park and wonderful experience, if you're still in Tampa, just do it. Like I went to Cedar Point and had the **** luck of Maverick being closed for those few weeks while they removed the barrel roll, likewise my first trip to SFMM X2 was down and others have gone to CP or DW multiple times and failed to get on TTD or LR. Sometimes we gotta suck it up and dont have the chance to save our $ you should either go OR be thankful you can save your $ on the tix...
  11. Yeah I'm praying to the coaster gods its opened when I'm in VA it looks like such a sick ride. Agreed, deff more hyped for it than Jersey Devil despite also being in my home park.
  12. Someone mentioned a few days ago they were here and Storm Runner was down. Just checking, its been generally operating so far, correct? I know it was down when I went last July and believe it was for the whole season.
  13. If referencing my comment about it'll prob be 2022 was just kidding dude lol Just taking a shot at SF and its (pre covid) slowness with this opening rides I know I'm behind the times, suddenly it's cool to defend SF (Cedar Fair now is on the **** list?) but eh what can I say? SF needs to do more than be open earlier than CF parks to win my heart XD I mean I wasn't even planning on going to Great Adventure until Jersey Devil opens. I am caving bc 1 its been so long 2 I do need El Toro 3 people seem to say the park is better than it used to be...so (excluding Covid which obvs has made everything weird) Im giving it another try. Once weather is nicer ofc!! If it is early June opening....that would be damn perfect for me actually so Im hoping!!
  14. Yeah I love the car! I dont think anyone has any idea. SF + covid dirsuptions...may be 2022 for all we know XD
  15. Ah well...to each their own! I'm not that bad lol Awesome @ dankeykang! That's great to hear. This is what I figured/others have said in the past. Figured it was just spring break/pent up demand crowds and 1 train ops....but seems all is returning to the norm. I grow ever more excited to go!
  16. Aw yeahhhhh. Also looking at the LR wait times I'm seeing that 1, it seems to be generally running most of the day? 2, the wait times look way down from a bit ago. Im guessing its still running 2 trains? Im thinking by May, with spring break well over, lines should be no issue : D
  17. That is fair, the ability to take a break and just walk to the hotel is quite nice. That is one downside to not staying on site for Coastermania, I always take a break (I need to) and of course gotta not just walk to the car but lose the sweet spot right near the park. Its true it IS an experience, it's one that I skip on now but having done so in the past it is quite wonderful. Gah all this makes me excited, can't wait for June 4 to be here!
  18. I probably still would in lines even if that requirement was dropped but for now prob best they keep that rule in place lol All in all not too concerned and really trying not to think about it. Been a weird balance between being prepared knowing things may not be quite "right" or go to plan but trying to also stay excited. Like I assume all the crowds Ive been seeing (almost universally) are due to spring break, openings etc and I assume the days I plan to be here will be fine, but ya know its a whacky year.....trying to go w the flow and not sweat it. Esp as here does have the time saver if need be.
  19. Yeah same, esp since express is not far. Like sure its not right there, and you dont get to look out your room and see the park and its pretty and all but its literally just a few minutes away. To each their own I suppose. 3 nights is $600 extra is that worth a few minutes convenience and (admittedly) pretty view? Some yes, me no. But also...I've done the whole stay on site for my first time thing (paid for by the parents btw as I was like 13 lol) so easy for me to say. EDIT: Oh I see on site hotel already booked. Well there ya go! Hope it's a great time, this may be funny from me who can sometimes over plan but just try to not go tooooo crazy w it and just enjoy. I do think 3 days is plenty, if FL opens by then great, if not well...we're all in the same boat lol the idea of being at CP without makes me want to pass out but....its our choice to do these things this year, things are still not normal, all we can do is roll with it
  20. Agreed, cliche and I'd not say it if I didn't mean it but nothing quite like the first trip to the point. There for 3 days, you will certainly enjoy it. I still get a twinge of excitement when I go and a good feel driving up on the peninsula, seeing the coaster skyline, and I've been prob 10 times. After kind of taking it (and parks in general) for granted I'm feeling excited again this year!
  21. Damn, does look like a compact little ride, and checking out the stats, 56 mph? Deff could be intense and forceful. Crazy the rides that are packed into this place!
  22. Of course, and its unfair even to pin it on certain states, groups etc most people, regardless of where, will take the liberty provided esp after a year of this...those of us who have taken it seriously and followed protocols (and I mean that I nixed all my park trips and in general didn't leave the city except to go home twice) take the mask off when we can. So yeah can't judge, not moralizing, (except that I hope everyone gets the vaccine, which I know not all are....and that does piss me off) but yeah, whatever I'm neutral on the action, am fully aware how people will respond to it and long as people aren't around I deff won't be wearing it either (and if I am and someone makes some snide remark to me I dont give a **** lol already dealt with it in FL when some people would openly mock/be angry with me for wearing a mask) I'm excited to just finally be going to this legendary park, trying to almost downplay it bc I'm scared of overhyping it. Tough to contain though as I'm currently looking up lodging, feels "real" now
  23. Nice. I have no issue wearing them, and I likely still will at times, BUT when moving and hot its deff not super pleasant. Given I'll be vaxxed by then, it will be nice to enjoy some outdoor face freedom lol Would deff put it on around groups/people. Ha yeah Bill we already know exactly what will result from letting people handle it themselves.
