Your favorite artist and work of art
rcjp replied to USRoadTripper's topic in Random, Random, Random
I really like Salvador Dali's paintings. And this has to be my favourite! I even painted a copy (well, tried to although it wasn't that bad) on an arts class a few years ago) -

Watching those pictures only makes me want to try working at a park like CP even more! Glad you're having a good time. -
Parks that Don't Get Crowded
rcjp replied to coasternate's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only park that I've visited which seems to fit this is indeed Dorney. I went there on a Saturday in late August last year and although it looked like there were some people, the lines were always small. -

Oh those sounds were clearly suspicious! -
^I do hope CF don't start doing that with every new coaster, but so far I'm okay with Fury 325.

I don't know about that. I think Mantis with floorless trains would be a lot of fun but I'm sure Raptor would still be lightyears ahead of it. Personally I love Gatekeeper despite the amazing amount of hate that it gets so I have a hard time believing Floorless Mantis would be better than that either though many people would probably disagree with me on that. I would take take Mantis in its current state over gatekeeper! Thats just me. GK is super smooth and a very pretty ride. Just doesn't do it for me. Raptor hands down is the best B&M at CP Srs? I'd rank GateKeeper above Raptor, and I'd put it just behind Millenium Force & forth overall at the park. Really? Raptor is my favourite ride at the park (I did not get to ride Maverick) with TTD coming second and MF third. Then gatekeeper. It's not bad, it's rather fun, actually. But not very intense and that ending is terrible. However, I think the worst thing for me was how it seemed to rattle if you sat in the outside seats (which I always do) from the 3rd or 4th row back. The restraints do not help either. Yeah, but that's my opinion. I'm starting to feel a vertical rattle on GateKeeper. A year old, and it's getting a rattle? I rode it last year and already felt it. (closer to the back it was pretty nasty) -

I've never been a fan of arrow supports. They kind of look like a mess of steel. -
^I'm not a fan of "Air" either but I do like Fury 325

^Having not ridden any RMC yet, I find it funny how the ones that look (based on POVs and animations) the most appealing to me are the smallest (WC and medusa) -
What was your first Intamin Coaster
rcjp replied to grsupercity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My first was indiana jones et le temple du péril at Disneyland Paris. Not terrible but not as good as the others I've now ridden. -
What was your first B&M Coaster?

The oldest one I've ridden was at great adventure last year and it was in great shape. Super super smooth. -

Having ridden all three, I would say that, in terms of intensity, Mantis is in the middle. -

Same thing here, Nitro has one of the worst color scheme's I've ever seen. And Mantis is just one step closer to having Nitro's colors. But every B&M is photogenic in my opinion. Originally I didn't like nitro's colours too but for some reason I now think they're fine. Oh, and I really like Mantis' scheme. -
Interesting.... I definitely agree about Coaster Express but I don't think that Furius Baco is among the roughest at all. Sure it is pretty rough but I've ridden many worse ones in that department. In which seat did you ride? As to Stampida, I'm beginning to thin that I'm the odd one out as I seem to be the only person here who got a non-rough ride and enjoyed it a lot. It wasn't smooth, but not that shaky either.

Gerstlauer's wheels taste the best. Premier also makes some tasty ones but not quite the same.
