  1. Did they do some track work to Prowler? I know there used to be a lot of complaints. It's hard to keep up with all of the rapid fire information that comes out in this thread.
  2. It doesn't describe you at all, because nothing says that you not liking something makes you entitled. You shouldn't be expected to like a product. It's the job of Six Flags to find acceptability from the consumer. It's not the consumer's job to be automatically accepting to the product. Organizations throughout the world have convinced the masses that their expectations need to be lower. Businesses, governments, social organizations, etc. It has become sinfull to want more.
  3. I haven't been in this thread since the beginning of July and there are only two unread posts.
  4. You're foreshadowing a lot more than the amusement park industry.
  5. Sounds like a business model geared toward lower-middle class 13-17 year olds. Build more marketable shit, and let everything else fall apart. You can make a lot of money from that demographic.
  6. They sell you bullshit, like every other corporation.
  7. What's with the Marvin the Martian thing?
  8. Be honest with yourself. Do you expect it to get any better after the merger?
  9. It's reassuring to know that SFStl's failures are on the corporate level. I told my daughter and it put her at ease. Looking forward to the merger. No one should complain about the carousel not being open. If we look at it from a numbers perspective, a couple more weeks is only a very very very small fraction of time from when it first went down. How's that for positive thinking?
  10. I've learned that Mom is always right, even when she isn't.
  11. I mean... if the restraints cause no pain people won't complain about them causing pain. The restraints ruined it for us. Aside from that, we might go back this summer. What are the big differences between Hershey Hotel and Hershey Lodge? We had fun at the lodge in 2019. This time around, we're going to spend 2 days at the park and 2 days doing whatever. We're going to take a day to hang out by the pool. The Hotel seems to be geared a little more toward relaxation/luxury. That might be our ticket this time around.
  12. At least you have concrete. SFSTL hasn't even moved any dirt in Joker's spot.
  13. lmfao @ no activity at Joker's location. Status quo for Six Flags. At least the Carousel looks like it's running good.
  14. If you like really intense rides, you'll love I305. It was a little much for more than a few rides for us, but we're in the minority. Enjoy.
  15. God damn, Shakespeare. I made it two paragraphs before I scrolled down and realized I was reading a novel about a toddler themed indoor amusement park, located in a shopping mall.
  16. It doesn't work that way with all kids. She knows the difference between a simulator and the real rides. She's afraid. It's fine.
  17. en·ti·tled adjective believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. "kids who feel so entitled and think the world will revolve around them" Explain to me how someone is entitled because they don't like Six Flags parks, or at least compared to other parks.
  18. That's as close to a roller coaster my daughter will ever get for another ten years.
  19. I'm not taking the time to find it, but I saw a side by side POV somewhere where LR was running at nearly the exact same speed pre-launch. But, I'd be willing to trust the word of a guy who pretty much rides roller coasters for a living over someone watching YouTube. I'm all for the consumer over the corporation, but damn. I'm sure you'll get a few ten-year-olds boasting about how the ride "sucks" now, despite riding it... Even with the outliers, in a couple years no one will care anymore. A large portion of guests will never know it had a launch. I bet they will love it over a "ride's closed" sign. RMC and DW rolled the dice on LR and they lost. Better choices could have been made, maybe. Regardless, I'll just be happy to know if I ever go back to DW again I will actually be able to ride LR.
  20. Yeah. The most scary part to me is that it's a private sector arms race at this time to see who can make the best programs the fastest, without thinking about the consequences. God only knows haw fast governments are moving on it. This will be ether a spectacular success, or failure catastrophic to all of us who have absolutely no say so. I'm not a fan of government regulation, but I feel the need for some kind of intervention. Everyone is so concerned with us vs. them social issues right now that most people I talk to have absolutely no idea this is all happening. (by design?) Those most influential with AI claim it will be immeasurably more significant than the industrial revolution, and it will happen much faster than anyone will see coming.
