Cool, long as its still the case. I just wont bother getting there till 11. Hopefully all opens! Only had my 1 visit but not everything did indeed open at 11 some took a while longer, and yeah there was so little staffing/lines were so long it was insane. This one ride they had non ops (they were clearly employees but almost certainly not normal ride ops) having to do this one ride

So the site is offering season passes for $49.99 which is already crazy but wait "Admission + parking to other Six Flags theme parks" Surely its 1 time only, not like, unlimited visits to others right? But still.....for fifty bucks?? 1 visit to SFNE and Great Adv and that's absolutely paid for already. It almost seems too good to be true. I wont be going here more than once this year but **** a free visit and parking to SFGAdv on top of it, am I missing something? Otherwise seems like a no brainer

Oh good. I didn't follow all that since I didn't do parks last year but it sounded like kind of a pain and stressful. Glad to hear. I did this basically to make use of the CF platinum pass I got as a Christmas gift in 2019 lol but sounds like its turning into a pretty normal visit! I do hope the Coastermania itinerary is released sometime soon. I mean less than a month away! I notice the park hours currently end at 8, not 10 (covid change I assume) this makes me kinda happy. Assuming they do night ERT, wont have to go till 1230 or 1 or whatever it was. Not that I minded, and a nap got me through but even for me that was one helluva long day.

Yeah, I was worried about this given covid and all because it may have been a bad day...but they didn't have all rides operating/enough staff when I went in 2018! In general I had a pretty bleh day actually, the park ops/running were kind of a mess and maybe it was just a local bashing on their home but dude I was with made it seem like this wasn't exactly uncommon. Speaking of, park opens 1030 I see. Is this guests are let in, but rides open at 11? I recall last time being caught off guard by the half hour of park open but not rides

Oh I remember those days. Was one of the first to get on Kingda Ka aka a few of us took a day off school to go haha bragged so hard how we waited 3 hours for it. Now 45 mins (depending on the ride, some are lower) and I want to die XD But glad to hear all the positive reviews! Absolutely stoked to visit, (still need to try Hargrids as well!) Yeah to Bill and Elissa and I agree, I almost always prefer an Intamin even when it does have reliability issues which I'll concur seem a bit overhyped, but still they just are better rides than most B&Ms so yeah, gimme an Intamin any day!

Is the intamin hate valid or just enthusiasts being enthusiasts? Like same community that managed to hype up a break run shed to the point they were disappointed XD or I thought the world was coming to an end based off my medias bc of the train bump thing SVs opening day lmao But yeah glad they are indeed soft opening. The temptation is strong to still add that extra 4 hours and swing by Orlando for a day.....but nah just too much extra time, mostly $, and yeah no guarantee it'll be open (though I kinda expect it will be but oof would I be destroyed if it wasnt). I'll indeed wait for crowds and (some) heat to die down and go later this year. I've hearing nothing but great stuff and that the 1st half is not slow. Whoa its like a phone taken video from a distance is not the best judge XD Seems like Universal really did hit a grand slam with this one

Now that we're into May, what have the crowds been like on the weekdays? Getting close so just trying to gauge what I can expect and if it is indeed worth getting the time saver. If it may be useful...can anyone speak to if they have generally been available day of? Again I'm asking for recently...not earlier this season, Im aiming to get a feel for what it'll be like in 1-2 weeks

I'm pretty ignorant on this end of things, and I fully admit I try not to bother, I don't want to know lol But given the chaos of last year, which ya know we're all excited things are looking better but things are not yet "over" and obvs parks need time to recoup from the difficulties, I cut em slack. While I vent when I'm bummed about things bc ya know we're people and it IS ok to vent, I went into 2021 expecting not ideal conditions and that parks would get botd. So I'm giving em all some slack. 2022 is when the actual annoyance will resume XD Yeah it's a wonderful park, haven't been in years and it's unfortunate I'll be in VA and this will likely not be open but assuming this is so I won't be going. To each their own but I just dont wanna be there seeing it, knowing sometime this year will open, but I can't. I'll just be sad/feelin dang this could've been better, so yeah I'll save it for next year, maybe sneak a road trip later this year when it opens assuming Im still in NJ

Oh I know, I am a stormrunner fanboy so my 2020 visit was a little sad Didn't know it was still down and bc of a piece, I just assumed was a weird covid protocol so good to know! I don't follow news as well as y'all and I don't really follow parks on the social medias and all so I never know this stuff ha Deff excited though, I will prob stop by Hershey in early June on my way back from Ohio. Hope SR is open by then but not banking on it, which is OK. It'll just be nice to be at Hershey again when it's not July and (hopefully) not uber crowded. I've heard from my brother and couple others Candymonium is better in front, which I never did so maybe that will make the ride a tad less...lackluster XD

Yeah but thats fine. See that's normal. I wish people wouldn't use "decline" that implies its gotten worse with age, opposed to what Id hope most enthusiasts would know that rides can be temperamental. But yeah hopefully they get it open before the end of May. Its not terribly far from me in NJ but also not worth it when others are closer so yeah would love to stop here before I gotta move back!

Sigh...I always tell myself dont listen to most enthusiasts, despite all logic they tend to be wrong/no idea what they say most of the time and sure enough You being a rare exception so kudos XD And yeah it did run a bit off at one point in the day (I went like opening week) but still kicked ass. Can't wait Oof...I HOPE the park is ready to open on the 10th. As ya said, it was coming eventually. But yeah deff excited to stop here at least once before I ship out of New England

Nah I'm there just for the 4th. This is why the FL news is so exciting, I haven't done multiple days at CP in ages, I go pretty hard and sleep in big the next day lol But yeah I was thinking the event covered it. Once Im home may check and see if you can reserve days w/o needing to buy a ticket, if so no harm in doing it

Agreed. Also I assume those of us who bought coastermania tix dont need to reserve our day? The day is already set, and the tickets were bough via that page. Or can we still set our day independently?

BTW its confirmed CP has been running full trains? Hmmm maybe. Leaning towards no. Wondering if better to save $ for a FastLane at Carowinds, planning on being there for opening day (just how it worked out ha). But yeah so glad Cedar Fair has opened it up. I was prepared to do so...but the thought of CP without FastLane was giving me anxiety ha

Im just excited to be going to parks again! That I can put my CF platinum pass to use, get to move beyond the 2 towns that have been my life the past year! Been wanting to get back to KI since I went in 2018? God I dont even remember ha Speaking of....I see the KI FastLane is now on sale. OK so on normal days, what crowds would be expected on a weekday in Early June/are schools out? Last time park was quiet, no need for a FastLane but ya know...things are a little weird these days. I dont think I'm gunna pull the trigger on it, but is tempting.

For real. All jokes aside that is my only real beef with going to parks with "GP" friends. They never wanna get to the park by opening, let alone early, and I keep it cool but its so clear throughout the day how badly it can hurt. Glad it was an excellent day!!!! Can't wait to get here. Prob next year.
