Photo TR: TPR Midwest trip, Geauga Lake, and Dollywood

A few more: Is this why Raven only had one train when it opened? This one was difficult due to the amount of trees and such. There are still a few inconsistencies visible if you look carefully This one was a little more complicated This one is fairly basic -
Theme Parks You Always Think About?
WillMontu replied to sfmmrules!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I used to have dreams about visiting CP and still do from time to time (not as much now that I've been there and also dreams visiting BPB again. I would like to visit Busch Gardens Euroburg, Great Aventure, and Knoebels in the future, along with some of the parks in Europe. -
orlando's universal parks vs. its busch parks???
WillMontu replied to xcastn0shad0wx's topic in Ask Alvey
Another thing- If you do go to IOA, make sure you ride in the front row on Ice Dragon and the back seat on Ice. If the parks are busy, a lot of the rides have Single Rider lines. They make a HUGE difference in the wait time on busy days, as long as you don't mind being labeled "Sad and Pathetic" by the occasional ride-op. -
Return of the Theme Park Review house

Just want to bump this, as I'm in the process of making Soren, Jahan, Lou, and Jeff. There are some limitations to the facial features and such (plus I'm really bad with faces anyway), but I did the best I could. Also, I've built a Carrabbas and a small fair (with a credit) and have started on an IKEA (kind of difficult since there aren't any in the area and I've never been to one)] Sorry to disappoint, but nobody's died yet -

Unfortunately I don't have much motivation to get this finished. It takes time to post the hundreds of pictures from each park, only for the topic to get buried again. My UK TR had the same problem, but since I didn't have as many pictures, I finished it off. I have posted a lot of the pictures on Picassa. (http://picasaweb.google.com/william.mccombie) and some of them Facebook, but would like to know if I should post all of them here too. Keep in mind that I also have some high resolution panoramic shots (and maybe some coaster porn) to post. I have 121 shots from SFGAm 298 from CP 253 from Kennywood 287 from PKI 78 from Stricker's Should I: Continue as the TR was originally going, posting everything here on TPR? I understand that it was graphic intensive, and some people still use modems. Post everything, but only a handful at a time, allowing people to respond and spacing out the images a bit? Post 50 or so pictures from each park? Post only the best shots from each park? If I don't get any response, I will simply finish it here and post links to my Picassa galleries BTW: Dave- I did get my camera back, though I broke it a few days ago by dropping it in sand. Beech Bend (Unfortunately I didn't get all of Rumbler in the shot) More than corn in Indiana? You decide. Not much left of THIS skyline Kings Island -
FLIPDUDE's Midwest PTR

I took a handful of shots in the rain too. Keeping mind that the flash has a limited range (and that it didn't work either) and I didn't want to get my camera wet, so they are a little blurry From my Photo TR: Hotel on the left, park on the right, parking lot in the center, pouring rain everywhere. Taken from the skyway connecting the hotel to the indoor waterpark. The ERT that never came -

Every park has it's pros. Do you want flat out credits? Since you've never been to IOA, you might want to do that, as everything is new. Universal has also added a few attractions, including the Woody Woodpecker coaster, Mummy, MiB (king of shooting dark rides) Also keep in mind that visiting BGT will take a bit of time going to Tampa and back. If you drive, you need to pay for gas too, but I think there is also a shuttle between BGT and SWF. Since 1999, BGT has added Rhino Rally (some people like it), replaced the Dolphin show with a 4D attraction, closed Akbar, added Cheetah Chase, built a new entrance, and added SheiKra. SeaWorld has changed a little bit since 1999 also. They totally re-themed the sky tower, added Kraken, changed the shows around a bit, and added a few rides to the kids' section (including a coaster) -
Pointless new attractions
WillMontu replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
SFFT adding Goliath/Batman. There are two identical rides in the same general area. -
There's nothing wrong with the Dog Fart Coaster. What is it themed to? A dog farting. What could be more appropriate? As for naming rides "Roller coaster", I know some of the older coasters have that name because back in the day many rides were named that, but the renaming of Manhattan Express to that seems backwards and unoriginal. Manhattan Express stood out (though not in a positive way among enthusiasts) Other bad names: 7Up Shockwave at Drayton Manor (at least they renamed it to just Shockwave) Boomerang (the one at Wild Adventures is a slight exception as it is in an Outback themed area) Corkscrew

^ The forums have been acting up over the last few days so double posts can be expected. The Ass-istants will get around to removing them. There's rides that would be scary to riders and rides that would be scary to onlookers. While riding, there would be rides like many launched coasters, dive machines, Dueling dragons, etc.

^ I was the one who took that picture. It was you and Ryan http://picasaweb.google.com/william.mccombie/CedarPoint/photo#5123451368608092050 http://picasaweb.google.com/william.mccombie/CedarPoint/photo#5123451381492993954 I uploaded nearly 300 of my CP shots onto Picassa as it was easier than uploading them one by one to my PTR only to have them buried. -
Why did they do that?
WillMontu replied to Fallen Heretic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why did they put G-trains on SOB? Why do Cedar Fair parks have so many trashcans? Why won't they put Millennium Flyers on Gwazi? It would do wonders to the smoothness and capacity of the ride -
Other "famous" people: Derek and Nicole, Wes, Dave Thomas, Big Mike, Joe (Parktrips), Jeff Johnson, KidTums, Yeti-Ball. Others that are fairly well known: Soren, Erik Johnson, Chuck, Barry, Guy, Non-German Tom, Paul (TPR's other resident Canabian), myself (well, not really, though I have been on a few trips)

Nothing against BPB, but the marketing for a used SLC was a little overboard. Brand new* at Blackpool Pleasure Beach! It's INFUSION, the greatest roller coaster in the world**. The ride is like no other*** * Not exactly the same ride you rode last year at Southport ** Enjoy the ride. We'll be over on Grand National *** The first SLC built completely over water.

Theme Park Review Hoodies are BACK!!!

Okay, I gave in. I've ordered a large black zip-up. -
Although I was born in NZ, I'm technically a Florida resident, so I can't vote in this one. I first went to EPCOT in 1995 and then Magic Kingdom a year later. After 1997, I only got to visit Universal Studios and Busch Gardens parks until I visited MGM and Animal Kingdom in 2006 with Robb and Elissa and the gang.

Nice job, a little bit like my recent TR. "Wes, I want to hypersleep with you!" is one of the best captions ever\ Have you ever thought of a Gorillapod?. I took mine to EPCOT a few days ago and got some nice shots.
