  1. Interesting... It seems to lose more speed than the original ones as it doesn't make it quite as far up the lift (after it drops) neither does it backwards. It also appears to take its time to come back down again, but maybe it isn't terrible
  2. Whiplash would actually be a pretty good name for a coaster. Anyway.. http://rcdb.com/636.htm?p=18156 Steel coaster with a wooden coaster train Last year, during the TPR Mexico tour this was included and there is even a POV! (different trains, though)
  3. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
  4. I know the ride itself isn't anything special but I enjoyed space mountain at Disneyland Paris. As I haven't been on many well themed rides this one looked good and I loved how the "ambience" sort of builds up the anticipation (and also fear for those less comfortable with "big" coasters).
  5. Last summer (steel force). When was the last time you rode............ AN SLC??
  6. Apple Mercedes or BMW?
  7. ^Thanks. Really interesting, and I just have to say that the original hyper idea looked massive!
  8. You can have the all day lockers which work well.
  9. ^That probably would be the best option. I also went to the park on a Saturday, last year (in August) and although the water park was crowded the park itself wasn't, at all (no more than 15-20 minutes). However when the water park closed it got pretty packed with lines increasing considerably, so I would say you should try to ride as much as possible until later in the afternoon.
  10. That would be great, I think. Agree, it would add something "new" to the ride while pretty much staying the same, so that it wouldn't be "unethical".
  11. ^I would rather see them doing something to Mantis than raptor, as I think it's pretty much perfect the way it is.
  12. With all the positive reviews I've heard about the Vekoma stingray I wonder why it hasn't showed up in more parks. Looks pretty cool too.
  13. ^It doesn't look very complicated for them to do it, I guess Now those were some smooth transitions!
  14. When I went to Disneyland Paris with my friends one of them said that space mountain ran at something like 300 km/h. But he was quite convinced when I insisted it was nowhere near that.
  15. ^Makes sense, it's common for some many coasters to run faster in the afternoon as they warm up. Last summer I rode Millennium Force in the morning and afternoon and you could definitely tell the difference going through those airtime hills.
  16. Last summer (Iron Dragon - CP) When was the last time you experienced headbanging on a coaster?
  17. Busch Gardens. SLC or standup TOGO?
  18. ^I remember yesterday when I looked at the webcam I could see a guy in that area and, given his size, it didn't really look like a tight squeeze but we'll see.
  19. I agree. I've said this plenty of times but when I rode it last summer it was (obviously) intense and I got silky smooth rides with not one bit of headbanging whatsoever (both in the front and very back). I am amazed by this as the ride was then 20 years old and it has all those snappy quick transitions that must put a lot of stress on the trains. Either maintenance has done a wonderful job with it or the ride is simply astonishing (well, it already is anyway )
  20. This perfectly describes the only Morgan I've been on: Steel Force. I get what you mean, but there was just something on Steel Force that made it a lot of fun. Even though your feet are not dangling like on B&M hypers I felt that the restraints allowed you to move vertically a bit more which made those last hills great! I don't think they are "as good" but it put a smile on my face in a way many coasters didn't, and I praise them for that.
